In August of 2018 we had Bayside Pavers do an installation in our backyard in Oakmont (Santa Rosa). It was carefully and professionally done and we haven't had any issues with the pavers. We contacted their office in Concord to clean, re-grout, and re-seal the pavers. Dan performed the maintenance professionally and even adjusted a paver that had lifted a little bit. The backyard looks like new again. There are so many business services now that don't label their vehicles with their identity, nor have their staff wear clothing with their logos. We had a large deck in our backyard that was old and needed replacement. Also fire safety was an issue in replacing it. We had some ideas on the design which included 3 levels of pavers and a planter area. Kris from Bayside worked with us to get our ideas ironed out. We put pavers into our backyard in 2020, and it was a big project, so we got a few quotes. Bayside was in line with the rest, and we appreciated how the designer offered feedback. It's why we went with them, even though they were less responsive than the other companies, and the designer was late to a few meetings without explanation. We were willing to deal with poor customer service in exchange for a nice-looking backyard. The project was done in the time promised, and it looked nice. We installed as many drains as they suggested because we didn't want puddles. A couple of months after the project, we got our first puddles. We contacted Bayside, and they came out fairly quickly to fix. A couple of months later, the puddles returned. We contacted them again, and after several months they returned again to fix. The communication was terrible. We'd have to bug them for updates, and more than once, crews showed up unannounced in the early morning, acting like they were expected. This summer, we had a puddle in a new spot, so we reached out again. Luis came out, and he said nothing about any issue in doing the job. A crew came out (unannounced) over Labor Day, stayed for about an hour and just left. We heard nothing else from them. It's now nearly December, and I've texted Luis monthly to get a status update. He says there are supply issues and scheduling issues, and it usually takes 2-3 months for a fix. Today, he said the fix isn't covered, and apparently this was decided months ago. No word on why this puddle fix is different or why he didn't mention this months ago or why he said scheduling and supplies were the reason they hadn't fixed it. Terrible customer service for a job that cost a lot of money. Terrible communication from the staff. There are better options out there. read more

Well... my original review below still stands. Pavers look beautiful but darn, shelter in place still exists! The employees working on our patio were OUTSTANDING! The Owner, Adriana check w/us each day in person! Everyone is first class! She put up w/all our concerns and was amazing. All of a sudden, my husband said "We need to redo the pool and btw the patio pavers need to be replaced!" Me - "What the hell are you talking about? Have you lost your mind!" I wasn't a fan of any of this craziness...that's putting it mildly! Well... he won the argument. Out came Adriana and I had a meltdown questioning everything. However she was a real professional putting up with me. She has gone above and beyond helping us choose what pavers will work for us & what will blend in. Her enthusiasm, insight and professionalism is unsurpassed. We can't wait to see the finished patio! By then hopefully shelter in place will be over and we can show off our new patio. read more

Our new-to-us home came with an old, limited and very jumbled yard with 20-year old concrete and a section of deteriorating wood slates. We shopped around and after meeting with Adriana of Bayside Pavers (BP) we knew we had the right company and project supervisor. We were not in the least disappointed. Her design was creative and beautiful. Her team arrived and in two weeks we had a totally transformed hardscape with pavers, raised fountain area, borders, lights, and drip system. Every aspect of the project has been overseen by Adriana. She selected a very attractive but simple lighting system including a gorgeous circle of lights set into the pavers. The transformer was defective and she stayed on top of the problem until it was quickly replaced. Adrianna is a warm hearted, smart, and very easy person with whom to work: she consistently stays in touch, is good to her word, and she has a thorough grasp of products and how to make them work into a fantastic design. She was clearly the leader of the construction team and obviously enjoyed their full trust. Being new to this sort of project and new in the community, we did a good deal of sounding to find the right company and design/project supervisor. We could not be happier with the outcome, the timely installation, the cost, the design, but most of all with the opportunity to work with Adriana. We highly recommend BP and Adriana, indeed we recommend them without reservation. It isn't often that one finds a company and leadership that earns and deserves such praise. Bayside Pavers recently replaced the pool deck for our homeowners complex with pavers that received raving compliments from the homeowners. As the project manager, I had the privilege of working with their Design Consultant, Mark Astleford on it. I was so impressed with Mark and Luiz Avila, the owner, and their entire Bayside team and the job they did for our association, that I engaged them to replace my front patio with pavers. Mark has a keen eye for color and pattern and most importantly took into consideration my physical limitations by creating a design that met my needs, lightened the patio area, and was aesthetically beautiful and pleasing. The owner, Luiz Avila, even came to the site and added his expertise when it came to eliminating some of the drainage challenges. Bayside's demolition and paving crews are some of the hardest and consistent working crews I have ever encountered. They tackle a job head and on remain on task until the job is finished. Before the demolition crew left the job site everything was hauled away cleaned up and hosed down. Valdimere led the paving crew along with Jason and Bruno and they were just as amazing and dedicated in creating a smooth surface, keeping in mind the drainage slope, while maintaining the overall design. They tackled a front step challenge that produced an end product that was even better than originally planned. They also left the job site in better condition than when they arrived. Mark Astleford was my initial contact with Bayside Pavers. Not only am I pleased with the company and the work they did but Mark's professionalism and willingness to listen throughout the project is a credit to his character. We contacted Bayside Pavers to get some ideas and a quote for our front yard. We had been planning on redoing the yard with a low maintenance and no watering solution. Mark did an excellent job of listening to us think out loud about things we thought we would like/want and turned it into amazing drawings. He came out multiple times to bring us drawings and material samples until we had finalized what we wanted. Two days after we finalized the drawings, a crew showed up and started working. I was shocked every day when I came home and saw how much they had gotten done. In just over a week, they had completely transformed our eye sore front yard into the envy of the block! We have had several neighbors come over to tell us how much they love it. What impressed me the most: - Mark and Luiz were ALWAYS available to answer questions, take a look at part of the project we needed suggestions for and follow up with progress. Day or night, evening or weekend. They are dedicated to their customers satisfaction and take great pride in their work. - The entire process was very easy for us. They constantly communicated what we should expect as the project went along and let us know if there was going to be any delay. For example, one stone was not delivered as expected. Luiz came to our house to on a Saturday to let us know in person and told us what they would be back later that day with the correct item. They did not need to do that at all and I appreciated the open communication - The crew that was working on our project was extremely talented, polite and hard working! Those guys really seemed to be enjoying their work and taking pride in the end result. It made me so happy to hear them singing along to the radio as they worked! - Clean up daily was outstanding. Every evening the guys would sweep the street and sidewalk before they left and organize the stacks of stones. I really appreciate that because it meant my neighbors would not be irritated. Instead, they would be jealous! At every point along the way, they exceeded my expectations. We will absolutely be contacting them again when we are ready to redo our back yard. We were so impressed with the work done on our 900sf front patio. Everyone showed up for work every day except one when one of their workmen had their truck stolen at his home with all his tools. After the job was finished I noticed that two sprinkler lines were damaged when the turf was removed. A quick call to Luiz and within a couple of days he sent someone back to fix the problem. We are very picky on how we wanted to the pavers to look with curves and interlocking circles. Not a straight line in sight. We contacted BP based on other posted positive reviews and found the communication + quality of the work to be exceptional. This company far exceeded our expectations. Here is the short version of why: Planning & Proposal - Luiz spent at least 1.5-2 hours at our house making suggestions for the space and improving what we had in mind. He emailed a visual view from above of the proposed improvements to our backyard. Communication - The owner Luiz is a natural communicator. Every time we contacted Luiz he was quick to reply and he just responded well to questions. During the install we requested a drain that was part of our previous watering system be moved for aesthetic reasons. It was a minor detail but it was some backtracking for them. Luiz never seemed hesitant or put out. He is very professional in his interactions. Install - The work crews were impressive. Those guys hustled. They appeared experienced and organized. We are more than pleased with the work of Bayside Pavers.I would absolutely recommend this company. **The job was to remove an existing brick patio, remove a slightly sloped area of dead lawn, leveling the space, installing a paver patio that included a circle feature plus a retaining wall that also provides seating.
