This coffee shop is really cute. They have some seats inside and few outside. The owner is really nice and extremely easy to talk to. We ordered the the cold brew which was smooth and delicious. They use Parler Coffee beans. They have a wide variety of goodies to choose from Muffins, cookies and eggs. The day we went we had a cookie with our coffee. It was very good. Overall, this place is great. I love having a small coffee shop like this, to the big commercial ones. def stop in to get a coffee here it will be worth it. In one of the few areas on Staten Island that looks more like the other boroughs, it's fitting that there should be a hipster cafe. I had a macadamia latte and it checks out. If Main St Tottenville wasn't cute and quaint enough!! This little gem of a coffee shop is located on Main St. with parking being a big difficult, plan on walking a couple blocks. A short distance from Amboy Rd. You can browse the various store fronts some empty waiting to be utilized. Excellent coffee and delicious food menu, various toasts a fruit bowls available. Backyard seating also available. The service was outstanding and was getting busy for a Sunday morning. read more

Terrible experience. The place was dead and it took 20 mins to get 2 coffees. Ordered an iced latte with oat milk and it tastes like caramel and whole milk. The other coffee tasted like alcohol. Would not recommend. read more

Went here for the first time. Very nice and cozy shop. Staff was super friendly. My friends and I had the avocado toast, coffee, and matcha tea. Food was amazing! My only complaint might just be the matcha tea was not the best but overall a very good coffee shop. read more

YIKES. My experiences here have ranged over the years, from amazing to awful, and today tops the awful list. The woman working there this morning has no business being there at all. As far as our interaction went, she spoke no English which was fine for ordering purposes, but not so great when she completely botched my drink. Who was I going to complain to??? When I walked in, she was talking on her phone for a solid 3-5 minutes while I just stood there waiting. When she finally took my order and we looked on the screen to confirm it was right, she again got on her phone when she started making my drink. As a former barista I can say that she was not trained at all in the art of making espresso drinks. She didn't just burn the milk she steamed for my latte; she absolutely scorched it into the core of the earth. As of now, it's been 15 minutes since I ordered and I cannot imagine when it will cool down enough to take a sip. What a let down. Who let this woman behind the counter?? read more

Was back this morning for more than just coffee. I really enjoyed the cozy decor and cool vibe. The hipster toast was delicious. Definitely hit the spot for my like of starting the day with a savory breakfast. The Churro waffle was super yummy as well. Again, the owners were super friendly. My boyfriend and I went here this morning and we really enjoyed it. The food and coffee was great and very inexpensive. I got the hipster toast and he got the toast with ricotta (forgot what it's called). Both were soooo good. The only thing I would suggest is more seating, but it is a very small area so I don't blame them. We'll definitely return read more

Not your place if a nice quaint vibe is part important to you. When I arrived there was split coffee right at entrance and despite mentioning this the staff nothing was done. Two main windows were boarded also making the inside feel like a basement. Disappointed by the inside, we moved to the outside space and felt let down. Maybe too much expectations as I was looking forward to checking this place out. On a positive, I enjoyed the food. The portions were generous too. Skip the coffee. read more

Arguably some of the best coffee on South Shore. (IMO) I recommend the Cold Brew growlers. They only charge you for the refill after buying the growler and the stuff is black gold. If you're a coffee snob you'll be happy. The stuff is strong so be brave. It's a cozy little spot just a block down from the 123 precent. Has a few tables and chairs to sit at and a great mix of teas and pastries and what not for anyone looking to chill out for 20 minutes and unwind. Give them a visit. read more

Went into main st coffee this morning for breakfast to support a local biz....what a mistake! Waited over a half hr for 3 orders of plain pancakes....when they did finally arrive the pancakes were these 3 tiny lil things that weren't even warm & over cooked for 9 bucks! No silverware to eat with! No one ever mentioned you have to get up & get your own the plastic wear! Just a bad experience from the min we walked in the front door that no one could figure out how to keep closed! Maybe put a sign up that says turn handle and pull closed! Or "Don't waste your time"! Stick to the coffee & beverages or hire someone that can make pancakes in mins!! I understand now why the menu is mostly beverages! Hate to leave a review like this...hopefully the brutal honesty is appreciated & issues like this can be avoided for any future customers. Best of luck read more

Inexperienced staff makes this a two star review. Very inconsistent lately. Last week did a door dash delivery and my coffees were not with the order. When door dash tried to get in touch w the Tottenville location, they were not amenable to accepting the order so had to take a refund. It was one of the main items in my order! Now today at Richmondtown location and it's tough. Staff just not able to handle the orders. Slow, people cancelling because they can't wait, and they seem overwhelmed. Additionally, want to order lentil soup and they are telling me it's extremely spicy. Okay never mind on that. As I waited for my order I sat through issue after issue and more customers cancelling a lentil soup order. When another customer cancelled the soup due to this feedback she asked how the pulled pork was - it's okay... Not an overwhelming review of food from staff. It's disappointing because I do love this place but losing faith. Btw they were nice and working hard just did not seem well trained. read more

We found this great coffee shop last week when visiting the area. We rode the Staten Island Railroad all the way to the end and to Tottenville. My Yelp app recommended Main Street Coffee so we thought we would give it a try. My wife was very pleased with her Iced Vanilla Latte and my hot latte was perfect. The staff is very friendly and they had the time to chat with us. Good luck and much success. We will drop in again when we return to NYC. read more

I love Main St coffee! They have a nice selection of different blends of coffee and lots of delicious sweets baked on premises. Some of my favorites are their Nutella cookie, oatmeal cookie, and the Hipster toast. Their service is super fast and always friendly. The place itself is very cozy. I really love stopping in. Waffle was good..Mozz sticks just frozen traditional . Staff unfriendly and cold. Even on phone replied by saying "yup" Asked for our vaccinations which we had on phones and counter girl asked if we had both shots . If they had any knowledge of being vaccinated at all they would know that you can't have a digital version of it unless you were fully vaccinated. Was charged for a bottle of water when asked for a cup of water but then served a warm cup of tap water anyway. This was for new richmondtown location . Hope they improve their staff . read more

Super disappointed in this place. Not only is the coffee only okay, but the barista was not wearing a mask, nor was he wearing gloves. Also about 8 people were in this tiny establishment waiting to get coffee (so it's impossible to social distance), 5of whom were not wearing masks, he blasted his heavy metal music the entire time and I had to yell to my friend standing next to me. I am posting this review as a hope to help this restaurant improve and not to discourage anyone else from going. That being said this was my experience... The order consisted of a Macchiato, Cappuccino, Waffle and Avocado toast. The macchiato was not ordered to be iced but came out that way anyway and was more of a latte or iced capp rather than what was ordered. The waffle had so much butter it had to be turned over for it to drip off onto the plate. The toast came with hot sauce on it eventhough that was not on the menu board. I was extremely taken back when one of the 3 women behind the counter started arguing with me on how the toast was made. I gently pointed out that the menu board did not specify it had hot sauce on it. They did remake the toast although we had to wait a very long time for the reorder. Server did apologize for the wait. An espresso was ordered right before leaving that was not drinkable. Although I had read good things about this place and drove over 20 mins to get there, for a place specializing in coffee I was disappointed. read more

Just went in to buy coffee beans and when i pressed "no tip" after all the barista did was spin the ipad around her demeanor immediately went indifferent lol she literally didnt look at me again or say have a nice day, what one normally does when they're serving a customer. Actually hilarious i was already regretting coming here because the customer service always sucks but i wanted to come in and give it a last chance. This place just sucks. There is no consistency with anything they make so the quality of your food just depends on who makes it. I get the same smoothie all the time, sometimes it's all milk when other times it actually has stuff in it. I'm tired of throwing away my money here. Recently I ordered while at work, I got there about 10 minutes later and the person who took my order on the phone had forgotten to make my order. Don't waste your money here. So....me & my wife discovered this place two months ago. So so happy, met the husband & wife owners very nice, great vibe, great conversation real good coffee & tasty menu items. I returned today with my son excited to share my experience with him and to once again have an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. We walk in to a line of people, not an issue, actually was happy for them. But waiting 15 minutes and neither of the women behind the counter raise their heads up, acknowledge or greet anyone that was waiting (no smile, no communication). We ordered our breakfast toast and waited a bit to receive them (no problem) avocado toast with egg & bacon. Bread was sliced 3 inches thick avocado was over peppery, egg was rock hard and cold & no bacon. I'm sharing this in hopes that the owners catch on to these hiccups sooner than later. I will definitely give them another chance. I hope that they can hold on to the happy uplifting vibe and tasty food we experienced first time around. Wish you luck. read more
