I came to bb.q ready to set my mouth on fire and instead ended up in a philosophical debate about sauces with a gatekeeper of a teenager. I asked for boneless with their "Wings of Fire." I even politely asked if I could try two sauces since it was my first visit. The kid blinked at me like I'd asked him to solve a riddle and whispered "one sauce only." Fine. I chose the spiciest one and moved on with my life. After a wait, he brings out bone‑in wings. I remind him I ordered boneless, and suddenly I'm trapped in a loop where he keeps repeating, "That sauce does not come on boneless," as if the universe itself forbids it. This would've been excellent information to share before cooking the wrong thing, but here we are. He eventually checks with the back and offers boneless with the second‑spiciest sauce, which at this point feels like a hostage negotiation. I accept. The boneless arrives. It's dark meat (not my favorite). The sauce is sticky sweet gochujang with a personality crisis. And the only dip option is ranch. No bleu cheese. No dignity. Nothing tasted bad. Nothing was inedible. But the whole experience felt like ordering chicken inside a bureaucratic escape room. Went here to grab some wings with my boyfriend for NYE. Only a couple of people sitiing inside, but the amount of carry-out orders was quite a few! It took a while for our order. Since it was our first time we wnated to come in and see before we places our order. We got bone-in wings. I'll admit they were just ok. Honestly I wasn't terribly impressed. I high high hopes but felt a bit disappointed. We also got the side of pickeld beats, yummy! and the Japche was delicious!! 4 stars for this!! The young lady who took our order was really friendly. I did slip, but didn't fall as the floor was greasy and it was wet outside. ANother customer did the same and she put the wet floor sign out. I've only done takeout from here a couple times, but I've tried the other bbq chicken locations in-person. The fried chicken is still crispy, addictive, and mostly consistent between locations. I'd pick Korean fried chicken over American fried chicken chains any day, but the items here are quite pricey. Also, sometimes the chicken here isn't completely coated in the sauce and hence could use more sauce. Service is good and punctual. My order is always ready before the estimated pick-up time. It's a more casual Korean spot to go eat with your friends. I didn't see many people inside the times that I've picked up food here. read more

Their newest location. They have a couple of tables to dine in. I'd say about 10 tables and can fit about 40 people. I came on a Saturday night close to closing time and it was still pretty packed. I'd say about 75% full. There is a small waiting area outside with limited seating. Parking closes to the restaurant is small and if you're not paying attention, you can easily get hit. The restaurant itself is tucked away in the back of the plaza. It's a chain restaurant which is news to me. You walk in and order at the counter. The ordering space is pretty small so there's a little bit of pressure to order because the line can quickly build up. I wished the menu was a bit more spelled out. Had to ask the cashier their thoughts and what was the flavor of most of the chicken since there wasn't much info on it other than the quick write up. But they seemed slightly preoccupied. Got two types of chicken including Gangjeong Wings and Spicy Galbi Wings. Found both to be slightly disappointing. I had other korean fried chicken and this failed in comparison to it. Wasn't as crispy, saucy, or flavorful as I was expecting or wanting. I got hints of the flavor on some wings but it wasn't on every piece. I don't think the price reflected the quality. It took semi long to reach the table and was also somewhat warm. Solid lighting and they were playing a mixture of Pop and Kpop there. It doesn't crack my top ten of korean bbq spaces. But if you're looking for variety of flavors and are adventurous, or if you need to feed a family of 4, or if this is your first time trying Korean BBQ, then this might work well for you. I actually loved this new location! I usually stop by their previous place in Convoy, but this opened up not too long ago in the college area! The food is delicious, hot, and can take a bit. I believe the place is understaff, but our waiter/server was very friendly and helpful. Service can be slow but it's worth the wait! The place is a bit small, so i'd recommend calling in early for a large party. Parking is limited and homeless is quite popular in the parking lot area with tents. These guys make a pretty good fried spicy chicken sandwich. I liked that the chicken was plump and juicy on the inside, not to mention flavorful and tasty. The outside had a very good crispiness about it and a medium spiciness. The fried chicken was great. The sandwich came with an Asian slaw, which was tasty, but it was to water. As a result, it soaked into the bottom bun a but. I did like that they toasted the buns and did not overdo with the mayo and sauce they placed on the chicken. We walked right in and was greeted by the hostess who said we could choose any table-- of course I chose the table with the best lighting ... for photos/videos lol . She took our order and explained to us the specials for the family combos since we had the kids with us . Here's what we had: Family combos #3 is a steal for $75.99-- you get 24 piece wings OR boneless wings, dukbokki OR kimchi fried rice, 2 rice, 2 coleslaw, and 3 pickled radish . We opted for this ! HONEY GARLIC WINGS-- FLAVORTOWN ! Sweet, savory, lightly garlicky-- such a heavenly bite . Batter was crisp and chicken was juicy . Also, love the fact that it's the perfect sauce to chicken ratio . I highly recommend this flavor 10/10 ! SOY GARLIC WINGS (NO SAUCE)-- because we had the kids, we needed a plain naked wing; so we got the soy garlic with no sauce cause my son is so picky with sauces . The cook came out to confirm we wanted plain wings -- yes lol . Regardless, of the plain fried chicken wing, it still was soo delicious . Customer service was good, the cook was really sweet and explained to us the chicken is cooked fresh to order and apologized for the wait -- we only waited about 15 minutes; no worries at all ! A must try if you like fried chicken, sweet glaze and spicy flavors. This was my first time having Korean fried chicken and it was a great experience. The kimchi fried rice was saucy, spicy and packed with flavor. Topped with a sunny side egg and cheese, it was a great dish with a nice kick. The rose ddeok-bokki was sweet and silky with a chewy texture that went amazingly well with rice. The golden original chicken was moist and crispy and the secret sauce was sweet amazing. Nothing but good options on this menu. The service was top notch. Everyone was friendly and had great recommendations for us. They were attentive and made sure we had a great experience. The building is on the side behind smash burger but shares a good sized parking lot with the whole building which was nice. A small but spacious dining area with nice decor and K pop on the radio make a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back. They have great family combos which will feed a good amount of people. Very disappointing experience. The restaurant states that it closes at 9:00 PM, but when we arrived at 8:15 PM, we were told that dine-in was no longer accepted. There was no prior notice about an earlier last dine-in time. If you stop serving customers that early, the closing time should be clearly communicated. We got the BONELESS COMBO BOX, you pick what boneless chicken flavor (except you can't get Gangnam style and can't get mala) you want and the drink. Recap from last review: I remembered last time I didn't like the smoky flavors since it was really heavy and tasted artificial. They have soy garlic, but I felt it had too much garlic emphasis. I ordered HOT SPICY boneless chicken and it was spicy with a bit of sweetness. The spice actually builds with each bite. It comes with 4 pieces of boneless chicken. I only had 2 before I tapped out from spice, haha! It was nice and juicy, flavorful, but even though it was fried-- it didn't have that usual & beautiful crunch as if you were to get wings or drumsticks. The French fries were well fried, light and airy, and not too heavily seasoned. I liked it with the ketchup. Something to note, their ranch is really watery! Super thin, so it doesn't have that lovely cooling affect you'd get usually to counter spicy foods. I wouldn't get the ranch again, esp if you had to pay extra (I'm not sure if you had to, my brother ordered). I think it was a good portion for lunch, but it would be cool if they had slaw or something to counter the "fried foods" combo box. The Fanta was tasty with a fresh and fizzy orange taste. My brother ordered the CHEESELING boneless pieces, this type of combo box always comes with 4 pieces by the way. He devoured it as someone who's lactose intolerant. As people in Korea rave about cheeseling chicken, I think it's something you should try when coming here! He got his with Diet Coke. Overall great pricing for the combo box, for lunch it was the perfect amount of food. And it's nice that it came with your choice of a drink as well. The food here is amazing. The service staff needs a little bit more training just to make sure they put orders in right. I ordered the half and half boneless which is their golden original and spicy hot or the secret sauce. I also the proceeded to order a large (24 piece) boneless of cheesling and gangnam sauce. Lo and behold when my order comes up I have two large 24 piece boneless wings (One of each of the flavors) and the half and half boneless. No one told me you cant order two flavors. It was not made clear. There are no limits on the paper menu or on the electronic menu board. I even brought this up and she was like oh no you cant do that. So now im out 41.99 extra. As much as I love this place I wont be back. And im going to warn my friends that do come here to make sure their order is correct before the wait staff even put the order in. read more
