There is no sense of urgency in this place, I spent there two hours, and their services as listed on the website are misleading. I primarily selected this facility as its website advertises an X-ray on site and once I got there I was informed that they would have to refer me to another place in Five towns to get an X-ray. Since I was there, I figured that we might at least check out if an X-ray is even needed and have covid test done. Between entering the office and waiting in the office to be seen, there was only one customer in the waiting room (I guess all the medical offices must have been full), the wait was excruciating. The NP was extremely pleasant and engaging, he had his way with children easing my child's worry. Good place to get tested for covid as that went quite smoothly but not if you need an X-ray or consultation on whether one is needed.

I went back the next morning (because it is impossible to reach anyone in this office on the phone) to ask them to send the prescription to the pharmacy. They had me sit there for 20 mins before I asked them if it were necessary for me to stay there, which it was not, they called in the prescription finally and told me to leave and they would call me back when the swab was in later that afternoon. I left and immediately got a call from them telling me not to take the antibiotic they prescribed until after the swab was complete (almost 24 hours after the antibiotic shot) which I thought was bad medical advice, so I took it anyway. They called me later that afternoon to tell me to take the medication as prescribed and come back in 3 days for the swab if symptoms persist (thankfully I already began taking it so as to not miss the morning dose, since it needs to be taken 2x per day). They were willing to keep me sick for an extra day because they did not have proper supplies to do basic and routine testing. Would travel far to go to another location.

This is the only Urgent Care I've ever been to and others really need to take notes. It's super clean, wait time is super short maybe like 3 people max ahead of you (today i only had 1 person before me, a child) , the Dr takes their time with you giving you everything he thinks will improve your health and never rushes through your time. No appointment is needed, insurance covers your visit and they're super friendly and kind from the second you walk in. Today I woke up No voice, throat on fire coughing out green slime. I got a IV boost with vitamins (saline IV is covered (depending on your insurance of cours) and the boost is a tiny fee less then your lunch !! I also got a B12 boost added and for the throat he sprayed Decadron which OMGGGG takes the throat pain away in 15 min and lasts 2 days (where has it been all my lifeeee) I did Testing for everything Flu, Strep, Covid Had my lungs checked, blood pressure. My insurance company told me that I needed to resolve the issue directly with the urgent care facility, not the lab company that they use. When I called this urgent care to quickly resolve the issue, I was given the runaround saying that no one could help me via phone and told that I needed to prepare a detailed written statement after which I'll likely be bounced around some more with no resolution. Do yourself a favor and go to CityMD by Queensboro Plaza instead. They have much better such service and a customer support team that's actually helpful.

It was the worst thing ever and I was not able to function at all...I dragged my corpse to see Dr. Chen and he diagnosed me with vestibular neuritis. He prescribed meclizine and started treating me with acupuncture. The acupuncture really helped with the dizziness and I started feeling better after a week. When I finally got an appointment to see a specialist at NYU they confirmed it was neuritis. My 4 y/o daughter was playing with her grandfather and he pulled her arm and partially dislocate her elbow (nursemaid's elbow). We weren't able to get her an appointment at her pediatrician, but luckily Dr. Chen able to treat her and move it back in place. I've also gotten acupuncture with Dr. Chen for pregnancy weight loss and also chronic neck/back pain from sitting and working on a computer all day. Aside from how good Dr. Chen is, I've been to a few other urgent cares in the neighborhood, and in all honesty, is one by far the best and the cleanest. They also call you the next day to check up on you.

Let me go grab my glasses.....so I get there, and I'm called to the back, did some urine and gave them 4 vials of blood. I was going through it so I had them test me for a couple of things, but I also asked for an STD screening because I also haven't had one in about 6 or so months. Now....I already have wild fears about doing any kind of testing but especially STD testing. Called the next day for my result and this vile creature told me that I'm infected with the big ole herpes. Now as a medical professional...did I do any vaginal swabs? I came here to get covid tested because a few people I know tested positive for Covid. I made an…read moreappointment online for my covid test but I still had to wait an hour. The waiting room was packed and people were waiting outside also. Covid testing was free through insurance which was nice and they make you wait for your results in the office. They need to have a better system when they call the name because it was super hard to hear if you are waiting outside. Also, the staff looked overworked. They need more staff and better organization. I liked that they have a parking lot but FYI this is really not Howard Beach. They are really in East New York not Howard Beach!
