Christmas decor at Bayou Crawfish restaurant in Many, La.

I called in order for my dinner after work and picked Broccoli and cheese soup and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. Both extremely disappointing. The broccoli cheese soup was so salty that it was in edible and I had to throw it away. And while sitting in a hotel room at 9 o'clock at night, that says a lot because there were no other food options readily available. The chicken on the Caesar salad was either grilled or fried to such a degree that it was dry and tough. The only highlight here what is the surprisingly light yeast rolls that they tucked in to my to go bag. They were sinfully not keto but light fluffy with a buttery almost honey glaze on top.

I wasn't impressed with my first visit but I'm always willing to give a second chance. My second visit was no better. With the exception of my 10 year old (he loved his fried catfish), no one at our table loved it. The crab cake appetizer wasn't edible. I can only describe it as spoiled seafood in a bed of terrible étouffée taste. The chicken on our plates were too thick and over cooked. The seasoning was heavy on salt. Mashed potatoes tasted like box instant potatoes. The two stars are for the service only, both times we had a very friendly and attentive server.

Absolutely the worst crawfish I have ever had. Not clean and over cooked. I would not even feed the left overs to the catfish......

Not much of a fan of this place. Food usually has no flavor and 50% of the few times I've eaten here, the service was awful.

This place is truly a hidden gem in Leesville! My family of four ordered:…read more * Chicken fried steak with fries, red beans, and a fried pistolette * Gumbo with potato salad and a fried pistolette * Grilled pork chop dinner with a side salad and steamed vegetables * Kids' chicken tender meal When my side salad arrived, the lettuce wasn't up to my standards, so I sent it back. The manager came over right away to ask what the issue was. To me, it was obvious--the lettuce had soggy, brown pieces--but I simply explained that I'm very picky about lettuce. She told me it was from a fresh bag that had just been opened, but I decided to switch my side to the rice and gravy instead. I'm glad I did! The rice and gravy was delicious. The gravy was rich, dark brown, thick, and coated the rice perfectly. The steamed vegetables were the only disappointment, as they seemed like they had been microwaved. However, the grilled pork chop, although thin, was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, staying surprisingly juicy. The chicken fried steak was excellent, with crispy fries alongside it. The red beans were decent but nothing particularly memorable. The gumbo was very good, and the potato salad paired with it perfectly. The kids' chicken tenders were outstanding--juicy, well-seasoned, and fried to perfection while still staying moist inside. Overall, this is definitely a restaurant I'd return to. The staff handled my concern professionally, the service was great, and most of the food was excellent. Next time, I'll simply skip the salad.

You're not a true Louisianan if you don't crave this cuisine. And sometimes other places that offer it make it too pricey or too spicy or too over-done. Not here! 'Boy howdy,' did this spot get it right & sail the flavor boat around the world without stopping!! Quick & friendly service. Lots of options with a la cart goodness. Seasoning that was JUST RIGHT!! Heat and warmth lasted throughout the meal so mine didn't get cold quickly. Sassy (which tastes buttery and salty) or Swamp (think Yum-Yum) sauces are fine selections to dredge the goods. My goodness, I forgot all about the competition across town at first bite. My crawfish claws and tails were SO fresh and tender I could easily crack it or pull out the meat and suck the umami juices. And when sucking the heads, the clear hint of lemon was there, just slap yo' mama already!! As we sat and ate, car after car after car pulled in and this was mid-afternoon, no lunch rush. People have been getting the memo that this Cajun spot is the place to go. Plus, the shrimp are YYYYUGE!!!! Only down side: not enough places to eat. Just the bar. The stools with no backs are hurting the hiney after an hour-long feeding and a thorough cleaning had to be requested as well as some paper towels/napkins at the minimal bar area to sit and chow. May I suggest more open and spaced seating arrangements could be added? T-Johnny's will be my go-to in Natchitoches in the quadruple parish area & it should be yours too--totally worth it!

Could be very good, but over seasons and oversalts everything fried. This is based on several…read morevisits.
