So glad we found Bayside Animal Lodge! We just moved to WA a few months ago and our Rotties were stressed out and hadn't been comfortable with their surroundings in the two months we'd been here already. We looked at a few doggy lodges and felt that Bayside was a nice place and the staff were playful with our dogs. Not only that, they were very clean and the facility did not smell (very important!). Also, their prices are fair compared to other places that we've seen or tried. Since we found Bayside, our pups have been visiting every 2-3 weeks and they love it every time! Even during the COVID restrictions, Bayside was there for them. Our Rotties love to socialize and going to Bayside provides the environment we want for them. The staff is warm and welcoming and we can tell how much they enjoy having our giant spoiled Rotties there. We've used their grooming services and their groomers do a great job and provide a report afterwards on their condition and needs. Love that! After doggy vamp, our pups come home like dead weights. We moved to WA a year and a half ago. Didn't realize our daughter was going to surprise us with a 6-month-old Boxer pup, however thankful Bayside was right around the corner and everything worked out perfectly! Not sure what happened .My dog was all messed up when I picked him up It hurts him to lay down and when he uses the bathroom. I used this place to board dog while I was away for work. I stressed to them that if there were any issues please contact me right away I would have dropped anything and been there asap. Instead I got a call the day before I picked him up to inform me his eyes are irritated and his ears are swollen and hair is missing from his face just so I was prepared when I picked him up. He is really bad he is definitely traumatized I feel so bad for him right now I'm so sad I took him here he is in such physical pain. I really wish I was informed sooner or if they had paid a little better attention. I will be taking him to the vet first thing in the morning. Seriously worst nightmare when leaving your dog somewhere hoping it will be taken care of. The worst part is that they knew this was going on and still just took my money and tip no problem. The only thing that could cause this to be so bad is either neglect or total greed . I cannot believe this I'm so sad for my dog and the pain he is in. Update: talked to the owner today. I guess I'm the one to blame because from his word he is no way to blame it's almost like I didn't leave a healthy dog in his care only to come back to an unhealthy dog in physical pain. Weird how the only thing that changed was him being in Robert's care. You know in life mistakes happen accidents happen. If he was genuine and told me he was sorry and offered any help he could I would totally be understanding. But to shift blame and deny is like dealing with a ten year old that has just gotten into trouble he will say or do anything just to not be the one in trouble. Part of being an adult is accepting responsibility for your mistakes learning from them and pushing forward to make yourself better. Lying and shifting blame does not accomplish this. I care for my dog very much and I hope this happens to no other person ever. My dog cries when he uses the bathroom now he is so hurt. He has no voice so I'm standing up for him the best I can. I would not deal with this person ever if you care about your pet. Do not use their services. At least when I told him the only way my dog could be this bad is from straight up not getting proper care and being neglected he couldn't deny it so I guess it was a start. But still adamant that this happened in one day the day before I picked him up which clearly something like that and being pulled infected as it was does not happen in one single night. We tried to find someone to cut our rescue dogs claws. We were told by the vet to dose her up on meds and bring her in. Unfortunately she didn't want to attempt cutting her nails. I'm so glad I found these guys. I've been taking my German Shepard here for the last 3 years because he's long haired and really difficult for me to manage to get him bathed. They do a great job with him. He always smells so great and feels so soft. They even let him sing to them while he's there. I was so lucky to have stumbled across Bayside! I have searched for months for a place to groom my two guinea pigs, Popcorn & Buttercup. Chantelle was so nice when I arrived. She hadn't groomed a cavia before but was willing to try. She did her research and was very knowledgeable about how sensitive their skin is. She treated them just like she would my dog or cat. She bathed them and trimmed their nails and even trimmed up their long hair. They did great for her! I was so pleased and will be back. It's so refreshing to meet nice employees that truly care about the animals in their care! read more

We've taken our dogs to Bayside several times. The staff have always treated our dogs well and the kennel is clean and nice. I just wish it was a little cheaper and their hours were better on Sunday (they are only open until noon which makes it hard to pick up your dog if you are returning from a trip). read more

I have used Bayside for grooming, day boarding, as well as overnight boarding, and every time I pick my dog up, she has had the time of her life. She gets so excited when we arrive to Bayside, happy whining, tail wagging and happily greeting every employee she encounters. Everyone always greets her with enthusiasm and joy! I also love that the employees play classical music at night for the animals; my Rottie, Grace just loves background noise. Employees take very careful consideration when pairing animals for outdoor playtime and always give me extensive feedback on how my girl did during her visit. They even texted me pictures at my request, during a two day visit and believe me, my girl didn't even know I was gone lol! This latest visit, she didn't even say goodbye when I dropped her off, just happily went to be with her friends. When arriving home after a visit, my girl will happily snooze on her bed for hours and it reminds me of how I feel when I've come home from some self pampering. We have been taking our dogs here for many years. The staff, many of whom have been working at Bayside for years, are fantastic. They truly take the time to get to know the needs and personality of each dog. We have a senior dog that is quite frail with some medical needs and they were wonderful with him. He came home happy and healthy after our recent long trip. Our other dog is a malamute rescue who can be mouthy and quite naughty, yet they appreciate her often strong and stubborn personality and are absolutely wonderful with her. She gets excited every time we take her! Just an all around good place for dogs and people. read more

My dog got kennel cough - bordetella after her stay there. Then all three of my dogs were infected. I called the kennel to ask. They said they had received many call of other dogs who had stayed there also. I would not recommend using them. She was vaccinated. read more

Love this place - they are genuine, friendly and really care about your pet. I would honestly drive 2/3 hours just to board here, it is so worth it to know my dog Tobi is in a safe, clean place and being loved on and cared for - like a home away from home. When boarding it runs kind of like a hotel that as long as you pick up before noon you are not charged for the day. They have options for extra play/brushing/attention and a store front too if you are interested in buying toys or treats as well as food. Honestly cannot say enough nice things about the facility and the people working.running it - great place! read more

As a Grooming Salon Owner myself I give them a great rating for the grooming as well as there boarding facility. Very clean and friendly, awesome places for the dogs and cats to play and sleep. The groomer treated the dogs as her own and you could tell the owner loved the animal more then anything. i would highly recommend Bayside to anyone. I wish i lived closer so my dogs could go and stay when we are out of town. :) read more

Robert & his staff have created a terrific environment for their 'guests' that include walks & play times. Robert knows each dog by name & provides a 'report card' of their stay with him. I have taken my dogs to Bayside since I moved here in 2014. I was very reluctant to leave my rescue pom as he was afraid of his own shadow. When I picked him up, after a 4 week stay, he pranced out like he was a little king! When he passed away the staff even sent a bereavement card signed by all, with personal comments about Peter Pom...can't get much better than that if you are looking for dog care providers! Now I take my Yorkie there and he drags me into the facility when we arrive and has to give doggie kisses to the staff when he leaves. They let him stay in the grooming room so he has entertainment and interaction all day long in addition to extra play time. Can't say enough good things about Robert and his staff. I can enjoy my travels knowing my pets are safe and happy. read more

My family LOVES Bayside! We have been taking our 9 year old black lab since she was a puppy for grooming and we recently added another lab to the family and he's been a few times now and loves it! My fur babies are always super clean, cute, happy and never want to leave when I go pick them up! We recently took our dog Sammy to board for 6 days. What a wonderful experience for us and our little dog ! The staff is friendly, thorough, very welcoming to our Sam! I love that the groomer did such an excellent job on his grooming the day of pickup! It was the best ever! We also got a report card on Sam the day we picked up. It was so complete regarding eating, walking, personality, etc. Our vet recommended them because he said they could be relied upon to give meds if needed. He was fine but I know they would administer if necessary. We have already reserved for another time we will be leaving. Even when picking up Sam he seemed pretty mellow considering he is a Maltese -Yorkie. I highly recommend this kennel and its staff. read more

We left our 3 dogs here for 10 days. Our bernese mountain dog, age 7 and in excellent health died alone in the kennel during the night when no one was there. Our cocker spaniel, age 7, with one mostly blind eye (glaucoma) had her eye punctured and received no treatment for several days. The puncture went through her cornea, a severe infection occured and today we had to have her only eye removed. She is on massive antibiotics. No one called us on the 3 numbers we left, or my daughter who was local and the kennel was told that she could take cookie to the eye specialist if necessary at any of her 3 numbers including her work number. They finally called her the day that we were coming home and informed her that Sierra had died and cookie was injured. Both dogs were vet checked with full exams earlier in the day on the day we dropped them off at this kennel. They were fine except for a little inflammation in cookies eye that was being treated. We were charged for the boarding before they would release the dogs. sierra died of gross bloat, a very painful death. We called twice while gone to check on the dogs. I will never forgive myself for leaving my beloved Pets here. my heart is shattered. there is no excuse for not getting Cookie medical help for days on end. Please don't take a chance with your dogs, go somewhere else. Karen read more

We just got home from picking up our Rat Terrier, Maxx after he spent a week with Robert and his staff. I can not believe the difference in him compared to when we have picked him up from being boarded at other kennels! We have tried numerous other places that friends recommended and claimed their dog LOVED... Maxx would come home wheezing, shaking, feverish and with diarrhea. It would always take a week or two for him to recover. It was bad enough that we started just leaving him at home and had our neighbors look in on him and feed him. Then THAT stopped working! I read all of the reviews here on yelp of other dogs that had the same experiences with other kennels and how happy they were after being boarded at Bayside and decided to give it a try. When they brought Maxx out, he was smiling, bouncing and beyond happy! We got in the car and while he was doing his happy panting, there wasn't even a hint of a wheeze! No shivering, no cowering, none of it!!!!! Then I took a closer look at his bed and it was CLEAN! They actually washed his bed for us!!! We could not be happier! Robert, you're the best and Maxx is yours forever! read more
