I've been here so many times, with so many different names. I finally made my return to the summer music fest for the MMRBQ with my nine-year old nephew for his first concert. The venue looked the same, but different... Does that make sense? I still remember where I saw amazing side stage concerts there for past Ozzfests. Those areas are now places to get alcohol. Overall, this was one of the best concerts I've been to. Not sure if it was a just a more chill environment than the metal concerts I'm used to, but I loved it. I usually want to be close, but I enjoyed sitting on the lawn and I can't believe I was allowed to bring in a large jug of water. I still remember all these years ago when I threw all of my "game" at this really cute concession stand worker to get free water. She couldn't give me a water bottle, but she gave me three empty cups, which was just as good for the water fountains. It was even better than her phone number, because I didn't even ask for that, until driving home... Called the venue and they wouldn't connect me... So sad... Seriously, as a poor high schooler, I remember having to fake heat exhaustion, just to get free water bottles and a place to lie down in the air conditioning. Even smuggling in a screw bottle cap, so if you buy a bottle, you can refill it, since they always throw those caps away. We had to be creative, but now you can even refill water bottles in bottle fountains. The time have changed and for the better. You have to stay hydrated for a good time. read more

The only good part of this venue is that they get great acts. That is it. Get ready to listen to some sad music on your ride home. Go home, take a nap, have a good cry about the crap you witness here. Because that's how I feel by the time I leave this venue. let's start from the top. For some background, I attended the 92.5 Chris young show with my fiancé. We are in our 20's. PART 1:) getting to the dump It's the day of your concert. You're eager to get there. You would think entering the concert wouldn't be so bad... nope. Driving into the parking lot IS HORRRRIBLLLLLLEEE!!!!! Traffic is backed up for miles. And people cut in line. Like actually drive around your car. And then there are drunken idiots who get out of their cars in the streets. And drink while waiting to get inside. And watch these kids get into their cars, while drinking loads of alcohol and beer while in the drivers seat. Upsetting to say the least. We even had this group of kids spill beer all over our car then giggle about it. Yup this actually happened. I took a photo of what we witnessed. Blurring out the people since I don't know them. But wanted you to witness it too. We got there at 12:45 pm. Parking lots opened at 1pm. We got in there 2pm. Then you get into the parking lot. Where they charge a whopping 40 dollars for parking. Oh but get this. The parking lot is bad too. Camden is scary. You may have heard Camden is a bad area... well.. let me tell you...ITS A REALLY BAD AREA. They need more police officers because I witnessed so many drugged out homeless people just walking through the parking lot. Running towards concert goers begging for money throughout the tailgate It was actually very scary. I witnessed a group of kids in broad daylight have a homeless guy yell at them and take their beer.... ok.... moral of the story.. be careful. You are never safe here. Do not let your guard down. Cops and security are more focused on busting out of control tailgates. These guys hide through the cracks. You are not safe. Then, when getting inside, security is always a bad experience. Not sure why but they have the meanest people working security and tickets. They are always impatient. Once you've had a few drinks from the tailgate you may move a little slower than usual. But damn, they talked to me and my fiancé like we were children. PART 2.) security sucks Let's walk inside. We are past security. (45 minutes later.... )Away from the scary parking lot. All you want is a cold drink and They are charging 12 bucks a beer. Ok fine. Whatever. Take advantage of drunk idiots. I'll just buy my beer. We bought seats instead of the lawn because the lawn... the lawn sucks.... but that's a conversation for another day. Just be careful out there.Anyway, now they have stupid policy where you can't bring cans into the lower seats. I still don't know why. And you can only bring plastic cups. So after buying your beer they stop you and force you while walking in to pour your beer into a cup. Losing a good majority of it. Making it a painful and awkward walk back. WHY EVEN SELL THEM IN CANS???? Like pour them into cups from the start. PART 3.) what's wrong with people Finally get to your seat. And it's a great view. But the people around you can be so rude, drunk, and downright awful. Everyone stands the whole time. Which doesn't make sense. And people bump into you if you try to sit down. Bathrooms are always disgusting. Lines are ridiculously long. And half the time somebody is puking in there. Save your money and please see your concert somewhere else. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars, is because they actually get good shows here. That is it. Otherwise, RUN FAR AWAY!!!!!!!! FAR FAR FAR AWAY read more

Freedom Mortgage Pavillion Went to the recent Earth Wind and Fire / Santana concert at the Freedom Mortgage Pavillion. The concert was awesome but the venue was not. After purchasing tickets we were nickeled and dimed for everything. 40.00 to park is unacceptable. 10.00 to rent a chair for lawn seating you can't bring your own. A small water ice 9.00. The price gouging left a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be returning. read more

If you're brave enough to traipse into Camden to hear some music, you may or may not have a good time at the BB&T Pavilion. First, the good: despite its size, which is pretty large, it feels like an intimate venue, with the small stage and close seating. Speaking of seating; don't like the cramped chairs, get a lawn seat! The venue is totally outdoors, but the stage and seating areas are covered. Beyond that is a large lawn where you can post up if you are so inclined. Unfortunately, thats pretty much it for the positives. The bad: of course, price is first and foremost. seats are expensive here. Not only that, it was $30 to park INSANELY far from the venue. It was seriously like 3/4 of a mile away. It was over $45 for two drinks. While its cool to have the option to have a seat or sit on the lawn, the covered seating is CRAMPED. They absolutely pack you in, and once the action starts, everyone stands, so you can't even use the actual SEAT you paid an arm and a leg for. Also, in the seating area, the HVAC system constantly dripped on us. (we even had our first seats moved because of this, only to be dripped on at our next seats.) Keep your ticket on you like it has the antidote on it. You will have your ticket checked 5 times before you get to your seat, plus 3 more times every time you decide to get up from your seat. All that said, I had a blast watching Chris Stapleton here last Saturday. The sound was great (the bass is a LITTLE much due to the covered seating making it reverberate) and there were huge tvs to each side of the stage to catch close ups and details I couldn't see from my seat. This is a great outdoor venue! Parking is pricey and it's worth getting here early to tailgate! The sound is amazing here! We have gone to a few concerts here and have enjoyed every experience here! I'm looking forward to going again we have made memories here and are excited to make more! The people are usually quite friendly depending on the concert you are attending. I've had the opportunity to watch shows from both inside the pavilion as well as on the lawn, both of which were both enjoyable in their own right (especially after considering that the two shows were each a far cry with respect to their respective genres). I've been an audience member of the Oddball comedy festival the last four years... spectating from the lawn; more recently I attended deadmau5's "lots of shows in a row" tour, with standing room in the general admission pit. Each show was spectacular (especially the latter), but the venue itself does suffer a few pitfalls. First... the lawn: it's pretty nice to enjoy the great outdoors and watch what's going on stage. Luckily, there are jumbo-trons affixed to each side of the stage, so if you't see the performer, you can always just direct your attention to the screen; sound projection is also satisfactory (which is important... seeing as how what comes out of a comedian's mouth is more important than how they look). One of the problems with the lawn though is that when there isn't a show going on, it appears that geese use it as their own personal potty ground. There is goose s#it all over the lawn, and it's not like the venue provides complimentary lawn chairs. So you'll likely have to subject a picnic cloth/beach towel/blanket to the camouflaged waterfowl fecal matter. As for the GA pit... it is likely the most shallow standing room pit area I've had the opportunity to stand in. Luckily, the deadmau5 fans run on the more chill side of the electronic dance music spectrum... so it was actually relatively easy to wiggle our ways to a nice center view of the Cube (as seen from my pictures); nevertheless it is not an ideal situation, especially when considering that pit tickets are typically pricier than stadium seats. Last of all, the jacked up parking prices for the pavilion are disgusting. One time parking for $30 is one of the most shameless price gauges I've ever seen. And you really don't have much of a choice than to pay the piper. You may be able to Uber into Camden in a relatively convenient fashion... but it's a crap shoot getting out the same way (most of the Ubers would come from Philly anyway, so you'll be twiddling your thumbs for a while before somebody was able to pick you up). All in all, it is a serviceable venue... but unless it's a must see act (or if you can get a bunch of people to split a car... you could certainly do better elsewhere. read more

I came here for a few concerts and they seem to consistently have problems with the bathrooms and the sound. There are always ridiculously long lines for the bathrooms whether or not it's a intermission or during a performance. I understand it's difficult to accommodate large numbers of people but perhaps adding a few more porta pottys would help. For some reason the speakers for the lawn never seem like they are on. If you can clearly hear a conversation from a group 10' back the speakers are not loud enough. Like Godsmack says "turn that shit up louder!!!" read more

I've literally been coming here since the very first concert they ever held here which was also the very first concert I've ever attended, Bon Jovi in 1996. It's been 20 years of hundreds of shows here. I've made truly incredible (and sometimes super crazy) memories at this place and that's the primary reason for the higher star rating. I've seen the place evolve and change names a zillion times. Who even knows what the heck to call it anymore? It's always a mouthful. It's been The Sony Blockbuster Entertainment Center, The Susquehanna Bank Center, Tweeter, even just The "E" Center. You'll hear the locals just say "over in Camden". Artists who know what's up say "How you doing Philly?" because they know no one from Camden actually attends. NEIGHBORHOOD: You will probably be harassed by scalpers and people selling tee shirts on your walk to the actual venue. Ignore them and hold your purse close. Don't be scared though, just be smart. I've come here many a times alone, at night and have never had an issue from the neighbors. I've even parked my car on the streets of Camden and it's never been broken into nor have I had any trouble of any kind. There are usually Camden cops around and they are super nice. You will also find cheap pretzels and bottles of water strolling the streets which always make for a good post show sobering up find. PARKING: Parking is a crap shoot. Unless you tailgate super early and score a spot in the lot under the Ben Franklin Bridge by Campbell's Field and Adventure Aquarium, you'll probably get stuck in a crappy lot and by that I mean not much partying so depending on the type of person you are, this may or may not be a good thing. There's also a secure garage near the aquarium, but to me that's taking away from the entire concert experience. Parking can cost anywhere from $10-$30. I've paid every price. The $30 nights are definitely ridiculous and leave you a bit bitter. An Uber from the city will cost the same and you don't have to deal with traffic in and out of the lots and on the streets because there absolutely will be some. DRINKS: Their beer selection has vastly improved!! Now you can find different stands strictly carrying specific brands such as Brooklyn and 21st Amendment etc. which will be less crowded than the bigger stands with variety. You WILL absolutely get carded. No matter what. Brews are expensive!! A 20oz of craft can cost you just under $15. FOOD: It's insanely overpriced as you may expect. $9 for a piece of pizza which my hubby hated to admit but was actually good. We usually splurge on Chickies Fries because really, who can resist that smell? Usually the longest line though. LAWN: I've sat in vomit, I've lost flip flops in the mud, I've been in torrential downpour, I've seen people fight, roll down hills, people sneaking in and peoole nursing. Anything goes. Bring blankets you don't care about. DO NOT sit against the back walls! That's where the drunk dudes go to pee! -The stage view and sound on the lawn isn't awful. Not the greatest, but not terrible. The big screens definitely help. -If lawn seats are all you can afford or if there's a group of you, it can really be a blast! Live music on a gorgeous summer night...nothing like it!! -There are a few select concessions at the back ends of the lawn for quick fixes. -The view of Philly from this side of the river and the sunset you can watch from the lawn and the deck over the Ben Franklin Bridge and the city are breathtaking! Make sure you go see it! SEATS: There's really no "bad seats". All have a great view of the stage. Sound is killer and yes, it gets hot and sticky. They do ask to check tickets many times but just think, if you were that person who paid an arm & a leg for your awesome seats, would you want to be the one who has to kick someone out of them because no one checked their ticket and they snuck up? SECURITY: For the most part, they're young kids with summer jobs who blush when they frisk you which they definitely do upon arrival. Sometimes it's a tad more in depth than others depending on the show. I've had my bra snapped in the front ladies! They have the occasional "Alcohol Enforcement" patrolling the lawn which you just laugh at as he walks by. For the most part, I've had little interaction with them. RESTROOMS: Gross and extremely long lines. What are you gonna do? The ones inside are definitely better and the ones to the right side when looking at the stage are the lesser of two evils. Men, don't try to pee in the bushes! You will get caught. It's not pretty for anyone involved or around! TOUR BUSES: You can easily see them when walking on the side of the venue. You can sneak peeks at your favorite artist!! Some will even come to the gate and chat. Some may even invite you backstage or onto the bus. (Covers eyes. Pleads the 5th) Seriously, it's not the greatest venue by a long shot, but you can have years of amazing memories here. Make the best of it read more

So I have been hating on this venue for years. The sound was always horrible on the lawn and the screens were dull and it was just not a good experience considering how much you pay. HOWEVER, they have since but in new speakers and new screens and it has gotten a LOT better, at least for the people on the lawn. The parking has gone up which really sucks and makes me not want to go to live nation venues if they are going to charge $40 for parking. The annoying part of this was that the lots were empty and they were charging that much. The food and drink inside is ungodly expensive but that's to be expected. The point of this reviews is that the actual sound of the music has gotten a lot better and I am very happy about that. read more

I just wanted to give a quick update to my last review regarding food. I still stand with saying that this venue is great! I was here this past weekend for the Radio 104.5 Birthday show. Since the show was super long we decided to have dinner here. I was utterly shocked that they had the Impossible Burger on the menu here for a reasonable price of $13. Everywhere else I have eaten the Impossible Burger it has been the same price or more. I stoked that this venue is catering to vegans and vegetarians with such a delicious option. Just make sure you add ketchup before heading back to your seat (or the lawn!). read more

BB&T Pavilion. Susquehanna Bank Center. The E Center. Whatever you call it, it's still the mediocre venue in Camden. Taking Camden out of the equation, which is still hard when you take into account any sort of travel logistics, there are still dozens, upon dozens of venues where I'd rather go to see a concert. It's large and lacks any sort of intimacy, unless you are lucky enough to score a decent seat in the covered section. The lawn is huge, on a vast incline and is fairly far away from the stage. Unfortunately, the projector screens are on the smaller side too. You'd get a better experience staying at home and catching clips on YouTube. Unless you like to hang out with a lot of drunk, underage kids that is. Again it's unfortunate that this is the major concert circuit for Philadelphia and where a lot of the major acts play. I try to avoid it like the plague, but there are just too many great bands playing the summer of 2016. I was actually a little surprised and impressed by the beer selection. Maybe "impressed" is the wrong word. We can replace that with "shocked" that they have more than just the lite beers. There were booths for Yards, Dogfish Head, Flying Fish, Riverhorse and a handful of others. I didn't check out the pricing or selections, that will definitely play an impact in my overall thoughts of the craft beer experience. In any case, good beer is just a fringe benefit. The artist is the sole reason I would ever step foot into that venue, or Camden in that matter. Dear Musical Artists: the Fillmore is right across the river. The Mann Center isn't too far from there. What a rip off! I paid $10 extra per ticket for the "fast lane" to get in sooner, and they literally let the people who didn't pay extra in at the same time as us. Some of them even before us! I even asked the employee when it was time for the gates to open if we would be let in first and she said yes. That was a lie. read more

While the venue itself is great and much nicer than some I've been to, the reason for the low reviews is due to the staff and operations at the venue. I have never seen ushers so rude and confrontational to concert attendees before in all the shows I've been to. I completely understand when the guests are rowdy and not following rules, but this was not the case. Everyone I saw was simply trying to enjoy the show and the ushers truly seemed to be on a power trip trying to get as many people kicked out as possible for things as silly as stepping in the aisle while dancing. The ushers didn't bother me or my group at all but just seeing what they were doing to so many other innocent people really ruined the night for me. Also it took over 25 minutes to go through the doors and security. I've been to many concerts and have never seen a back-up of people quite like this. I likely won't be back here as the staff and operations of the venue really ruin the overall experience of the concert you're seeing. read more

Venue was good, enjoyed reserved lawn seating for Chris Stapleton concert-which was excellent. The MAJOR drawback was parking and the obvious absence of police and/or pavilion personnel to guide and facilitate traffic flow. We waited in standstill traffic outside of pavilion for 80 minutes and we had paid for VIP parking. When we finally reached the lot the parking was fine. Live Nation, Camden police where are you when thousands of people are driving into the area in a few hour time span? Will not attend this venue again, as I've attended many events with over 100,000 people in attendance where traffic was handled flawlessly and in comparison this was a disaster solely attributed to nonexistent traffic management. read more

We flew to Philly to see Dead and Co for two nights at the BB&T Pavilion. The pavilion was a 1-star experience both nights. The band was amazing, but long story short, on night 1 the sound quality was terrible despite the fact that we were pretty close to the stage (in the covered section, but off to the side). The person in front of us had his hands cupped around his ears to try to hear better. On night 2 we were on the lawn, directly in the center and as close as possible, and the sound quality was better, but then it started to rain and the pavilion ended the show halfway through despite the fact that our tickets said rain or shine. I'd do anything I could to avoid the BB&T Pavilion in the future. read more

"Lawn Chairs To reduce contact with guest belongings and for security reasons, no outside Lawn Chairs will be allowed into the building. For most shows, Lawn chairs are available for rent for $10.00 per chair and must be turned in at the end of the event. For your safety and convenience, outside lawn chairs are no longer permitted." read more

Excellent venue. The food was very good, & all the staff was friendly and helpful. The rest rooms were clean and readily available. The bars were plentiful and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Overall a great atmosphere and a wonderful place to see a live performance. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Still smiling and feeling the jams from last nights concert! Dave Mason rocked it first, singing some old Traffic when he was 18 years old. excellent performance. Next the Doobie Brothers ( who I came to see ) came on. Jamming the house @ BB&T Center. Great show they did not disappoint , as they belted out some classics! Next up was Journey and the new lead singer. Rocked the house also, with guitar solos and drum solos my personal favorites. I seen Journey back in the early 80's so was not impressed with the singing now. But give credit to the young guy trying to fill Steve Perry's shoes. Next concert up was Luke Bryan : Kill the lights tour with Dustin Lynch who was up first to get things started. Country jams the crowd enjoyed belted out to get things going. Next up was Little Big Town who delighted the standing room only crowd on the lawn. Playing a fan favorite "Girl Crush" that the ladies in attendance sang in unison. Luke Bryan up last to a sold out second night. The young mostly female crowd danced while adding to the overall concert experience. High energy crowd and show that the rain could not scare away. BB&T needs to do a better job of taking care of the lawn( read, cut the grass please ). Regardless of this check it out for a good time. read more

I just saw the Weezer concert at this venue. I had lawn tickets and was not in the pavilion but it was a good show. Maybe I can get seats next time. The sound is pretty good. The only issue is the neighborhood and the parking price. It cost $20-$30 dollars for parking. The less you pay the more you walk. There are some good places to eat here like Tony Luke's and Chickie's and Pete's but that's expensive too. Overall if you are not opposed to forking out a little this is a good place to see a good show. read more

I have been coming here for years to see Dave Matthews Band pretty much and as much as I LOVE Dave Matthews band I think I want to find a new venue to see him. This place is just not good and here's why. So usually we stay in Philadelphia near Penn's Landing and take the Ferry over. The Ferry costs $11 RT on concert nights which isn't bad but man the ferry is sooooooooooooooooooo slow. They only run one and by the time they unload it, load it, go across, and do this all over again. You could be in for a long wait unless you go early and leave early. This time we decided to uber over and ferry back. The uber was only about $10 but boy does it make you realize what a crappy city Camden NJ is. Another option is a commuter train from Philly and we saw where that would dump you out and its scary to be honest. So we get in our uber and arrive at the venue from a different end than we usually do from the ferry. There were beggers all over asking us for money and swearing and there was a guy riding his bike in circles around us just bugging us for some change and then he fell off his bike and his spam and some beer went rolling out of his bag and he started yelling F*&$ you F*&$ you! and kicking his bike and kicking the ground. Then we got into the line to get in and that part was annoying because we were being hassled by people trying to sell tickets, stragglers from tailgating chugging the rest of their beers, and just complete chaos. The security line was so slow so we literally stood in this for like 15 minutes. Once we were in there's plenty of places to get food and drink but man is it expensive. I've been to many concert venues and expect to pay a premium for drinks but to pay $15 for a can of domestic beer is rape. I tried a spiked seltzer and paid $16 for it and I could buy 2 6 packs for that. ICK. The restrooms are clean and they do pipe the music throughout so if you happen to be literally caught with your pants down when "your" song comes on you can still hear it and know you need to book it back to your seat. I've been in all sorts of seats, a VIP section, the field, but not the pit. The VIP section wasn't worth it for me. "our own bar and bathroom" required us to leave the area walk across an outside area and into another tent. Too much effort for VIP when servers are walking around the regular sections. I would NEVER do the field again. People just get obnoxious up there and they have no issue stomping on your blankets or kicking their beers on your head. We were in section 104 this time and that was really great for me. Close to everything. We always have to leave during the encore to get to the ferry in time otherwise we'd be sitting there all night. And maybe I don't want to always miss the encore. But parking my car there isn't an option after seeing what I saw. I am sure uber would be a surge. So that's the best option to get out of there without an issue. Anyway a trip here to see a concert ends up being a very expensive and not totally fulfilling experience so I think I need to move on to see Dave. read more

Bring a blanket or sheet and get there early! Parking is $30. Pros: If you bring chairs make sure they are the low "beach chairs" for the lawn. It's great for a nice summer evening. Good selection of beer. The sound was ok but depends how far away you are on the lawn. Barely saw the stage but the jumbo screens were plentiful :) We didn't have any food. Cons: The porto-potties are horrendous. No light and filthy. No sanitizer so bring your own. Avoid if possible! Traffic to get back on the bridge is a nightmare. I think we will try what many have mentioned- take river line or patco and avoid parking and traffic. Overall, will come back to enjoy summer concerts here! read more

BB&T is my favourite music venue. Its simply beautiful. Lawn section is cool and also seated space with a roof over your head is nice especially when its raining. There isn't a bad seat in this venue. I have been here few years back attending Slayer and King Diamond concert and past Sunday attending Judas Priest and Deep Purple. I had a blast. Only things I wasn't a fan of was $40 parking (it was 7 of us so damage was minimal) and $15 beer (I was high so passed on that too lol). Overall great spot to see your band if you take Uber and come drunk or high. read more

A very large venue (seats 25000) means very long rows. Overall a decent venue with tons of options for food and drink. I didn't use the bathroom but I did notice that the lines were very long but they seemed to go pretty quickly. Located in a really nice part of Camden and has a great view of the water. Not too much around as far as the neighborhood goes. Parking was $30 for the concert at a nearby lot which was convenient but a little pricey. Overall a good venue. read more

Yes, the rumors are true. This venue is over-the-top expensive. They charge so much for food and drink that it borders on embarrassing. There's a reason people tailgate so hard in the lot prior to the show. As far as the lot goes, it's pretty disgraceful. You're on the edge of Camden. Just as shady and scary a city as there really is in America. They try to pretty up the waterfront area and make it look nice, but the riffraff locals sneak through. They panhandle, say lewd things and generally intimidate you until you are in the confines of the lot. The lot is also very expensive, and the line to park your car is poorly managed. You can chose to take the ferry from Philadelphia. This will offer some shield from the Camden locals. However, while no fault of the venue, that is poorly run as well. The actual ride is a very short trip. Roughly 10 minutes. However rather than run the ferry constantly (every half hour would be easily doable) they choose to run it hourly. They have no interest in making it efficient for the people. So, unless you're willing to skip the encore of the show and head to the departure ferry early, you'll be waiting until the middle of the night to get back to Philadelphia. You don't like it? Go wander well outside of the venue into beautiful Camden to wait for an Uber, or roll the dice and wander even further to the train station and hope you make it back alive. Note: if you take an Uber to the venue, you'll be dropped off well outside once you hit the line of private vehicle traffic. They don't have the good sense to make a separate Uber pick-up/drop-off zone. For that matter, they haven't thought to make a drop-off zone of any kind to assist with handicapped individuals or special needs of any kind. It's as if they simply don't want to make any effort and are there just to collect your money. Note: Round trip on the ferry is $11 per person. If you have a group of 4 that's $44. If you were to Uber round trip from as far as Center City, the cost would be about a wash (maybe $10-20 more round trip for an Uber--as much as $5 more per person). May be worth it to avoid the hastle. Come to think of it, unless you are walking to and from the ferry from a local waterfront spot, you'll probably wind up paying for some kind of car anyway... you get the point. Any way you do it pretty much is a hassle. Security wasn't terrible. I didn't see anybody getting harassed. They seemed mainly concerned about making sure that no weapons or alcohol bottles were brought inside. However, do go inside on the early side. It tends to be a little slow with too few entrances/staff. If you wait until too close to showtime, you'll be stuck in a high/drunken mob for far too long, frustrated and may possibly miss the start of the show. The lawn is pretty disorganized chaos. At least in the pavilion, with an assigned seat, you can claim your territory. On the lawn, the lack of sobriety is evident and people will walk across your space/blanket haphazardly. It's hard to fault the venue for that. They can't possibly be expected to keep order on that level. However, should a fight break out, they are there in a flash. On other notes, the sound on the lawn has been vastly improved over the years, and there are several large video screens that allow you to see the screen. However, once you get past maybe 1/3 back, sound and video are non existent. One highlight of the lawn is the view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. If you're lucky enough to see a show here near the 4th of July, you'll even see a few fireworks along the Philadelphia skyline. I way prefer the pavilion. The sound and sights are better. There is protection from the elements. However, the middle section (202) is simply too large. If you are in this section and have a middle seat, you have to make your way through quite a crowd to get in/out. If you have to use the restroom or are a bit tipsy this can be a major endeavor. This section needs more of a center isle. The bathrooms are a trek. There are smaller bathrooms inside the concession areas, or there are larger bathrooms on the right and left of the perimeter. It is a LONG walk to get there. Unless you try to go right at the intermission, the wait times are not usually terrible. They are sparkling clean before the show, but they don't do very much to straighten them up during the show. It seems like they wait until the crowd is gone to clean and restock. It's possible that they are doing things during the show. However, it's amazing just how thoughtless and dirty a high/drunken crowd can be. I really enjoy visiting Philadelphia from time to time. As a hardcore NY sports fan it kills me to say that Philly is a GREAT city. That being said, if it's summer time and my favorite band is touring and this is the only "local" venue in which they'll be performing, I'll come again. Otherwise I'll pass. read more

Saw Dead and Company here for a 2nd year. Similar to my previous review, this venue has not been able to win my heart. Though unless you are very picky about your view I'd definitely recommend the lawn seats. I brought a small chair (under 9") and it was much more comfortable than the seating inside the venue. Though most people stand the entire time so you might not be able to see that well if you are sitting down. My biggest complaint this year was it took 40+ min to get into the venue and there was a fight 10 ft in front of me because people cut in line. They should figure out a better way to move people into the venue and ensure that lines are maintained in an orderly fashion, though maybe I sound like an old grumpy man. read more

BB&T Center, now the Freedom Mortgage Pavillion, used to be a great place to see decent level musical acts for reasonable prices and minimal fuss. Cheap tickets, modest parking and relaxed rules for lawn seating. No more!! While ticket prices have grown some, parking has gone through the sun roof. I'm sorry, but $40 is way too much to park in Camden. But what really chaps my butt are the ridiculous new rules about purses, bags, cameras, etc. and especially lawn chairs. As an older person, sitting on a blanket for hours is no longer tolerable so we used to bring our beach chairs and enjoy the show. But now, all chairs are prohibited. But seriously so. Number 1 on the list of prohibited items. Firearms are number 4. But, of course, lawn chairs are available for rent at $15 apiece. They say it's not about the money but I call BS. They are too adamant about bringing your own. So now, a nice evening is now $40 more, a $10 bump for parking and $30 for chairs. Sorry but we bailed on the Styx show and probably all others. read more

I will never see spend money to see concert here again because they do nothing to enforce rules. People standing in non seat areas without any concern for others behind them. It's a free for all. . Staff did nothing ... nothing... to enforce rules. People spend a lot of money to see shows! I would have to risk getting in fight to do what should be done! This will likely trigger some snowflakes, but don't come here if you can't run. We came here for a Chicago concert and, I assumed correctly that they wouldn't let you in with any legally-carried firearms because, you know, in New Jersey, the state seems to like protecting its criminals more than its citizens. Anyway, this place is in Camden, which, is frequently in the top ten most dangerous cities in the US and, I believe, frequently THE most dangerous city in New Jersey. As it happened, it poured this day and taxis and trains and Ubers were non-existent. As in, everything was shut down due to flooding. We had to walk out, through the city, late at night. Turns out, once we had just walked out of sight of the police, we ended up having to outrun getting robbed on the way out. Thankfully, it worked out for us because we were paying attention and were able to beat feet when we needed to. Look, if they want to play dumb and deny legally-carried firearms, fine, they can put their collective and misinformed corporate heads in the sand, but, I will definitely pick a safer place to attend a concert in the future. My recommendation with respect to this place? Have some Plan B to get out of the city, or better still, pick a safer venue to go since they clearly don't care once you've spent your money there and need to get home safely. read more

I've been coming here for years, for good reason. The lawn seats make it affordable and fun to see the best performers. It's great to be able to lay down or stand up and dance without wearing about moving from an assigned seat. One thing that I experienced while seeing Train and Goo Goo Dolls was how nice and friendly the upstairs bartenders were. They were friendly, enthusiastic, funny, and enjoyable to chat with all we are waiting for our drinks. I will always choose this venue for concerts! read more

What a sorry excuse for an outdoor amphitheater. Lets start with the parking. It will cost you a cool $30 to park (and they act like you can pay by credit card is a wonderful thing). As you enter you recieve a two-sided card - one side with all the rules and regulations, the other side with how to park, complete with illustrations. The problem is, NO ONE seeemed to qive a rats rear end and half of the spots were filled with jacka's sitting in chairs and tailgating. Of course, the staff was NOWHERE to be found. Then lets get to the unorganized flow into the facility. Mass pandimonium once the doors offically open, we get in line and wait to go in. I am stopped by a security door guard over a selfie stick. Yea thats right - a wobby, cheap selfie stick which I am told I cant bring inside because its a weapon!!! Are you kidding me???? But they tell me I can go back to my car, drop it off, then get back in line. No thanks. I am sure that guard is enjoying the stick I dropped to the ground. NOTE: DO NOT BRING SELFIE STICKS!!!! Then there is the food.This place makes the airport look affordable. We paid $40 for two burgers (both cold) ,chicken tenders (no fork or knife) and two small waters. Then they had the audacity to suggest I tip on that on my credit card reciept! I didnt even bother to buy a $11 beer ( they had a great selection of microbrews but I can buy a case for the prices of two of these drafts). When we finally go to our seats, there are easily 75-100 robots in LIVE shirts stationed all around the arena. Their main job is to make the concert less enjoyable. One power hungry robot said we couldnt cut across a completly empty row to get to our seats. WHAT THE FLAMBONIUS! Everytime you went to the bathroom,you had to show your ticket TWICE - once to get in AND once to sit! Easily 10-15 times of pulling the ticket out and putting it back. These people are worse the the TSA at the airport. The sound in the auditorium is good but the two video screens look about the size of a TV screen in your house. SPEND SOME OF THE PROFIT ON UPGRADING YOUR TECHNOLOGY Livenation ot Ticketmaster or whoever owns this building. And Ticketmaster/Livenation - you suck too. These seats were the best available? There were numerous empty yet better seats all around our section. Luckily, once the show started the robot with the haircut that hadnt changed since the 1970's let us move up. On our way out, we found another section of food stands (Guy Fieri was featured prominently) and even pizza. We are going back to see the XPN festival so we will seek those out or bring our own food. But if XPN wasnt going there I would not be returning. read more

Love this place! I always get the lawn. The tickets are inexpensive and it's much cooler then the pit with zero air movement. The monitors placed all over the outside give a great view for us nosebleeders. They rent chairs for $5 and do yourself a favor. Uber there and back. It's a nightmare to park and will cost you more than the tickets. read more

I've seen tons of concerts in my life but don't know if I've ever gone to a venue that sucks as much as this place. I get it, we're in Camden and there's nothing around so you can get away with overcharging for mediocre food and parking too. But do you have to hire losers that have no common sense and an iota of courtesy? Case in point, I approach the entrance to my section with my hands full with a soda ( they couldn't spring for a lid), pizza and a pretzel and oh yes, my cane (recovering from hip surgery-I'm 58) and the genius asks for my ticket. Seriously? Long story short, I drop the $5 pretzel reaching into my pocket for the ticket. I hate this place. read more

Where do I start. Location: Terrible and unsafe dilapidated industrial area. Parking: parking lots are all run by the same company and will close the gates if you arrive after the start of the concert. Even if they have spots and you try to pay them they will not let you park. Concert Venue: Terrible, outdated, overcrowded, oversold. Value: very poor, overpriced drinks.
