Honestly I ordered to go because I needed to go somewhere quickly which was why I ordered ahead of time. The estimated time they gave me was 15-30 minutes which was understandable. But after waiting for almost more than 30 minutes I was still told to wait for my order. When we came in, there were basically barely any customers, and the ones that were in there had already received their meal. The waiter was on her phone so frequently that she didn't even realize I came inside. I had to go over to them to get their attention, and from observing them while I waited for my food, they lacked in customer service by a lot. After I finally had gotten my food and ate it, it honestly wasn't worth the long wait. I was expecting something really good after waiting for that long. I'm not saying it's so bad, ew don't come here, I'm stating that if it took this long to make it then it oughta be good. My family and I are regular customers to this establishment in Pasadena. I want to make it clear that the food here is good. The service is what sucked big time. Tonight we decided to walk to what use to be our favorite Korean bbq chicken location and were unfortunately treated like crap. The server VANESSA from the moment we walked in was nothing but rude to myself, my fiance, and my two toddlers. Who the heck is rude to a 1 & 3 year old who is happily eating their ice cream?! We ordered wings and she was rude. We ordered beer and she rolled her eyes as if we are disturbing her. Like, you're working lady, that's your job. Keep in mind that she is still attacking us while this is happening. We tried to ignore her attitude and ill will towards us initially but we couldn't after she started addressing my children. Yes, as a parent, I will not tolerate someone disrespecting my children. Especially when they cannot speak for themselves. She stated that my kids are not allowed to have ice cream. To toss it or go. We told her that we eat there all the time and not once has anyone said that to us. She says it's not allowed and stated that it is written on the door. We look and it's not written on the door. There is literally a little piece of paper taped on the door that says no outside food in very small print. The paper is the size of a sticky note give or take. There is no way people would see that right away. Especially at night. So we asked to speak to a manager and Vanessa stated that there was no manager. She said they didn't have one. How can there not be a manager in a restaurant? So we asked if there was anyone else we could speak to and she said no. There is no one. We also asked her to stop being rude and disrespectful. She didn't care and walks away. Next thing you know another woman comes out and apparently works there. She addressed the situation and stated that she is not the manager either. So now I'm asking to speak to whoever is in charge. Yet again, no one is in charge or available. They ask for my name and phone number as someone will call me tomorrow. Idk if they will but I really hope that the manager or owner reaches out. Had Vanessa handled the situation differently and respected us from the moment we walked in the door this would not happened. What is awful is that she treated us poorly and addressed my kids in a rude manner. Not acceptable. I really hope other families have a different experience. I'm curious, had it been baby food or my toddlers bottle would Vanessa ask me to stop feeding my child? Anyway, that's just a glimpse of what my experience was today. This is the only location bb.q location that won't allow any customizations. You cannot ask for the sauce on the side, you cannot get cole slaw instead of radish, but all other locations offer this. I work down the street from here and would spend so much money here if they weren't so unwilling to customize orders to the customers liking. Bad service completely. read more

Quick service. Did take out. Tasty sauces. While chicken is cut up into bite size which makes it unusual because you do not know if the piece is white or dark meat. Similarly, you do not know what kind of bones you will encounter since you don't know what the part of the chicken. Not an optimal eating experience in that sense. read more

The service is great here. The staff is so polite and helpful. It really is refreshing to go to a restaurant where the employees are knowledgeable and take pride in the work they do. The wings are fried really well, they are crispy and not too oily. My favorite is the original spicy wings which used to be called BB wings. They also happen to have really good dokbokki. read more

I have ordered takeout from other Bb.q Chicken locations, and this is the first location where the pickled radish was not part of the order. I was told by the lady at the pick up counter that the radish did not come with togo orders. There is no description in the menu to let someone placing a pick up order that the radishes are not included. If you are fan of Korean fried chicken the radishes usually come along with an order of the chicken, so that was very disappointing. Just n on to order radish as a side dish for future pick up/ togo orders. read more

This may be the best fried chicken I've ever had! The honey garlic wings had the perfect crunch and sweetness and the gangnam style wings met the sweet with just a touch of spice! The sweet potato fries were the perfect balance of soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. However, I have to give 4 stars because the establishment itself was dirty and when we arrived at 8:30 and stated that we wanted to dine-in, one associate rolled their eyes at the mention. This place is legit! My colleague and I went there for lunch today. We ordered a whole chicken, half original and half with their special sauce (both were mild). We also had a side of crosscut fries. The crunch and the flavors were spot on, which is what fried chicken is all about. I might even level up on the spiciness next time just to see if it can be even better. This review would be incomplete if I didn't mention the fabulous service that we got. The chicken here is good. We loved the half and half golden original and half secret sauce. The secret sauce had just the right amount of spicy kick in a sweet and sour type of sauce. THE best Korean friend chicken wings in Pasadena or even LA for that matter. I'm a huge chicken wing fan, but now more so Korean style. Me and my girlfriend order the original spicy (a little spicy kick, nothing crazy) and the honey garlic. I've tried the cheeselings (a little sweet and cheesy) the waffle fries are crunchy and made to perfection. Make sure you order white rice though. We've also tried the boneless but keep in mind these aren't small popcorn chicken size boneless. It's whole chicken thighs which I loved! It's meaty and crunchy! It's whatever you're feeling at the moment, but just know a small is bigger than what you think boneless wings are. Highly recommend you add this place to your weekly rotation. read more

The owner and workers here are amazing. We were being followed by someone in Old Town Pasadena and we went into this restaurant to avoid the person (we had a baby so we couldn't take any risks). We let the workers know the situation and they told us we could wait in here until we felt comfortable/safe. When the person tried to follow us in claiming he was family, they calmly stopped him at the door and asked him to leave. The owner also checked up on us and let us know we could take our time before heading out. We weren't able to dine in that day because we just had dinner elsewhere, but we will definitely be heading back for the food next time! The place was amazing! As a Korean, it was very authentic I ordered the Honey Garlic (Wings) and Hot Spicy (Whole Chicken) and it was a great combination of sweet and spicy! They warned me about the Hot Spicy's spice level, and I'm glad that they did because it was spicer than I expected. The service was A+, it was cold and they offered to close the door even though we were the farthest table from the entrance. Ambiance was nice, I liked the pictures of the delicious food! The kimchi rice was so delicious! The portion was large enough to share between 3 people, the cheese fries are interesting, they have a sweet aftertaste. We walked into the restaurant at 5:30 today and told the server we are a party of 8. She proceeded to tell us that there is a mandatory 20% gratuity for any party of 6 or more people. I explained to her that we are paying separate bills with gratuity for our own party of 4 each. She further responded it does not matter and that's the policy. We told her we don't understand why we should be required to pay a mandatory 20% gratuity on a bill for a party of 4. She then said if you don't agree you don't have you eat here and we reserve the right not to serve you. At this time a man came out from the kitchen area to see what we were talking about so we explained the conversation we were having with the server (who claimed to be the manager). The man also insists that's the policy and told us that we were raising our voice at his employee when it was the other way around. I also reminded him about the new law that went into effect on July 1 that a restaurant cannot charge an additional surcharge on top of the price listed, which includes gratuity that are "not voluntary", to which he said that does not matter, and the mandatory 20% gratuity for parties greater than 6 is their policy. He also told us to leave and that they reserve the right not to serve us. The lady server went as far as telling us that they will call the police if we didn't leave. We were baffled at how we were treated as the conversation was in no way confrontational and we simply wanted to explain why we disagreed with their mandatory gratuity policy. At the time we arrived at the restaurant there were two tables with patrons and each table had one customer each, so it was not like they were swamped and we were a large party they had to serve. Additionally this restaurant is a casual Korean fried chicken restaurant and not a high end restaurant so why they feel a mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of 6 greater is justified or reasonable. As we were leaving I let the man know that I will certainly reflect our experience in a Yelp review to which he asked if we were threatening them . I told him I simply want to state the facts and share our experience so others can be aware. read more
