Given the current cruise CDC mandate where a Covid-19 negative test result is required within 48 hours of embarking for vaccinated individuals, this can be especially challenging as a usual test can take over 48 hours to obtain the results and rapid tests are hard to find sometimes, or cost $100 - $200 each. I'm going to change my two stars to a one because the owner wants to argue with me through an app, telling me I'm completely wrong about MY experience I had during the time I had at his practice. Comical. Shows how much you care for your patients. I have texts and videos with the times of me arriving at your business, during daylight House, the line was wrapped around your building outside, the girl's grandmother (who was behind me waiting for a test) went to the grocery store and went home and took a nap while she waited for her to get her test. It really did take about four and a half hours. By the time I got into the building it was dark outside! Everyone in line was complaining, and your staff members only came out once during that time period to turn other people away from the line. But you are right after all you were the person waiting in the line right? So you MUST know. Check yourself and your staff because you all suck at costumer service!:) read more

I've been here twice and both times have been great! Today, I had to have an abcess removed and it was painful and a bit scary but my doctor made the process go by smoothly and quickly. His bedside manner was so kind as well. We talked about Chicago (home for me) and where I worked and where he went to school. It helped to talk since I was nervous about my visit. The front desk was also so kind. Pernitia (forgive my spelling please!!) was incredibly patient and friendly! She told me about their health care club that is SUCH a great program! Listen, if you don't have health insurance or your insurance is out of state, sign up for this program! For a single person, it's $45 a month for unlimited urgent care visits. No contract. Nothing! It's a fantastic program that makes healthcare affordable! For families, I believe it's only $110 a month! It covers STD tests, colds, well care visits for men and women, rashes, minor injuries (cuts, bruises, sprains, burns, falls, etc), headaches and migraines, nausea, and ear infections. And tons of other things. I hope more urgent care centers follow suit cause this makes healthcare affordable. :) Definitely check out this place if you're close by or a snow bird though. The only "con" is their is a bit of a wait...so be patient. HOWEVER, it's totally worth it because I believe the wait is how it is because you're actually going to see a real physician. AND he's great at being concerned about really getting you well. So it's really worth it cause you know you're going to actually have someone who cares about fixing the problem AND knows how to. :) read more

The device is prescription only and now we're stuck over a weekend not able to get his rescue inhaler into him. It should be illegal to not be clear about pricing. I went in expecting to just pay my copay - little did I know I was going to be nickel and dimes for everything even tests that you can get for free in other clinics - they don't tell you that because they want our money and that's it. I came in for chest congestion assuming I caught what my roommate had which was diagnosed bronchitis. Doctor said chest was treatable with antibiotics. The doctor did not say the covid test would cost me $55 but simply said "in this day and age we should definitely do it too". I work with kids so I thought it was okay but to be whacked with a $93 bill on my way out made me feel like I had been taken advantage of- like did they even bill my insurance? I've never walked out of urgent care paying more than my deductible especially when I wasn't warned the cost of services beforehand. thank goodness I did not take the chest x-ray he suggested or special coughing medicine when I am barely coughing.... I hate going places that want to rack up a big bill. Won't be coming back. Edit can't believe it - the $93 did not even include the $55 covid test. I took a tumble and rolled my ankle. I arrived at urgent care 10 minutes prior to closing. The entire staff were amazing. From the moment I limped in the door the staff were wonderful! Very kind and compassionate. I was treated by Kate Dodson PA-C. I cannot say enough about the quality of care and treatment. She is very thorough and explained everything about my injuries and treatment in a clear manner. I was in a great deal of pain but she made the entire visit as comfortable as possible. My X-ray tech was also extremely nice and took great care to make me as comfortable as possible while taking X-rays of my very swollen ankle. I think his name was Corey. I have had 2 visits to this clinic over the last six months both due to upper respiratory problems. My last visit was yesterday. Definitely I would recommend this facility. The wait time was short..a big plus..as I was sick Probably I was in and out within 35-45 minutes. From the front desk to the back office things went very smoothly. Extremely different to get an answer from anyone! I took my teenager here for a condition that needed immediate attention, hence the urgent care. Ten phone calls it took to find out about how long it was going to take for a lab test? Really? And then I had to fight with them to get a note for school! My child was in extreme pain and vomiting in the exam room (and explained to the doc that had been the case for the four days since previous visit), I don't know I guess this is the mom speaking but I feel like these ppl don't gave a crap about anything we were saying. I could understand if we we're in there asking for pain killers or some other hot button topic, not the case here. If you're to go to these people you better stick to physicals. read more

I brought my 90 year old mother here for a bad cut on her forearm. We waited about 10 minutes. The triage nurse saw her first and then Danielle (sp) fixed her wound. Danielle took the time to thoroughly clean the wound and wrapped it securely, all the time telling my mom what was going on. She spent a lot of time fixing the arm, which made my mom calm. Mom went back today and saw Kay to have the wound checked and was told that she is healing well. I have also been treated here and always received superb care. read more

Very disappointed in the lack of thorough care given here. My son came in with multiple symptoms stating there were existing cases of both strep and the flu on his sports team. The Dr simply walked in, looked at him, no tests done and he was told he had strep. Sent home with a script for amoxicillin and after three days of no reprieve we're at the dr again to be properly treated. This cost him his last weekend of high school sports and a state tournament that everyone dreams of being in. How hard would it have been to just do a test and make sure you're treating the right issue? I don't want to be treated by a Dr who simply "assumes". I am pretty sure it is not a state law to refuse care to a person who was just in a pretty big car accident. My husband is still is shot after a truck slammed into him, we got our car towed, and went to this urgent care center 15 minutes before they closed, the young dark-haired man refused care, he said if you are in a car accident in the state of Florida, you can not go to a doctor until you call YOUR insurance company and get a claim number, I told him I can pay cash and they refused us service., Is this legal, seems sketchy to me? I was visiting the area and became quite ill. I walked into AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care and the waiting time was negligible. The receptionist was lovely and the doctor was very nice. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and had to travel back to the west coast 3 days later. He prescribed antibiotics and cough medicine and told me exactly what to do as the bronchitis this year is very severe. I was quite pleasantly surprised when then called a couple of days later to check on me and to make sure I was improving. I was very, very impressed and my insurance covered everything! read more

Service was polite. Congested and stuffy nose. Gave me an EKG? Then a med-4pk prednisone. No examination of nose. Listened to chest. No chest X-ray. Found out I cannot take the med-4pk - developed a large bump on tongue and open sore on lip. Anyway, I had gone to them on Tuesday, started meds on Wednesday, found lump on tongue Thursday morning....I called them to say I needed to stop the medicine and could they call in another medication to help me. Told message would be given to PA who took care of me. No call back, so called again Friday - she has the message and will call you before the end of the day. That was last week - today is Wednesday and, right, no call. Guess it is all about the money. They want me to come back in for another chunk of money. Going out of town, so will visit Urgent Care where I am going. But this place is off my list. Someone told me Mease Medical Arts has an urgent care. Had cold symptoms and earache Doctor K said I have a buildup of earwax. So the assistant "removed the wax", the doctor checked and praised his good work. Ear ache got worst, a couple of days later went to ENT doctor he moved a ton of Ear wax that should have been removed in the AFC clinic. ENT doctor removed it with fine tweezers and said that the way the wax was attempted to be removed pushed it even further in, that explained why the pain got worst. I've had a skin tag on my eyelid for a while. It really annoyed me - it was hard to put on make-up and I saw it every time I looked in the mirror. I wanted it gone, but am terrified of anyone doing anything around my eyes. I finally got my nerve up and went to Doctors Express to have it removed. My daughter teased me about how nervous I was...until Dr. Kwiat came in. He thoroughly explained everything that would happen and joked with me really calming my nerves. Before I knew it, it was over. He told me to expect some bruising as that happens when you work around the eye area - but, it never even bruised. I am so glad to have it gone & am so thankful to have someone really take their time with me and not just rush to get me back out the door. ..and then 2 weeks later, I somehow managed to jabbed my own nail into that same eye. We were moving in 3 days and I would be driving across country - what luck! But, I knew just where to go - especially because it was the weekend and my only other choice would have been the ER where I would have waited forever and I can't even imagine what the bill would have been. Once again, everyone was so incredibly nice. The doctor took such good care of me and calmed my nerves..again. My eye was healed before I had to start the long drive (so glad I didn't have to wait until Monday to be seen!) Doctors Express has taken such great care of me and my family on many occasions. Terrible experience and I don't recommend AFC urgent care clinic. Went today with my 9 month old grandson who was visiting from out of state. He had an obvious case of pink eye which had been at his daycare. The doctor refused to see him relaying through the front desk clerk he was uncomfortable seeing a patient under 18 months. There was no info on web site about this. Additionally when asked where we might go as we had no local doctors, they had no helpful advice and quite obviously didn't care. Lack of compassion, caring and refusal to treat make this a clinic I would strongly recommend you do NOT ago to. read more
