We had a great time on the Pontoon boat that we rented from Bayside. The staff was all friendly, highly professional, and thoroughly reviewed everything with us before going out. They also did a good job of cleaning the boats from one group to the next which we really appreciated given the Covid times we live in now. We did a two hour boat rental and it was so wonderful to be out on the water. The breeze and ability to drive the boat wherever we pleased was such a freeing experience! We anchored twice and jumped off the boat in the middle of the bay to swim which our two boys loved doing! The boat itself was very clean, had all safety features and worked seamlessly. We had an amazing time renting a pontoon boat for our group of 7 here! We decided to take a boat out to explore OC for the first time on Saturday and we're so glad we went with Bayside Boat Rentals! Check in was super easy and they gave our driver a 10 minute tutorial on how to operate the boat. Even though our driver has a boating license, they will issue you a temporary license and give you all you need to know to be safe out on the water! I was especially impressed because due to an incident with another group, we started our rental 15 minutes late, and they let us keep the boat for 15 min past our reservation to make up for time lost! For a 6 hour rental (1:30-7:30 PM), the cost was about $507. So split between 7 people, it only cost about $72. So worth it for 6 hours of free exploration time! They told us about a popular sand bar on the map that we checked out first and it was boat city! So many people out enjoying the redneck yacht club--so fun! After, we docked at Fish Tales for lunch. Then we had about 2 hours left, so we went swimming bayside (before getting stung by jellyfish...) and then rounded out the day docking at Seacrets. The pontoons comfortably fit 7 people, and would easily fit 1-3 more! We also had a giant Yeti cooler that fit with plenty of room to spare on the floor. They also come with pretty loud built-in speakers that connect to the radio and Bluetooth so you can DJ from a phone! You can also drop the back ladder for easy access if you decide to go swimming. We had an EXCELLENT experience at Bayside! The office staff were professional and efficient. Cam and Jason explained all of the safety regulations and required paperwork clearly and were very kind and welcoming, a pleasure! We rented a pontoon for a few hours. It was pristine and in perfect working order. Dennis gave us a thorough briefing on how to operate the boat, all the safety regulations and some tips on areas to visit in the bay. Parking was easy and the staff were quick to help with our belongings. This is a very well run business and we really appreciated their focus on safety, customer service and our enjoyment. My family and I visit OC every year and have rented jet skis from Bayside for the past 5 or 6 years. It's been a blast every time, great and easy experience and a lot of fun! This summer, we were forced to cancel our reservation on the same day - typically we wouldn't be eligible for a refund since it's under 24 hours, but they were great about it and gave us a full refund. We're definitely planning to use them again next year! read more

As I was walking to Macky's I noticed this place and had to stop to ask for information. They do boat and jet ski rentals and I found their prices very reasonable. Since we were a group of 8 we decided to rent a pontoon boat for 2 hours for the next day. The reservation was super fast and easy. All you need to give is your name, phone number and a credit card. They ask you to come in half an hour before your actual reservation time since you need to fill out some information to sail the boat. Don't forget to bring drinks and sun block. The boat had a radio which we enjoyed as we sailed. If you come with a group of friends this is a must do since the boats fits up to 12 people and its only about $200 for 2 hours, our only complain was that we wished we had rented for 4 hours instead of 2 since we were having so much fun and weren't ready to come back. read more

Called a day in advance to set up an hour jetski for 2 people, and from start to finish the customer service was excellent! Everyone was really nice there, and was acccomidating to all of our questions on their process. Before you get on the jetski, MD state law requires you to take a small test (13 multiple choice questions) to make sure you know the rules on the water if you're driving. They have signs on the trees with all the info outside, so it doesn't take more than about 10 minutes. HOWEVER, make sure you get there 30 minutes early like they tell you! They're a small place, and groups crowd the outside (and the service counter) pretty fast. When everything's said and done, the extra time flies by. The experience itself was wonderful, the guides go out with you on their own jetskis to keep track of everyone and the time. They have a LOT of space for you to free roam, and if you need help while out on the water they're fast and attentive. Overall, loved the experience, would definitely come back for another rental! These guys know their stuff- with a solid system and knowlegable guides and staff, you can't go wrong! read more

I called this shop numerous times since the morning to rent a boat for some fishing but due to family constraints I was on the fence all day. First the 5 pm time spot got taken because I didn't reserve it then I called again and they offered me a 6 pm to reserve but I couldn't take it still. Finally I drove in just to buy some bait - they sell a good amount of frozen squid for $5 for some pier fishing when they told me that a 630 time slot opened up. I rented a pontoon boat for 2 hrs for about $209 + tax. One of the guys there gave us a quick and dirty tutorial on how to operate the boat and not kill yourself or passengers. Very informative and straight to the point. I took off to the Isle of Wight Bay feeling like a champ and saw a small island with a bunch of birds. I wanted to get closer to catch crab when one of the guys from the boat rental pulled up in a jetski and told me to watch out for shallow water in that area. Good save! On the way back after 2 hours of fun (but no fish) I got a bit lost. I pulled towards a dock with a hundred people chilling on a pier at a bar and grill looking place and both they and I realized I wasn't sure where I was going. I called up the boat rental and the guy on the phone guided me back to their shop. Good thing for my ego I was only 5 or so minutes away. Not too far off. Good reliable place as far as I can tell. Boat worked fine, equipment was fine. Check in and registration and check out were a breeze. People who work there are good and professional. Most importantly they answered all my phone calls including the one where I was lost in the water. read more

Just visited this past Sunday (Memorial Day Weekend) the staff were all awesome, especially the young brunette woman (name escaping me..) who helped us with our paperwork when we were renting out our pontoon. She was training pretty much all the other people behind the desk, and handled everything as professionally and quickly as possible and got us out on the bay right on time. Boat itself was AMAZING, got a 3 hour window and loved every single second of it. Had 10 people onboard and there was plenty of room. The owner also was there when we docked at the end, couldn't have been a nicer guy. Great deal, great time, great people, no complaints. Jet Skis: overall experience was very good. Make reservations. I brought my wife and daughter 15 and son 10. They had never been on a jet ski. We doubled up on two jet skis. Checking in was well coordinated and organized. Instruction was clear but a bit fast if you are a first-timer, but overall clear. On water guides were helpful and attentive. Jet skis were top-notch! Later we took a parasail tour at the nearby OC Parasail and even the owner commented on how BSBR has nice jet skis. An hour is plenty of time to get your adrenaline rush. The designated jet ski area was large and safe. Overall, it was a great place to have a super jet ski experience that was fun and safe, which is what you want. read more

Bayside Boat Rentals are awesome!!!! My group of friends and I come every year to OCMD. We did the typical Seacrets day in and day out but we were looking for new things to do aside from bars (but still have a drink or 2 ). By luck Bayside Boat Rentals was outside of our condo during our stay two years ago. We walked up and were able to reserve two pontoons for about 20 of us. Such an easy process and the staff is fantastic. Everyone was so helpful and explained everything so clearly. The pontoons are nice, clean and easy to use. So much room for all of us. We came back two weekends ago for our annual trip and everything was great as always. My boyfriend ended up leaving his tackle bag there and we did not realize until we were halfway home to New Jersey. They held onto the bag and shipped it out to us!! We can't tell you enough how much we appreciated that. We plan to make this our Sunday Funday activity every year. read more

Awesome place to ride jet ski's, jet boats, and so much more! Booked a reservation for a jet boat. They tell you to arrive 30 minutes before your reservation because they are going to debrief you and teach you about the jet ski, jet boat, etc. Once we got there they were ready to go so we did not have to wait at all despite all of the people there. They are very on top of their game and on schedule. The jet boat was awesome for my boyfriend and I. Goes fast and you get to enjoy splashes of water while not have to get into the deep ocean. Was a great day for boating! Check in was super easy and on-time. Staff was friendly and gave us the safety run down and sent us on our way. Once we got out on the water we realized we forgot our fishing bait, turned around and headed back in...the "captain" thought they were gonna get mad at us, but they welcomed us back with smiles (after only 10 minutes) and turned us around and sent us on our way again. The boats we clean and in great condition, except one of the zones for speakers wasn't working (not sure if it was operator error or not tho) All in all, quite satisfied with the price and service. Came to Bayside for some Jet Ski rentals. I found this spot on Yelp and chose it over others because of their Yelp $20 off checkin promo. When we finished up paperwork for an hour rental and showed them the Yelp checkin, the girl with the blonde hair said that they can't accept it, and that I would need to "print it out." Basically a money hungry tactic to try to attract people with their promo. Hope the extra $20 was worth it. read more

We reserved a pontoon and arrived 30 minutes before our departure. After filling out the paper work we were told to move our cars 5 minutes before our reservation time because we were parked in their jetski parking. The staff is extremely rude here and the manager a complete nightmare. After asking her if we could leave our cars in the area they manage, she rudely told us if we don't move the cars they'll cancel the appt and ripped up our paper work. Like seriously? From jet skis to the guys form the crew, everything made my experience that much better! The first time i tried the jet ski, i had unbelievable time and the crew including Matt made sure i had fun. The crew they have there are very professional and kind. They were ready to help, and gave great directions. Now, 4 years later every single year i visit OC i mostly go just so i can do jet skis to have that great experience at Bayside Boat Rentals over and over again. This year i was there on July 14th, and again amazing time, this time i had Nick helping us! Thank you Nick for helping me when i turned the jet ski over and landed in the water! So much fun!!!
