I honestly couldn't tell you if the food is good or not. I've tried ordering takeout 3 times from this place and 3 times some woman behind the counter is arguing with a customer. Each time I leave frustrated, because the woman behind the counter just yells and yells and yells. I'm sure it's okay food, but sadly, it doesn't look like I'll ever find out. Service: I called in an order to pick up based on the menu on uber eats. As with many restaurants the prices on uber eats were different (increased) than the actual prices in person. I asked so many questions over the phone and the lady was friendly and patient answering each question even when I repeated the question. Food: I ordered the crab legs with 10 shrimp, garlic pasta, 1 lb Turkey necks, a side of eggs, corn, and potatoes. The Cajun butter with the crab and shrimp is lick your fingers delicious. I ordered extra butter on the side but it wasn't needed. The butter sauce in the boil was plenty. Everything ordered was well seasoned and well portioned. My only critique is that the shrimp was slightly over cooked and almost became rubbery and the crab meat was a little more salty than sweet. Sitting in here now confused as to why the girl behind the counter is so disengaged. I stood there for 3 minutes before she even looked up from her phone. There is only one table in the restaurant and it's nasty and sticky (with a cleaning company flier on it, ironically). There is loud vulgar music playing on the tv... I ordered an oyster po boy, asking her how it is and she just says "I don't know... I don't eat them..." while continuing to surf through her phone. Really disappointed in the flavor of crawfish. Have had better experiences in the past but this was different. Husband requested spicy and it was more on mild side. Crawfish in fact did not catch flavor at all. Seemed to be watered down and there was lots of that in the bag. Purchased about 7 lbs, mostly claws. Crawfish size was pretty large. Honestly taste as if they'd been frozen and reheated. Service was great. Turkey necks were also lacking flavor and tenderness. Not worth the $10.99 paid per pound for either. read more

Let me first start with saying I have been buying from this place since Lee and his family owned it. And instead of driving to the south side of town to purchase my crawfish from Old Nat'l Seafood. We thought we would give this mgmt a chance. We purchased 10lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of turkey necks on Saturday and this is what our crawfish looked like. When I tell you we were highly disappointed. We could not believe they decided not to purge their crawfish and sell this to their customers. We contacted the store and was told someone would reach out and we never heard back from anyone. Nothing special. Ordered bogo on ubereats had the whiting which had A LOT of bones. Like a lot for it to be boneless. A few bones are to be expected but this was like someone didn't debone the fish. I've wanted to try some of their other menu items but I love the crab and shrimp boil so much (#74), I just end up getting that every time. We have to get our fix at least once a week. Happy to report that this place is truly under new management. No more angry Asian man yelling at the customers for asking questions. No more overwhelming 'fresh' seafood smells. No more long wait times. They actually answer the phone for call in orders and the staff is pleasant and pretty professional. They still don't really allow for substitutions - even with an upcharge - so I always wind up with the fried or grilled fish Poboy with a side of fries, fries and fries. As in - I don't eat their, slaw - so they substitute more fries and I don't really care for hushpuppies, so they substitute more fries. The last time I was there - the container was filled to brim with fries AND they gave me a small 'burger container' filled with fries too. Lol. I always try to remember, now, to tell them to please just give me the regular sized portion of fries and I'm fine with paying full price. It's still 'hood' so be prepared to greet the dudes outside 'commenting' at all the ladies who venture near and don't be shocked if you smell a little bit 'herbal refreshments' on your way to the door. Don't get me wrong - I don't feel 'unsafe' - just a note for people who don't care for hood-type spots. I will never order anything from this establishment again. I ordered through Grub Hub and an item was missing. I called regarding the item and was asked if I wanted to come pick it up. Why would I do that when I pad a delivery fee? Plus I left the driver a 20% tip? After going back and forth with the person on the phone, she hung up on me. As I was on my way to the restaurant, I called Grub Hub who issued me a refund for the missing item as well as the 20% tip I left for the driver. We called the store and they said bring everything back....we got there with the food and receipt, they said we were lying and said we ate the crab legs and just wanted more.. we were appalled that they would say this to our face...if we could afford 145.00 worth of seafood why would we steal it. They have changed ownership and went up on their prices majorly. The small shrimp boil that was 14.99 is now 19.99 and the boil for 2 that was 27.99 is now 38.99. My daughter ordered first and got fried food, grilled shrimp and wings as well. I ordered after her, but got a boil and fried food. The food wasn't ready together. My fried food came out first and had to wait quite some time to get the boils still no grilled shrimp or wings... finally got everything. The boil isn't a boil anymore it has a little butter sauce and sprinkled seasoning on top. The fried Whiting and fried shrimp lacked flavor. The grilled shrimp tasted good. Haven't actually tasted boil yet, but looks just average. Most likely will move my business back to juicy crab or somewhere else. read more
