I bought a rain barrel & some fuel drums from Baytec. And as when I've purchased from them before, this trip was also a very pleasant experience. All the staff were very nice to me, and were good at helping me to find everything that I needed, including a special request lid. I can easily recommend them for anyone wanting barrels, drums or accessories. My next trip to Baytec will also include a couple of RV propane tank refills as well. read more

I spent a considerable sum of money on five gallon buckets and airtight , sealer lids. Upon installation , one of the lids broke and when I contacted the company for a replacement all I got was a bad attitude and a lot of lip! It's a family owned company and I guess they feel like they don't have to account for customer satisfaction. Not only will I buy from a competitor in the future.But I would never suggest this company for any purchase.No matter how good the product simply because the customer service sucks! Accurate pricing and shipping estimates. estimated shipping cost was just over $15. They readjusted it to over $100 shipping. All they did was send out an email no phone call notification or anything which was overlooked seven days later they still haven't shipped it. I called and they said they had to readjust the shipping. It would be approximately $100 for cardboard tubes. My company would've never estimated for this cost. I believe they under price the order and we're trying to make up for it on shipping. Be very careful of this company when I spoke to them they were very rude and short and did not care about the customer. read more

Horrible company. Ridiculous shipping charges. They billed $140 to ship the packages to me, and then I get an EXTRA invoice of $150+. So almost $300 to ship? I can literally ship a motorcycle or small car for that price, we're talking about some boxes they can tape together. Dumb company. Bad customer service in general. Lady who answered the phone was not great at communicating. AND this company has the gall to try to use their phone calls to customer service as a sales funnel for some other BS company. Customer service was very rude. It is not a hassle-free return process as stated on their website. Spoke with both the CSR and Manager. The manager would not let you speak. He over spoke everything every time we tried to speak. As a Village that orders from several places for equipment for our water and sewer departments. I do not recommend this company. First of all, this company is actually called BayTec Containers. I don't know why they're listed under Propane & Firewood on Yelp. That is strange in itself. I would not recommend this business in a million years. I purchased a Gas container online. The price was clearly marked on the web site. I made the purchase and received the confirmation email. The next day, I receive an email with an invoice for an additional $13.61. I called the company to ask about the invoice and was told there was an increase in price from the manufacturer. What kind of company does not have current prices reflected on their national web site. I mean, I wouldn't but something from Home Depot or Target or Walmart online, and then get billed for more money. I told them I wanted to cancel my order. They had already take the money from my bank account, but after the cancellation, I noticed the money had not been refunded to me. I called again and was told it take 5 business days to get the money back. So, they are super quick to take your money, just like molasses in giving it back. That is poor customer service if you ask me. There are PLENTY of places online selling the same item. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE, DECEIVING, TRICKY CROOKS. This place is a joke! I found a salvage drum on their site and contacted sales to verify the dimensions and uses for this drum. I explained thoroughly what I needed this drum for and the sales rep told me that it would be perfect for that. It arrives. NOT AT ALL the same dimensions or GOOD for what i specifically stated I needed it for because it tapers in way smaller all the way down. I call the company to find out what the issue is, I am treated like my business doesn't matter because I only bought one drum and "not a truck load". I speak to a manager/supervisor and she's just as condescending as the rep I spoke to before her. I show her all the emails between myself and the sales rep and she still is reluctant on even acknowledging that I was mislead. Wants to charge me $50 more on top of the $50 I spent on getting it shipped, a 20% restocking fee with a nasty attitude on the side. Mind you, this drum was $75.00. They have lost their minds.
