Called on a Wednesday to see if I could get my car in because my air conditioning wasn't working correctly, thats what I told them, didn't ask for any more details. I take my car in Friday morning to drop it off and talking to the guy more about whats going on and how I think it might be a leak. Tells me they don't do that kind of work. He says "wish I would have known this over the phone" yeah me too buddy. Waste of my damn time. read more

In my opinion I would not recommend this place to anyone anywhere ever because I questioned the scratch gouges on my driver door and I asked for a a part that belonged on my car that was either taken off or broken by the mechanic and I was not even told and was told to get the F...out and never show my face there again !!! when I asked what happen to it and can I have it back... after having money thrown in my face thinking that would satisfy the issue as if that wasn't a guilty plee...and called me names in front of the manager who did nothing while his employee berated and shook my being to the core and screamed and yelled that it was heard a few hundred feet away from the entrance I left shaking and in tears. Hoban's replaced our car radiator when it started leaking on a weekend trip to Delaware. They were agreeable with us purchasing the part at a nearby Advanced Auto. The complicated part was finding a rental car. Finally found one at Salisbury airport. Hoban's did a good job for a fair price. read more

There is nothing worse than being on vacation and having car trouble. Mid week our van's check engine light started blinking while in Delaware. With to closest dealership 40+ mins away I set to researching local shops and found Hoban Service Center. Across two sites they had positive reviews and they did not disappoint. They were beyond helpful ensuring my car was assessed and fixed within one day. Thoroughly explained the issue (failing spark plug/coil) and provided an appropriate recommendation to replace all three to ensure no additional issues (van was almost at 100,000 miles which is the recommended mileage to replace these items). They were friendly and charged a reasonable price. If you are looking for a reliable place while vacationing I would definitely recommend Hoban! read more

I've been going to Hoban's for years. Jack and Charlie have both worked on my 1999 F-150 throughout that period. Their work is always outstanding and their price is always fair. I recommend them to everyone and my Granddaughter is a regular customer also. My truck has required extensive work over the 120,000 miles I've put on it (with 118,000 on it when I bought it!) in the past 13 years and Hoban's have always met the challenge and kept it running well. After dropping by a couple places that couldn't help me, I dropped here this morning, the Thursday before the 4th of July. I'm a vacationer and did not have an appointment, but during the course of my vacation, my back breaks needed replaced and began to grind . I was there shortly after the shop opened and I asked if I could get my car in without an appointment, the gentleman said sure, and 90 minutes later I was all set to go with new back brakes and piece of mind for my 9 hour drive back home. Great experience working with Charlie's team fixing a wheel bearing on a Honda Pilot. I initially proposed a different problem based on the recommendation of a dealership. Charlie was respectful of comments and then did a thorough inspection of the vehicle where his team identified the issue that was different than what I thought. The Hoban Service Center got my car back to normal. I dropped off the car in the morning after calling ahead and had the car back at the close of business. I got several estimates before I went to HOBAN'S. Shopping around paid off. He saved me almost 50% on what the ford dealer in Georgetown wanted. I'm new to the area so I'm very pleased to have found a very good and honest mechanic, as they are so hard to find. For me, he replaced the ball joints the inner and outer tierod ends and a front end alignment. The car rides GREAT now.and the steering, well, it's like a new car. Thank You Much Mr./ Hoban. This is my first review for this web site, so here goes. I have been taking my vehicles to Hoban's for about 13 years. I tried taking my cars to dealerships to have them fixed by the "professionals", but all they are professional at is taking your money. One of my experiences with Hoban's was a few weeks ago. I just recently bought a 1996 Chevy Suburban. I was at my childs school and the truck would not start. I called Hoban's, they were at my childs school within 5 minutes. He tried different options to try to start it. But he had to tow it. By the next morning I got a call saying it was DONE!! I couldn't believe it!! Some of these chain places talk to you as if you know nothing about cars. Hoban's does not, they explain everything to you. If you have any questions, they will gladly answer them. Hate to do this but at this point I have to.. 2 weeks ago I took my car of an oil change and couple days ago I realized that they didn't put the cap back on.. so the oil was all over my car and there was little left..I feel lucky my engine didn't blow up.. When I took the car back there the lady in the office was incredibly rude .. (very busy with her personal stuff ) didn't even want to pay me back for an oil change ( acting very bitchy ) .. There was one decent guy and he stepped out and gave me the check.. Very stressful experience.. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I recently broke down in an area where I did not know who to turn to. I remembered Hobans from passing by a few times and called them. They came right out to me and picked me up in less than 15 minutes! They diagnosed my problem as being part of a recall that I had never taken care of. They offered to tow my vehicle to the dealership to get the problem resolved there. The vehicle was sent to the dealership and the problem was resolved. The towing and diagnostic bill was very reasonable and I really appreciate their prompt service and honesty. I am not a mechanic and had no idea what to expect. I can say that I am very appreciative of my experience with this repair center. Thanks guys! read more
