We came in yesterday & I immediately noticed it was ADORABLE & TRENDY! I got the smaller of the two bowl options of Pacific Beach Açai bowl (Açai bowl topped with strawberries, blueberries, granola & coconut shreds) with no honey & the friendly employee was able to substitute the honey for a drizzle of almond butter! The Açai is premade in a container in a freezer so it is not blended fresh for every bowl, but that's fine because it was delicious anyway! I guess it's a plus since they won't have to use a loud blender every time someone orders a bowl! It was quicker than most Açai bowl places too because of this. My boyfriend made his own bowl & topped it with strawberries, banana, blueberries, granola & peanut butter! He got the larger size. I tried a bite & his was SO GOOD as well! Really great acai bowl place. The staff is very friendly and informative. They let you sample the bases I'd you've never been there and they'll answer and explain all their ingredients. I got the protein bowl. It has the dragonfruit which is so good. They put a good amount of fruit on oo and the peanut butter and Nutella drizzle are delicious! And their granola is far superior than other acai bowl places. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas so even on a hot day,you'll get some shade or you can sit inside or order to go. It took me a few minutes then I remembered, Yes! I saw the sign for Baya Bar a few times driving on Amboy Rd in Tottenville. But I needed a place I can perch on a seat and do some work from my laptop. Do you think they'll let me sit on a table to work on my laptop? Answer: Yes. And that's all it took. I've been to Baya Bar several times since. Their bowls are amazing. There staff is awesome. And their decor is dope. The bowls come in four different bases: Acai, Kale, Pitaya, or Coconut. In each base category, you have the choice of five different bowls based on toppings. Beyond that you can make your own bowl my selecting your fruit add-ons and it doesn't matter what you choose, everything is review worthy and I don't have a favorite. Their homemade juices are great too, specifically the 24 Carrot Magic and Lean Green. Be sure to sign up for the rewards card. The points add up quick so you can start getting discounts, which you'll need if you start visiting this place more than once per week. Bowls range from $10-$11 each for a good amount of yum yum. This place is wonderful! I have been here quite a few times and everything I have had is always very fresh. I am excited that they have recently opened a second location on Hylan Blvd. My favorite go-to green drink is the Lean Green - this is a green juice of cucumber, green apple, and spinach. It is very light and a great way to get your greens in! I have also had the Bella Nutella - this was an acai base that was topped with banana, strawberry, granola, coconut shavings, Nutella with an addition of peanut butter. You have the option to add on to your bowl as well as swap ingredients. I really enjoyed this but I learned I am not a huge fan of coconut, so would swap that out next time. My friend had ordered a kale-based bowl and I thought I would really not like the taste of it, but it was quite refreshing. For those of you skeptics out there, don't knock it till ya try it. ALSO - a huge plus, they have turbo coffee. Not many places in Staten Island do. So this makes me very happy. This is a great healthy option for any meal of the day! Firstly, they have a convenient location with a parking lot. Secondly, I have a nut allergy and Steve did everything to make sure that the bowl I got did not come in contact with nuts. If you love smoothie bowls, this is your place. They have four options for the base of the bowl, and tons of options for toppings. There are pre-made recipes and a make-your-own option. I opted for the baya pitaya bowl with an addition of banana. The bowl is huge, delicious, and so filling. I have an obsession with pitaya bowls and this one definitely did not disappoint. They also make juices and regular smoothies if you aren't in the mood for something so filling. The location is sort of odd, it can easily be missed if you weren't specifically looking for it. Prices are average compared to any other place I've gotten smoothie bowls from before. Pretty empty on a Sunday at 1 PM, but it seemed like they had many to-go orders getting made (I'm not sure if it's just pick up or they have delivery as well?) Service was friendly and the cashier signed me up for some sort of rewards program so I'm guessing if you go often enough you get some rewards! I was hesitant in writing this review , because I do love the quality of the food its just the older woman who helped us was so awful .. She was besides MEAN and nasty to me and my children, she was rude and yelling at the poor employees who worked there too .. in front of the customers.. which to me is classless.. Finally a place that specializes açaí bowls on Staten Island. They have bowls that range from açaí to kale, coconut and pitaya. All the bowls are very good and a must try. I always get something different when I am there. I recommend getting the hemp granola instead of the traditional granola because it has more flavor. My go to bowls are baya pitaya and açaí you later. They are a bit pricey and to add extra toppings will raise the price even more. But it is definitely worth it.
