Stepping inside of this magnificent dessert emporium I became perplexed by the variety of desserts and pastries that were very desirable and readily available. In the words of Vinnie Barbarino, I'm so confused (IYKYK). It's a different setup that causes the line to move faster than it used to, I see the improvement. The ordering is done in one place and cashing out is next to it, in the same area. You still walk in and head straight to the display cases where you pick you pleasure. I did not pick my names sake only because it slipped my mind due to me being focused on breakfast. No, I don't eat cakes for breakfast. I picked up a couple croissants, apple turnover, a couple of cheese Danishes, and an almond croissant. Service was prompt and the employees were attentive as well as pleasant. I like how they approach the counter and inquire about your status versus staring at you letting you try to figure out if someone is going to help you or not. At the check out, there's the coffee station or tea. I ordered 2 French Vanilla coffees, to say the least the French vanilla flavor seemed distant to none. On the second trip it was exact same coffee request with the same results. An improvement needed is to have different sweetners for the coffee. Not everyone wants white sugar or sweet n low. Since the vanilla syrup is not sweet enough, another liquid sweetener can work. Nonetheless this was such a sweet experience! Inspire more, Yelp more!

Everything was tasty and was a good portion. The service was fast and very friendly. The diner is a little out dated but gives off an old school diner vibe, which I think there going for. The first encounter happened awhile ago. I told the waiter that I didn't want lumps in my grits at the time of ordering. He came back and I told him about the lump in the grits. He says there's only one and walked off. The problem with lumps is, I don't eat grits with lumps and I'm not going to pay for lumps going out to eat. Today 11/18 I ordered an egg white veggie omelette with turkey bacon. It was not clear to me that the bacon would be cut up inside the omelette. While I'm trying to ask about the bacon he walks off and then comes back. Takes an ink pin and points to the bacon less than inches away from the egg. I understand that the chef has to use their hands dealing with the food but for the waiter to bring the food and use a foreign object let alone his finger over my freaking food is totally unacceptable and won't be tolerated. I WAS LIVID and for him failing to comprehend that his actions weren't normal, is outrageous. He stood there trying to play it off by saying he did nothing wrong and he just pointed at the food trying to hid the ink pen and failing to take accountability provoking the situation. All he had to say was that it was cut up inside of the omelette. It seems like the last three times I came, I was being placed in this guys section. They know me in this restaurant and they failed to read the room. I've previously expressed my concerns. It's not a good morning, it's hard but I'll try to... inspire more, yelp more!

Instead I got a bunch of blank stares looking like "excuse me, we have gossip to talk about and you're interrupting it" before another girl walked over very friendly asking how I was and what I'd like to order. Only got a French Toast bagel with butter & syrup & could feel the other girls not wanting me to be there. I was once young myself & had "friends" who worked there who were the center of drama in their circles, so it wasn't quite a shocker to me. I'm sure if any of the older ladies who were probably off for Mothers Day were there, the ship would have been ran a bit more tight. Also came home to my bagel barely having any butter or syrup on it which I could put more on myself, but for almost $4 it would be nice to have it be more filled.
