I lived in New Orleans for a few years and this place definitely brings NOLA to ATL. I loved it. Will definitely be going back.

Amazing food, and the couple who own the place are so incredibly kind. 10/10 experience, my husband and I will definitely be returning

If you're in Marietta and craving some truly divine soul food, you have to stop by The Manna House…read more I ordered the catfish with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, and cornbread, and let me just say, this meal was worth every extra minute it took to get off I-75. Let's start with the catfish: perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside, and seasoned like somebody's grandma whispered the recipe in the chef's ear. Honestly, it was so good I almost asked for another plate just in case I missed something the first time. This is a 10/10, no notes kind of dish. Now, the collard greens? Whew! These greens deserve their own standing ovation. They were hands-down the best I've ever had--an 11/10, slap-yo-mama, text-everyone-you-know level of good. Perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of smokiness, and with a flavor that'll make you question every other batch of collards you've ever eaten. The mac 'n cheese was solid--cheesy and definitely satisfying. The cornbread? Sweet, moist, and the perfect sidekick to all the rich flavors on the plate. Everything was served hot and fresh, and the service was as warm as the food. The only catch (besides that incredible catfish)? It's a bit of a drive from the highway, so plan accordingly if you're popping in for lunch. But trust me, The Manna House is worth every minute of the detour. Just go ahead and clear your schedule--you'll want to savor every bite.

Pappadeaux on Windy Hill is one of those places I've been to enough times to know exactly what I…read morelike. I love stopping in for Happy Hour when I can. It's a great way to grab a drink and a few bites without committing to a full dinner, and the bar area usually has a good after-work energy. As far as the food, I have several favorites. The Seafood Gumbo is always a good start, and the Seafood Fondeaux is rich, cheesy, and perfect for sharing. For entrées, the Redfish Pontchartrain and Fried Catfish are both solid choices. The Cobb Salad is another good option when I want something a little lighter. And I almost always get the Strawberry Lemonade. One important note if you don't eat pork: stay away from the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo and the Dirty Rice because both contain pork. I always appreciate knowing things like that ahead of time. The food is consistently flavorful and portions are generous, which is probably why this location stays so busy. Parking is technically ample because the lot is large, but don't let that fool you. After work and on weekends, this place can be packed. Give yourself extra time to circle the lot and find a space, and if you're coming during peak hours, be prepared for a wait. The atmosphere is lively and casual with that familiar Pappadeaux New Orleans-inspired feel. It's definitely not the place I'd choose if I wanted a quiet dinner, but for seafood, drinks, and a fun crowd, it works. I keep coming back because I know what I like, the food is dependable, and Happy Hour is always a good idea here.

I sat at the bar if you're over 21+ and by yourself or with one person the bar is your best bet. Anyways let's get into the food. Seafood was amazing and I'm a hard critic I'm from Baltimore. The customer service was top tier, everyone was sweet and very attentive even at the bar. To drink I got the perfect patron margarita - frozen 100/10 it was so good and strong. I got the medium I promise you only need one. My Food I ordered crab and spinach dip 9/10..very good I didn't care for the crostini's that comes with it regular crackers or bread is better. But the dip is delicious wish it had a lil more crab meat tho!! Entree is ordered the Salmon Alexander w/dirty rice and a Caesar salad. Dessert I ordered the cheesecake so good!! I will be back They are running a $49/pp special right now. Should go check them out if you're interested!!
