Delicious Soy Garlic Wings and Rose Tabokki! The food is always great and employee was friendly. Understaffed but they made it work. Only wish they had cleaner bathrooms.

Service was a little slow to be honest... but the chicken was smokin hot! The chicken was expertly crisped, perfectly spoicy, and exquisitely crisped. I cannot lie, the only turn down of this place is the sticky (shoutout tyler the creator), sqeauaky bathroom floors and filthy stench. The only thing that would make up for that would be an ice cold beer in my hand after a 48 hour shift Lol (if you know YOU know.) I thought the complimentary water wasn't cold so the spiciness was too overpowering, thank you bbq chicken! Again, i remind you that the floor was a tad too sticky (queue tyler ) for my liking. They never mopped grab a mop it's getting sticky in this b****!

Ah, bb.q chicken--where my love affair with crispy, juicy perfection began years ago in Alhambra. Naturally, on this fine New Year's Day, when our usual go-to spot was closed, we thought, "Why not give this location a shot?" Spoiler alert: It was a plot twist we didn't need. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a waitress clearly multitasking her way through a slow day. She brought water, plates, and utensils like a seasoned pro, though the vibe inside was... interesting. Think high ceilings, dim lighting, and a healthy dose of "we're trying to be a bar" with soju and happy hour deals apparently running 24/7. Now, the main act--the food. I dove into the kimchi fried rice, which turned out to be more "kimchi-soaked rice." It was wet, mushy, and over-sauced, with the kimchi itself reduced to a sad, squishy shadow of its former crunchy glory. Disappointing, to say the least. The chicken? Let's just say the "whole golden chicken" had me questioning the anatomy of their supplier. Creative cuts, perhaps? As for the spicy wings, they were fine but nowhere near the greatness I fell in love with back in Alhambra. Oh, and the radishes? They didn't make their grand appearance until the waitress remembered--just as I was paying the bill. "Better late than never," they say. But in this case? Not really. Overall, this location gave "meh" energy all around. If this was my introduction to bb.q chicken, I'd probably wonder what all the hype was about. Will I be back? Unlikely. The Alhambra location still reigns supreme.

We had dinner here last night and oh my goodness the chicken! We ordered the 16 piece honey garlic wings and when I say every wing was juicy... I mean it. The crunch/juiciness ratio is out of this world. We also ordered some rice and gyoza. Oh I am definitely coming back here. The staff were friendly... the only thing I would change is just smaller garlic pieces that's just my preference.

Update to my review below: I already provided feedback at the link below. I appreciated there was a response, however it was limited to "we are truly sorry and will provide feedback to our quality team". Unfortunately; that does not provide me much reason to return. ---------------------- Came on Thanksgiivign weekend. Not a great experience. Ordered on touch screens. I had a young sick kid I was picking up some food for and Asked waiter how long before food would be ready so I can go outside with my kid and not have him lingering in the restaurant. His response -- "it'll be ready when you come back" and then rushed off. I ordered original boneless chicke and small Gangnam wings. The wings were tasty. However, nowhere does it mention the original is spicy. My kid couldn't eat it (not surprising since I found it spicy). The fries were burnt (see pic). For 2 fries and 2 orders of food, I paid over $50. Not worth a return.

Probably my favorite KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) chain. This is a good location in Old Town Pasadena. Inside is a modern, slightly narrow space. Decent amount of seating. A few TVs on the wall playing Korean music videos. Not sure if they play sports on the TVs though. The chicken wings are bomb! Can't go wrong with any flavor in my opinion. My favs are the soy garlic and spicy golden original. Also just had the Caribbean spice and I liked it. Their sides are good too. Love the kimchi fried rice. Limited selection of beer and soju if you want to drink too. Service was good. Friendly staff. Parking in this area is kinda tough. There's pay structures within a few blocks or you can try to find a street meter but they're always full.

For my 1st time eating at bb.q chicken, I gave it a 4 Star review. The place was clean, and I loved the ambiance (music). My girlfriend really appreciated how organized they were. For example, on their counter, they had everything you could possibly need for when you're dinning in and to go. The chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside and was very flavorful. The only negative, was our server, who seemed to be a little annoyed when we first arrived, but towards the end of our meal, he seemed to lighten up. Our overall experience was great, and I would not only return, but I will recommend this place to anyone who loves Korean fried chicken!

This location is the best I've visited out of the Cerritos, Koreatown, & Northridge location. Host greets you & you're able to pick any tables available. Place order with our waitress then kept busy watching one of the 3 TVs. Food was served and it was piping hot! Delicious and crunchy chicken the way it should be. Biting into it was just mouth watering! This place is kept clean, in order, & a place you'd like to return with family or friends. I know I definitely will! Parking however is a different story. While difficult, there are parking places to park and pay. Came to watch a football game at the Rose Bowl and didn't realize we'd be grabbing food in downtown. It was my first time here so we ended up just coming here by chance.

Writing this review to hype up bb.q chicken in pasadena old town! This is a chain btw, but a great one still. Been getting this chicken for take out at other places, but dined in here since it recently opened. Staff was super helpful and attentive. Food is amazingggggg as always. Note that dine in closes at a certain time, but you can still order for takeout.

    Rose Ddeok-Bokki Honey Garlic Boneless
    Anna Y.

Came here around 10pm after a football game and it really hit! This location was quite roomy and fancier than other locations I've been to, so it was nice to sit down, look at a menu, and take our time here. It took a bit for the chicken to come out but it was warm and fresh! Service was nice as well. My friends and I got the honey garlic chicken and rose tteokbokki, and both were so satisfying, savory, and yummy. Honey garlic is always a good flavor, the glaze was to die for and the pieces were so huge! Still had a couple pieces leftover after sharing the large full chicken among 4 people. The tteokbokki was also so creamy, we added cheese which was a good decision! Love the fish cakes in there and the chewiness of the rice cakes. Overall recommend this place!

The good: The people working at the counter were very friendly and welcoming. We took a while to order, and they were patient and courteous. They gave our kids free little light up chick toys that they absolutely loved and kept them entertained while we waited for our food! The bad: - The reason it took us so long to order was because they were seemingly out of half of their menu items. Everything we wanted to order was out of stock, so we settled on boneless chicken with fries and chicken gyoza - Something very important to note is that they primarily serve dark meat for the boneless chicken. Dark meat can have a pink/red color even when fully cooked. We had several pieces that looked so red that we didn't feel comfortable eating them because it just looked unappetizing how red it was and I didn't feel fully certain it was cooked because I don't carry around a food thermometer lol. But no one in our party got sick, so I assume it was cooked? I honestly don't know. -When we arrived, they were playing very loud, very explicit hip hop. I love hip hop myself and it would have been fine if our kids weren't with us, but with kids it was just kinda weird to be listening to very explicit lyrics at 10 AM lol. It wasn't just normal hip hop, it was like the extra explicit cut of some SoundCloud rapper. Eventually they changed it to very loud country music. Just weird vibes either way
