    Poop on wall

Has been a terrible experience. at first they offered us to a room that was a view to the bay and that you had to making it have seagull activity and seagull poop. Knee was a king size bed in the new room. We have now to standard size beds with a pool view. This morning they had message us saying our check was not on which we had requested and was approved for a late checkout at 4 PM and now they had locked us out of our room receiving our key cards but also on the resort restaurants not that good on that would have to wait for a long time at one of the restaurants took them over 50 minutes to bring out fries and fried calamari ridiculous. And pool food was good and a little bit of a long wait, which is normal.

I need to be brutally honest about this hotel. I have traveled nearly a million miles and stayed in many hotels all over the world. Issues happen at hotels all of the time. What I have found over the years. When something happens I have found hotel staffs to be the most accommodating and helpful people in the hospitality industry. Hotel workers are the unsung hero's of the industry. I booked my room at the Wyndham baymont in Glenview Illinois from May 31-June 9 with the plan of extending at least 10 additional days. The reason for this trip my closing on my hose was delayed. This particular hotel seemed like a great fit. When I arrived on May 31. The elevator was broken. I told the guy at the front desk I was recovering from a major car accident. I explained I needed a comfortable room for my stay. Especially since it could be up to 20 days. He was kind and helped me carry my bag up to my room. He also promised to get me a room on the first floor tomorrow. The next day they didn't have a room available. I was promised Monday am I would have a first floor room. As a matter of a fact they said the room would be room 107. To my surprise the room was not available. I said I wouldn't be back till late. Monday evening I arrived at the hotel. They said room 107 was not cleaned. I was given room 123. The elevator still wasn't working. I had to deal with getting everything to my new room. The hotel attendant was nice. He was a young kid. This was his first job. I unpacked my bags and ate dinner. A little after 11pm I started getting ready for bed. When I opened up the sheets. I saw multiple blood stains all over the sheets. I was absolutely disgusted. I took pics and videos. I showed it to the girl at the front desk. She gave me a new set of sheets and a garbage bag to put the blood stained sheets in a bag. I was utterly mortified that she didn't offer me any help or assistance. The following morning I went to the front desk. I spoke with David. I told him what happened. He was incredibly rude and abrasive. I was extremely calm. This was when Mike the manager said they have a three step process. Both David and Mike basically accused me of lying. This put me in a very incredibly uncomfortable position. I stayed calm. I explained the last few days were frustrating between the broken elevator and it taking a very long time to switch my room. I said I'm recovering from a bad car accident and I was recovering from serious injuries. This is where Mike said he will refund my entire stay. This is where David said I look perfectly fine. I was in shock. Both David and Mike doubled down with saying I made this up. I didn't want to deal with packing up again then having to find another hotel. I told Mike why don't you comp me a night because I'm going to extend. He doubled down that there was no way his staff was responsible. Dry Blood doesn't magically appear. The following day I said to David I would like to speak with Mike about the bloody sheets incident. Mike never responded. After three days and multiple times requesting to speak with Mike I figured I would call customer service. I told customer service and they were appalled by my experience. They asked me what I wanted. I said I felt I should be comped three nights. Considering the experience I didn't think that was unreasonable. On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th I told David I still haven't heard back from Mike. I felt I was poorly compensated for my issues. On Monday the 9th i went to the front desk and wanted to speak with Mike. David told me tonight is comped and I am banned from ever coming to the hotel again. I was shocked. I then said I wanted to speak with Mike. David was extremely rude. I had to get personal and tell him I was on blood thinners. He obliged to come to my room and I showed him my medication. I needed to reiterate I didn't put the blood on the sheets. I said I have a blood disorder. If I cut myself I would bleed profusely because of my medication. There was still zero accountability for the bloody sheets. Shortly after speaking with David. I managed to speak with Mike. We went into a private room to discuss the issue. He asked me why did I call corporate. I said it was frustration that he felt I planted the blood on the sheets. I said that was extremely offensive. He then said he was a very busy guy. Then he made sure to imply there would be zero repercussions for my complaint, and because I complained he was banning me from the hotel. All of this rubbed me the wrong way. The arrogance of Mike was astonishing. What I realized from my 10 days at this hotel. This hotel is a factory pushing people in and out

No switch for the fan just the light and no they don't work together

What a dump..... Asked to speak to a manager multiple times I was told the manager wasn't there. I left my name and number and no return phone call. I was told they will check me out of the room and they never did I had to do it manually. The bathtub had cigarette burns on it. The lights had patches that were never painted over, the fan in the bathroom was broken, so with the humidity I couldn't breath and had a hard time showering. The door to the room doesn't lock. And the bed is curled up at the corner. Maid service is only available with 24 hr advance notice. They failed to tell the staff I had a late checkout but they still tried to enter my room twice.

Nope, nope, nope. The first room we were given had a broken AC unit with smashed buttons. We called the front desk to let them know and we're promptly asked if we had "tried unplugging it then plugging it back in." We aren't maintenance and don't want to mess with anything, plus that isn't our job, so no. We were told someone would come and take a look. 30 minutes later the front desk calls us to say nobody is on site to fix it so we are being moved a couple of rooms down to 309. EVERYTHING was filthy. I actually wiped the furniture down in a desperate attempt to get some of the dust off. But it covered the vents, lightbulbs, behind the TV, etc. This place hasn't been cleaned in years. The shower curtain was ripped to shreds on top and whatever was ripped off the back of the bathroom door just stayed there, hanging out. The toilet paper is .05 ply so bring your own unless you want a surprise poke while wiping. Nobody came to clean/give us towels/take out the trash once during the five day stay. I understand being understaffed, and I don't expect a sparkling room with towel swans and champagne, but for the nightly price I do expect basics such as cleanliness. Every guest was leaving their trash and dirty towels in the hallway, because nobody was coming to get them. I did see a cleaner but I don't know what rooms she was cleaning? Unless only the empty ones get cleaned. The breakfast bar was a waffle maker, apples, and I think some cereal. There was hardy ever anyone at the desk and my interactions with staff were unpleasant. The blonde woman was particularly condescending and dismissive. Finally, the NOISE. I knew it would be a little noisy given the reviews and location but wow, it's like you're sleeping on the highway. It's a great location for the nearby restaurants and shopping spots but that's it. I wouldn't recommend you stay here. I know I won't be staying again.

I have stayed at this location multiple times over the past 10 years, always when I visit the area from out of town. I like the location, the staff is always great, rooms comfortable, and the breakfast is a nice touch to start the day. I stayed there for 4 nights, while visiting family, starting 7/8. I'm the type of person who pretty much looks for a hotel where I can sleep, not hang out all day, so I usually overlook smaller issues there, like elevators not working, room keys failing multiple times, broken lights, etc. The first couple of mornings when I woke up in my room and was itchy, I dismissed it and thought I had mosquito bites. That location gets humid in the summer and there are bugs outdoors. The 3rd morning I woke up, I noticed that I had about 20 bites in areas of my body that are always covered by my pants, except for when I shower, or am in bed. When I pulled back the blankets, there were a bunch of black specks on the sheet, which I took pictures of. I left for the day and quietly mentioned the issue to the front desk staff on my way back in that evening. Told him I wasn't looking for anything, but I wanted to let him know that someone might want to check it out after I left. As usual, the front desk person was super kind, and he also gave me the manager's name and contact info and encouraged me to reach out to the manager directly. I was hesitant to do that, but after I got back home and my husband noticed the insane number of bites all over my body, mostly on my lower stomach, upper thighs...again, covered areas unless I'm naked (sleeping, shower), he highly suggested that also mentioned that I reach out to the manager, with pictures. I'm generally not one to write a poor review, but I did reach out to the manager after I got home on 7/12, and he didn't even have the decency to respond to me. After being bitten up that bad, woken up by something crawling on my butt on Thursday night, and seeing all the black specks on the sheets, it seems the professional thing to do would be to at least acknowledge the guest's complaint, not completely ignore them. Unfortunately, after my last visit, this will be my last stay here and any other of the Wyndham hotels.

Wow.. just wow. I checked in late, I had traveled quite a ways and was very i'll; otherwise it would have left. chicken was fine, but when I got up to the third floor there was duct tape on the carpet where it meets the ceramic tiles rather than having thresholds down, it was just duct taped. When I got to my room the lights on the headboard and the light in the corner of work. I moved the night stands to see if they were plugged in and there was so much dust and cry dirty Q-tips hair clips all sorts of gross stuff behind the nightstands. on the toiletry tray there was a pubic hair. The foot rest and the shower curtain both look like it had been chewed by rodents. The bathroom light and I think the fan turned on by Moshe which was really be because it was all and clinky and loud let alone the filters for the air came out of the sprayer and the intake in the bathroom were absolutely filthy. I have a houseful and it was just gross to think I was even breathing the air.

A pleasant dusting of dust; available throughout.

Just sleep in your car, man. This place is a complete DUMP. OMG. I stayed here prior to a long drive the next day. a MESS! This is totally the kind of MOTEL I imagine escorts from Backpage come to to turn tricks; the kind of motel drug addicts come to to get high and do whatever else it is they do once high. It's GROSS! GROSSSSS!!!!! Trust. Me. Location - it's out of the way, but in Chicago, that's never a bad thing. About 3 miles from the 94. It's located in a plaza that includes numerous small restaurant, a nail salon, and some other businesses. Not too far from the mall or civilization. Price - I think I spent like $80 total. I should've known better, but the numerous glowing reviews on Hotels.com misled me to thinking this was a cool hotel. LIES. DAMNED LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Issues- First thing's first: the place smells like one big ash tray, with cheap Dollar Tree car air fresher sprayed on top of that smell. You'll literally need to shower just from walking through the corridors of this dreadful place. Wyndham are y'all serious? Y'all can't be serious. Can't be! Next - I get to the room. I open the door and before I set one foot down over the other I am SLAMMED by the smell of cigarette smoke. Now mind you, I was told this was a non-smoking room. I am immediately disgusted, but I knew I had part 1 of a long drive ahead of me in the morning, so I walked on in. Next - I began the usual inspection. There was dust everywhere. The floor looked unkempt, the bed cover was SOILED in numerous spots. I peeled it off and laid towels down on the bed. I went to shower and found hairs and some kind of crumbs on the shower floor. And guess what? - cigarette burns on the basin of the tub. OMFG. I laid another of the towels down inside the shower, because I didn't think it'd be the kind of place you need shower slippers for. OMG. It gets worse. The toilet wouldn't flush. After the first flush it ran with a hiss ALL NIGHT. There was slimy guck coming out of the overflow area of the sink. I almost threw up. Swear. Again, it gets worse. There was a nasty wet looking smudge on the night stand by the bed. Turned out to be what I guess was purple lipstick. WTF bro. WTF. Wyndham - I need some answers, pronto! I opened up the window (which was facing a lovely highway full of cars) to air the place out, as I feared my clothes and hair would stink of DISGUSTING cigarette smoke. I left for a few hours and came back, and you can guess it, it was still funky af in there. OMG Wyndham y'all are buggin tf out for this. I would sell this property if I was y'all. You cannot slap a new sink and some flooring in a motel 6 and try to push it off as some kind of quality place to stay. You HAVE TO hire housekeeping, too. I refuse to believe this place has a housekeeping staff. I'm hitting the road right now. I'll come back with more commentary when I get to my first rest stop. Unbelievable. Wyndham this is criminal of you! THIS IS NOT A FAMILY PLACE, unless you're Al Bundy and his family.

LIVE AND DEAD BEES WITH STINKBUGS

I stayed at the Marriot Suites at Deerfield, just 30-75 minutes from Chicago (depending on traffic), from 08/24/2021-08/29/2021. We checked in late Tuesday night, the 24th, and went to straight to bed. To our unpleasant surprise, we woke up to FOUR LIVE bees buzzing around our bedroom, along with 1 huge stinkbug. I brought this issue up to the front staff immediately, and was told they were working on getting us a new room, and they apologized. They told us "a window was probably left open", and there was likely no infestation... A cleaning staff came by and saw all windows were sealed, and after all live bugs that were identified were killed, we continued to see more live bees buzzing around the room (see videos and photos attached). Therefore, this was not the result of someone leaving a window open, which was SEALED SHUT and COULD NOT be opened anyway!!! We were switched to a new room. I asked for a 1 night room comp, which they stated they would take care of.... However, because I booked through Expedia, I was not entitled to a direct refund, and would need to call Expedia and have them ask for a refund... I obliged, and Expedia had a three-way call, only to find our Marriott denied the entire event and told me they would not compensate me for a single night, as I was undeserving of such an act... Instead they would waive a 75$ pet fee...... So, half a night's compensation for having live bees and bugs buzzing around our heads... Nice job Marriott! Not stingy at all! You guys are doing great! Additionally, My room was NEVER cleaned. I stayed from 08/24-08/29, and NOT ONCE was my room cleaned by any staff. We ran out of towels, coffee, cups, toiletries... All tiny measly trash cans were stuffed to the brim, and no one would clean our room when requested (see pictures and videos). To top it all off, I was CHARGED the pet fee of 75$, and found out 5 days after my stay that it charged to my card... I had to again request this charge be refunded back to my card, and to this day, I still am charged the pet fee. AWFUL AWFUL experience, and will not be staying at a Marriott again! Overpriced and god awful customer service.

    So disappointed

Worst place to stay never come here !!!!!! Rooms are dirty, we found spiders , bathtub has a crack, mud is all over the sheets, sheets has holes WORST PLACE IVE EVER WENT TO !!!

I definitely do not wanna give a 5 star reading to the Indian woman at the front because she was condescending and rude to me and my family. I had come down and waited to talk to her in line. A black man cut me in line, she saw, and she did not say anything about it. I told her that I wanted to get toothpaste, and she told me I had to wait even though I was in line to speak first. This man spoke rudely to my underage son, who is just a child. He picked up the phone and she told him to stop and put the customer who was in front, also told him to stop in a rude way to stop picking up the phone and calling the front desk. I was in complete shock, so I did not realize what was going on and why he was talking to my son in that manner. We buy even more so than the rude customer. The man in front of me I was appalled that the woman at the front desk was not being professional and did not say anything to that man, because I, as a mother, of course, was in shock. She needs to stick up for her patrons. That was at the hotel line. Now, I've booked four different rooms for our family members and we were there for multiple days and I had asked for only six little packets of toothpaste and she practically screamed in shock at how many that was. Even though we were there for multiple days and had multiple rooms. I only needed to get through that morning before I could go to the store to buy more toothpaste. The hotel rooms themselves are pretty good, because they have separate rooms and a full kitchen. But I will never stay here again because of that rude woman. She doesn't care about her customers OBVIOUSLY and screamed about needing "so much" toothpaste when we were 5 families staying here over the course of multiple days. Absolutely ridiculous.

Along with it being lower in cost for Hilton Honors members as I am currently a silver status member, I loved that it is located nearby a plethora of businesses and restaurants within Skokie itself. It was those things that won me over and led me into booking with Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-North Shore/Skokie. My experience with the enthusiastic receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and giving me my room key. And for your information check-in starts at 3:00pm and ends at 12:00am! And check-out ends at 12:00pm! After locating and entering my room, I said to myself "This is gorgeous!" once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! Looking outside of the window, I had an overview of Old Orchard Rd, and Edens Expressway (I-94), which is accessible to Hampton Inn & Suites. Inside the shower, there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with its spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, a power adapter with USB and AC plugin, and several lamps which add a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn & Suites, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. And I must say that I was pleased to see the number of dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, trx straps, a decent selection of workout machines, and a peloton fitness bike which totally charmed me out of my panties once I spotted it. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served Monday-Friday from 6:30am - 10:00am, and Saturday-Sunday from 6:00am - 10:00am. If you are visiting Skokie, the Hampton Inn & Suites sits not only within an acceptable walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and businesses, but the Holocaust Museum, and Westfield Old Orchard, formerly Old Orchard Shopping Center. I would surely book with Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-North Shore/Skokie again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in Skokie. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

This hotel has been amazing, the kids love the pool (3 ft to 5 ft), wheelchair access if you can transfer, but no hot tub. The kids loved the courtyard balcony and the beds are comfy after a long day. Also loved that we can catch a quick metra train with the N Glen station being only 2 mile away we drove and parked. The restaurant that shares the parking lot with this hotel North Branch is amazing!!! All in all we will be back from the service to the accommodation this is a great hotel!

Hotel is dated, and kind of grubby. Hallways are not air-conditioned. So they are hot and muggy. Air-conditioning leaves either freezing or hot. No in between. The refrigerator in your room does not stay on. You have to press the button inside that lets you refrigerate for two hour intervals. So if you wanna keep something cold overnight, it's impossible. 3. Housekeeping comes every other day, but in my case they did not. I had to request services when they neglected to clean my room after 3 1/2 days. Even then, they did not replace the paper cups for coffee, drinking glasses, bag for the ice bucket, etc. They only gave me two towels, which I questioned if they were really clean. I feel like they took the towels off the floor and folded them up and put them back on the bar. When you check in, you get three of each tile, but they won't replace it that way. 4. Front desk is inattentive and will not respond to questions. 5. I don't know if it's something they launder the linens in, but I developed a severe allergic reaction to the bed linens and required two visits to the ER. Something is not right with this. 6. The first full day there, there was a fire alarm for an issue with one of the elevators. 7. I thought I had left behind some RX meds, but after a while realized they stole them. Since I was also missing 1 pair of blue linen pants and 2 pair of linen shorts. All new for this trip. THIEVES 8. Points were not added to my Marriot account I can go on. But it was not really worth it.

Breakfast was included -- covered the basics, though I wish they had yogurt. One thing worth knowing: the hotel sits right next to the highway, so if your room faces that side, you'll hear some traffic noise, especially early in the morning. It didn't ruin the stay but light sleepers should request a quieter side. For the price and what's included, this place genuinely delivers. Hard to find this level of comfort under $100 in the Chicago suburbs. Would stay again.

There are so many things that we liked about this newly renovated property. The beds were comfortable and bed linens were good quality and fresh. I loved the new dressers and the handy shoe cubbies. The new flatscreen TV was great, and the remote control worked well. The lamps were easy to to use. There were plenty of places to plug in chargers for phones and laptops. The blinds were excellent! You could lower one blind to darken the room, and another to act as a privacy screen, and still let in natural light. The bathroom was small, but freshly renovated and well-lit. The bath products and towels were quite nice. Water pressure was good. Breakfast here is much better than the normal fare. Fresh scrambled eggs ready every morning...not the frozen and reheated Cysco eggs. Fresh waffles. Yogurt bar. Cereal. Toast, bagels and muffins. Fresh fruits. The coffee was good. And- breakfast is served until 10 AM for those of us on a different time zone. I loved that. We will definitely be booking this hotel again. I have stayed at several properties in this location, and this Best Western Plus is the winner.

3/5 stars. The…read morelocation was the best part as it was central and close to all of our business meetings some were only like 3 miles way. As many pointed out the hotel is very dated and most of it is run down and beat up. The pool is rather small and even bit hard to even find, which is weird because why have a small pool thats not that easy to find in the first place? The surrounding area is like a forest and a nature preserve looking pond. People in our group saw all kinds of random forest animals when they went back there. Everyone at the front desk were nice and professional and genuinely sincere in helping me and my groups issues get resolved, except for the front desk manager. I forgot her name she is a Latina women with glasses. She was not as friendly and kind as the rest of her front desk team. She was by far the worst one working at the front desk by far. You had to wonder how the hell is she even the front desk manager??? She basically had me repeat all of the long list of issues that we had that the other front desk team members already were in the process of resolving for me causing me further nuisance. She basically did not believe what my story was for some reason and wanted me to prove to her that I was not lying. Like WTF? I was in town for business meetings why would I make up a BS story to try to bother the front desk in the first place? As a Gold HH you get like $18 a day credit so you can use that for food/beverage or the small convenience store behind the front desk. Most of the people in my group used the $18 on waters, oj bottles, chips, gum etc. So the $18 a day credit was pretty cool until like day 3 they ran out of stuff and did not restock anything until our trip was over. I saw others complain about cars getting broken into and car parts getting stolen in the parking lot, I fortunately did not have this problem or felt any concern/danger for that and the parking lot areas, but a few of the days some teenagers came over to hang out at the hotel and tried to swim and hang out in the lobby and other areas of the hotel. I'm not sure if they were actual hotel guests or just some teenagers trying to use the hotel as a hang out spot or what was going on? It would have been nice if security kicked those teenagers out for being loud and a nuisance but it seemed like there was no security really working at all from what I saw? Just a janitor/grounds keeper looking people who were gone once their shifts ended. The coolest part of my stay was probably my room as it had a larger deep soaking jacuzzi tub in it and the jets actually worked rather well like a real jacuzzi. I think had my room not have that I'd probably give this place only 1 or 2 stars then. I would not stay here again unless it was like a really good reason to like our meetings were actually happening in their banquet rooms or something.

I had to double check that I was at the right address because when I arrived it was dark and the hotel was somewhat secluded. I have family that lives in Chicago that we had dinner in the hotel dining room and it was a little eerie because we were the only ones there. I had French Onion soup that was really good but we could not help but to continually note that there was a lack of people around. This is definitely an older Hilton property and does not look like it has seen any renovations in the last 15-20 years. Not that it looked bad but it definitely did not give the "modern hotel" vibe. The phone in the room was very old and the same model phone that was on my desk when I started my first job pre-2000. The room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly. Overall if you are looking for the modern Hilton experience, this ain't it. If you are looking for a decent place to stay this will do.

The Doubletree is also in a prime and convenient location for the local extended family who are all in the North Shore area. I was pretty impressed with what I saw of the venue and the quality of the services and this review only addresses the hotel as a wedding events venue. The tea ceremony was held in one of their ground floor meeting rooms and the wedding reception was held in the scenic Monaco ballroom on the top floor, which is the 12th floor. The ballroom was elegant and quite nice and airy with floor to ceiling windows and panoramic views of the surrounding area. We all enjoyed the sunset and the mellow transition from day to night during the course of the festive evening. For 100 guests, the reception area outside of the ballroom was perfect with an airy feel, good spacing for mingling and passing of hors d'oeuvres, and a good, efficient, and competent open bar service. The hotel provided a brunch during the tea ceremony and it was a gluten free brunch buffet menu due to some guests' dietary requirements. The room setting for the brunch was also classy and elegant. The hotel kitchen also prepared the wedding reception dinner which included a filet mignon and grilled salmon combination as the main entrees for everyone. There were also a few kids' meals. The hors d'oeuvres were all excellent and generously sized and a food highlight. I personally didn't enjoy the gluten free brunch items as much, but they were still ok as mid-morning light touch items. The dinner entrees were a-ok, but not tip-top great I would say. Also, for whatever reason, a dinner prep miscount occurred, and one person at our table awkwardly didn't receive his dinner entrees until about 20 minutes after everyone else. Overall, I'll go with a 4 star rating for the experience. The physical venue is a 5 star rating given the scenic ballroom, their convenient and ample parking capacity, and excellent open bar and hors d'oeuvres service. The brunch and dinner we had was good and adequate but brought the overall wedding venue rating to a 4 in my opinion. Overall, still a quite nice job by the Doubletree and thank you for your contributions to a wonderful day here.

We stay in the Chicagoland area frequently and enjoy exploring different neighborhoods and suburbs,…read moreso I was hoping this hotel's proximity to a nicer mall would be reflected in the overall experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The hotel feels dated, and the lobby had a musty smell upon arrival. Our room was fairly clean, but it was quite small, especially the bathroom. The biggest disappointment was the pool area. It appeared dirty and neglected. There was visible dirt at the bottom of the pool, and the outdoor area had cigarette butts and champagne bottle caps scattered around. The indoor section contained deflated pool floats. The condition of the pool area also raised concerns about overall maintenance. Seeing dirt in the pool and trash left around the deck made me question how closely other aspects of pool upkeep, such as water testing and chemical monitoring, are being managed. I also noticed a safety concern: the pool deck had been resurfaced, but in the process, the depth markings in the outdoor portion of the pool were covered up. The outdoor part of the pool is deeper than most hotel pools, which makes it even more concerning that the depth markers appeared to have been covered during resurfacing. Additionally, the door to the pool area was not locked. One smaller but frustrating issue was the room amenities. Our reservation was for four guests, yet the room was stocked with only three sets of towels. At check-in, we were also given only three cookies. If cookies are intended to be a welcome perk, it would be nice if every registered guest received one. Overall, while the room itself was reasonably clean, the dated facilities, neglected pool area, and lack of attention to details made this stay disappointing. We would not stay here again.
