Stayed here on 8/28-8/30 while celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. Everything about SSH is amazing, Phil the owner went out of his way to welcome us and communicated with me via e-mail several times before we arrived and during our stay. Check-in process is so easy & convenient, the room we had was very nice, bed was super comfortable & clean, we found a note from Phil welcoming us & he left a complimentary bottle of wine & a some candies with a "Happy Birthday " note for my gf! A nice bottle of water was also provided & it was so good I requested & received a 2nd bottle within minutes of my request for it. On site there is a nice fire pit which we sat at each night and chatted with other guests, there is a nice pool (took a dip in it on 2nd day there) and they provide a very nice complimentary continental breakfast each morning via a take out window near the office where you select what you'd like for breakfast and they make up a little picnic basket that you take back to your room, sit @ outdoor tables on site or take away with you to the beach or wherever you go (return the basket ). There is a little barn area with live goats too where you can visit them. We will definitely return to SSH the next time we come down to the Cape, the location is excellent & the owners are incredible. Thank you for a wonderful stay! read more

I don't want to give this 5 stars selfishly to keep this little gem to myself. But 5 stars + they deserve. Phil and Silvia were warm and accommodating from the beginning. Our room was clean and spacious. Toiletries provided were very nice. There was ample towels and ample pillows and blankets for my liking - something I think many places struggle with. Independent room temp controls were perfect and allowed us the cold sleep we like. Water pressure in the shower was absolutely top tier. I wish I could get that at home! The bottle of wine and happy birthday message was a beautiful touch on arrival. The check in, parking, and navigation of the grounds was very easy! The grounds are gorgeous. The pool, the fire pit, the yard games, and the goats on property were all fabulous touches! We picked this place due to its proximity to Mayflower Beach which is our favorite place to be. Because We were attending Father's Day celebration in Brewster. My search for overnight accommodation brought me to this very lovely location. I couldn't be happier with how high end the decor was. The grounds offered a beautiful appointed swimming pool, plus an area for evening fire pit fun. I never found the goats unfortunately but I'm sure next time hopefully I will get to know them. Overall, our accommodations were 5 star quality. The bedding was as comfortable as any 5 star hotel I've stayed at. Located on 6A , a beautiful route with the best experience of old cape cod homes and scenery. Ice cream shoppes, clam shacks, antique shops and shopping for cape cod artifacts were noted flanking both sides of the route for tourists. A continental breakfast was served in a picnic basket was an added touch. Muffins, yogurt, cereal were served on a sunny patio or bring your basket to your room. For me I was very pleased with the hospitality offered by Phil, very easy check in and check out. Better yet we went to a very famous breakfast restaurant on the cape called Grumpy's which is across the street from the Hotel. However, Due to lack of Parking at Grumpy's, Phil allowed us to park on site despite that we had checked out. Very kindly indeed. The property was beautiful. We had a room with a kitchen with the amenities and loved the freedom it gave us during our stay to cook if we wanted to. In the morning their continental breakfasts were super delicious (muffins and yogurt parfaits were my favorite) and the picnic baskets were a sweet touch. Although we opted to eat on the patio when the weather allowed. I loved that the bathrooms had pinkish beige towels and crocheted floor mats. It added to the home away from home feel. I appreciated their attention to living green!! They provided a fan if the weather allowed the AC to be turned off (our room had incredible cross breezes). Compostable flatware with breakfast and recycling available. We enjoyed the games around the fire pit, nightly. And loved visiting with the goats!! Everyone we interacted with on the property was so kind! We loved our stay and only wish the weather was better while we were here. read more

Our family spends a week on Cape Cod every summer and this year was our first stay at the Sesuit Harbor House. We stayed in Dennisport for several years but were getting tired of the tourist atmosphere and were looking for a quieter place to stay - and we certainly found it! Our room was perfect. Clean, bright, and very comfortable. We had a kitchen which we needed due to food allergies and it worked out perfectly. Having a reserved parking space was great. No need to worry about finding a space. Phil was more than accommodating - he was a text message away for anything we needed. He even made sure we had options for breakfast (gluten free). We loved the pool, fire pit in the evening, and of course the goats! I'd give 10 stars if I could. We've already reserved our room for next summer and can't wait to come back! read more

Lovely place to stay with family and kids . We were here for the Memorial Day weekend this year. The host and hostess are such warm and kind people. The inn is very conveniently located with access to good restaurants in walking distance . We had booked a room with two queen and kitchenette. Really clean rooms with clean and comfortable bedding , sheets and towels . The property is very picturesque with a small pool for kids and outdoor seating to relax. Continental breakfast within premises makes it so very convenient to grab a quick coffee and few bites first thing in the morning before heading out for activities. We will definitely be coming here again with family and I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling by themselves , as a couple or with kids . Excellent!! read more

This was our second stay here in as many years. This year we stayed at a larger chain hotel before our stay here as I wanted to use points for some of the stay. The differences couldn't have been more obvious. Brown water for coffee and mass produced baked goods at the chain hotel versus fantastic coffee, fresh baked scones and muffins and yogurt parfait at Sesuit House. The attention to detail from the food offerings to the welcome chocolates and beautiful grounds made us feel like welcome friends as opposed to simply guests. We were very pleased with our weekend stay at the Sesuit Harbor House. It was conveniently located, family friendly, clean, and reasonably priced. The property was nicely landscaped, and the buildings were situated in such a way that the guests and parking are broken up, making for an enjoyable setting. We didn't take advantage of the pool, but it was clearly in good condition and if we'd had more time I'm sure we would have gone in for a swim. The owners were friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was comfortable; it was smallish, but that's never a surprise in a big city or a vacation spot like Cape Cod, and there was still enough room for all that we schlepped plus the pack-and-play. In all, we would recommend it to others travelling to the same spot, and we would consider bringing our family there again. read more

***Stayed from Sept.6th - 9th**** My family has been staying at the Sesuit Harbor House since the early '90s. I've stayed in the King Room and Suits (rooms with a kitchen). Rooms are always clean and staff has always been friendly. Not to mention being located directly across the street from the family loved, Grumpy's restaurant. The pool is also clean with plenty of pool accessories (noodles/rafts etc). I would highly recommend Sesuit Harbor House when friends visit the Cape. Good Luck -T read more

This place is a hidden gem! Phil and Sylvia are the most accommodating hosts. We were down for a wedding they let us check in early and made sure the room was ready with and iron and ironing board without us even asking. The room was beautiful and perfect for a night stay. They let you use their bikes and beach chairs for a trip to the beach. All a around great place! read more

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Sesuit Harbor House in August 2022. Our weeklong stay did not disappoint. The grounds have a secluded feel as they are surrounded with plants and trees. There is plenty of space to sit and relax, even a fire pit. The pool was so refreshing on those hot summer days, with luxury towels and shade in the afternoon. Our room was perfect, clean and neat, with a kitchen we made good use of. We really appreciated the continental style breakfast with wonderful pastries from The Underground Bakery, cereal, yogurt, juice... This felt like a resort. The owners were available by text and were very prompt to respond (like when we locked ourselves out of our room)! They were in contact with us even before we arrived to let us know the check in process (so simple). And to top it all off, there are adorable goats on premises. We enjoyed visiting them every day. There is a wonderful ice cream shop just down the road, "Ice Cream Smugglers", and that was an every evening treat!! Staying at The Sesuit Harbor House made our trip very relaxing. I don't normally post reviews of places, but my experience at Sesuit Harbor House this past week was so incredibly unprofessional as the behavior exhibited by management was so disgusting that I feel like it's necessary to prevent my experience from happening to any other young females/families with kids. Two professional late twenties girls stayed here for a few days for a wedding. Our cousins/parents stayed down the street at their house. During the day, my parents and cousins came over to check out the place, pick us up for dinner, and carpool to the beach. My cousins came over beforehand to uber out at night so we could go together if on that side of town. Upon checking out I was charged for 6 PEOPLE staying at the room and was not given a receipt when asked and ultimately saw the $200 extra charge on my bank statement after the fact. Kim and Jim stated they went through our luggage, counted the number of towels in the room, counted the "trash" (?), and "thoroughly inspected" our room and "watched us very closely" while we were there. And believe me that's a true statement - we caught Jim looking through the window and trying to open the door to our room while we were resting and had the privacy sign on. My parents wanted to know why Jim was peering out the window of the office watching us every time they picked us up. I was unloading my car from the beach before moving it and Jim comes sprinting out telling me to move it immediately despite no other cars in the front parking lot. The trash inspection may be my favorite incrimination thus far; a multitude of pizza and oreo boxes over the course of a few days automatically concludes more than two people were sleeping in the room. Evidently, unbeknownst to Jim, it is possible to eat like you're on vacation AND still look this good. I'll admit it's tough, but entirely possible nonetheless. Girls beware, if you use a towel for your hair and body when getting ready, that's not allowed here. If you use all the towels provided you incur an extra charge. Likewise, if you're responsible and bring your own beach towels/blankets and management digs through to the bottom of your beach bag to find them, you will also incur an additional charge. Any girl/mother knows how many clothes we need on vacation, particularly when you have an event/young children; yet, after again going through our luggage, the conclusion was made an entire village slept in the room nonetheless. God forbid you went shopping! I can't even imagine staying here with little kids. The irony of the situation is the more they tried to defend themselves, the more they incriminated themselves in terms of the extreme inappropriateness of their behavior. Making absurd assumptions and then PHYSICALLY trying to back them up. Not sure why people would want to stay at an old motel when they can stay at a nice house down the street. Jim and Kim's behavior speaks volumes about how busy they are during the Cape's busiest week of the entire year. One a more serious note, I will be going through all my luggage later given the fact it was "inspected" to make sure nothing was taken or tampered with and will be taking legal action if necessary. It's truly a disgusting feeling knowing that management has gone through your private luggage/blankets/anything else that's yours. Jim made us feel extremely uncomfortable and I hope this happens to no one else. read more

My husband and I stayed here in September. I have stayed here through the years and it has always been a lovely family hotel. The new owners have made it even more homey and quaint. There is a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs with blankets, a swimming pool and full kitchen. It's a great location and close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We have stayed here off + on over the last 9 years. The Sesuit Harbor House is a small motel off 6A in East Dennis run by a friendly couple. There are several buildings and different sizes of rooms, with varying appliances in them. They have a clean pool there, it's near the beaches, also. The rooms are clean + bright, the owners are friendly, the breakfast usually has fresh baked items + fruit among other things. I like it because it's kind of tucked away and not on the beaten path (Rte 28). Two thumbs up + recommended!! read more

Stayed here over the July 4th holiday. My wife and I along with our 2 young kids had the top two rooms in the main house above the office. We love the location. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the grounds are well maintained, the pool area was great and the owners are extremely attentive and nice. We will be back for sure. read more

A NEW LOW OF CUSTOMER SERVICE: We recently spent a weekend at the Sesuit Harbor Motel due to the unfortunate event of a dear friend passing. The pure lack of customer service and human decency was down right horrifying. We brought our party of people back to our hotel room after the services were done for the day and the police were notified immediately for noise complaints. We are all adults here, most of us in our thirties, we are able to constructively break apart a party and deal respectively with the issue. After our parties had dispersed to our own hotel rooms the owner of the hotel felt the need to come back to our room and tell us all personally that we were a disgrace, a mess, and WE WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR FRIENDS DEATH!! I've never in my life heard of such a grossly inappropriate comment given. It absolutely tore us apart and sent us into a tailspin of emotions, from an already emotionally exhausting day. The next day we wanted to tell them of how awful and inappropriate the comment was and perhaps reach some common ground on the issue, no, they went into their tirade again of how we destroyed their property (the room was clean when we left) and how our parents would be ashamed of us (we are all grown adults). I would never in MY LIFE stay at this awful place again. For paying customers I have never received such horrible and inappropriate service ever. I don't know if my friends and I will ever forget his outrageously insensitive comment. Just awful. read more

Ooooo disappointing meal at my formerly favorite place on the cape. Normally I get the whole belly fried clams and years before they were plentiful. This year I paid my high price ( which I don't mind if I get what I want) and only clam strips, not ONE whole belly! Another person in our group had scallops that were dry. My wife and I spent an evening at the Sesuit Harbor House and loved it!! We have used rentals, bed and breakfasts, and motels in the area for 40 years and have generally been pleased. Sesuit Harbor House was one of the very best experiences: beautiful grounds and units, an excellent pool, easy access for elders like me, and a delicious continental breakfast in the morning. Second year in a row we chose to stay at the Sesuit Harbor House and would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a wonderful, clean room with a courteous staff in the East Dennis area. Minutes from gorgeous beaches and in the heart of quaint Cape Cod. The owners Kim and Jim are just amazing. They are readily available to answer questions, offer dining and day trip recommendations and become like family while you are there. The rooms are clean and the grounds are well maintained. The complimentary breakfast with healthy options each morning, is wonderful! My 3 children thoroughly enjoyed he pool which was also well maintained with plenty of floats, toys and tubes to play with. One afternoon, I noticed that my personal pillowcase had been accidentally replaced by housekeeping. Being a similar color, I thought there was no way to find it in housekeeping but within minutes of telling Jim, he was knocking on my door with my pillow case.
