I was in the Pasadena area one evening. I saw Pho Banh Mi Che Cali. I'm used to seeing them as Banh Mi Che Cali more so in the San Gabriel Valley area. Thought I check out this location with Pho in the biz name even though I didn't try their Pho for my first visit. There is a very small parking lot in the back behind the restaurant. Get here during low peak times if you want parking. Street parking may be limited. Good inside and outside seatings are available. You may choose to order via self-ordering kiosks or at the counter. I chose the counter option. Staff was friendly, nice, and helpful. I was eyeing their sandwiches, baked savory and sweet pastries, and desserts. I ended up getting a handful of items to-go as shown below. I actually ordered twice. I wanted more food LOL. Prices were reasonable. I feel this place is somewhat of a fusion between Vietnamese and Thai foods. Self-service veggie condiments station available for dine-in only. 1st Order: 1. Lemongrass chicken sandwich was very good. Definitely get again! 2. Spicy fried rice with chicken was delicious. 3. Pork banh pate was so very very tasty. 4. Mung bean non-sesame ball needs more filling and sweetness. 5. Coconut jelly was fantastic! Would get again. 6. Pandan tofu was bland. Needed more sweetness. 2nd Order: 1. Pork loaf sandwich was decent, but needed more pate. Veggies were very fresh. Bread was soft at the time of purchase, but after toasting it in the toaster oven the day after, it was nice and crispy... very good! 2. Egg rolls were okay. Nothing special. I will come back here for their yummy sandwiches. I will have to try their Pho next time. Happy Pho Banh Mi Che Cali!

Bbq chicken & Teriyaki Beef Bánh mì $15 with free tea.

This was not my first time here but it's been a while. This past Saturday there was a Jazz festival at Caltech and I decided on buying two different Bánh mì sandwiches to take to the show. The price of the sandwiches have risen, but what hasn't. Looking over the menu I ordered one teriyaki beef and one bbq chicken Bánh mì. The sandwiches were $7.50 each a great value and when my order was ready the lady asked if I would like a free tea. Both sandwiches were great. The teriyaki beef was not overly sweet, like some sauces are, and the meat was very tender. The bbq chicken was equally as good and the baguette was fresh with a nice crunchy crust. The inside of the sandwich and a good amount of veggies. I look forward to many return visits.

Right on Colorado Blvd. Across from PCC this place has got great Pho. Prices aren't too bad and the food is delicious. Place your order at the counter and the food will brought to your table. Nothing fancy here just good food. There is parking in back that is shared with another business. It is a massage spa. More parking is available on Colorado Bl. The wait staff is typical of this type of establishment . Great place for friends and late nights. I came with friends around 9 and the place easy busy.

Pho Banh Mi Che Cali is located at 1425 East Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena California. It is located directly across the street from Pasadena City College. This is a very nice place to stop in and have a great lunch or dinner. Traditional Vietnamese food is their specialty. The foods are made from family recipes. Close attention is paid to preparation and flavor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I needed extra explanations on some of the items and they were eager to accommodate my requests. I decided to try a soup and sandwich type of meal. For the soup portion I decided on the Special Pho Combination. For the sandwich Ham and Meatloaf. I sat down and waited for my order to be completed. After a short wait my order was ready and I was on my way home. When I unpacked my food I was impressed that everything was individually wrapped and placed carefully in the bag. Every ingredient of the soup had an individual wrapping. I was impressed by how much broth was given to put together my soup. I found the perfect bowl in my cabinet and combined all of the individual ingredients. They were all very fresh. The soup had a nice aroma as I warmed up the soup. The sandwich was ready to go and after the first couple of bites I was happy with my Ham and Meatloaf combination. Very impressed with the spice and flavor. This location has great parking. As well as a nice outside patio to compliment the tables that are located on the inside. The music coming through the speakers added to the ambience. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other Vietnamese special foods on the menu.

Got some delivery. The banh mi obama was pretty good, nice pork patties, good bread but could have used some mayo. The egg rolls were good as well as the fresh shrimp roll. Good yang chow fried rice.

Ordered a grilled pork banh mi for pick-up because I've been craving it for months! lol It was such a good sandwich. The baguette was fresh, not tough & chewy. The pickled veggies & herbs were fresh. The grilled pork was salty & umami.

Nice place to grab a quick meal. I got a bbq chicken banh mi and it was delicious. The sandwich was big and they were generous with the filling. I love how they put lots of veggies in it. Everything seemed seemed fresh and made to order. The egg rolls were okay and I probably wouldn't get it again. It tasted fine, just needed a little more filler.

12.23.2o24 Free drink 2pm-5pm with order of pho/noodles, vermicelli or house specials. You can even add a topping to the drink! The pork wasn't very good because it was very tough. The shrimp, however, was very fresh and favorable. The spicy beef noodle didn't come with a lot of noodles. The honey green tea was decent.

One of the cheap Pho and Banh Mi spaces in the area, quick and casual vibes. Pricer than places that have BOGO but it is in Pasadena. The customer base is typically college students from PCC so it's priced accordingly. I do recommend getting your money's worth through its Happy Hour where you can get free drinks. Take advantage of the self serve bar for extra veggies (bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, basil, etc.) for your soup. You order from a kiosk. The service is fast and great. The sandwiches are filling with nice homemade buns. The Pho has a rich broth and comes piping out.

I went here on March 30. My favorite part was the pork, it was grilled to perfection. It was a big bowl, I felt so full after eating it. The server was polite and got us the chopsticks we requested since we didn't have any utensils. They have a 15% off deal when we went so we also got egg rolls for takeout. They had a renovation so the walls are tile. I like the ambiance, it's pretty bright inside.

I absolutely love finding hidden gems like Phở Bảnh Mì Chè Cali! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. Yes, it has an older look with worn tables, but let me tell you it's spotless and has so much charm! The staff is incredibly sweet, and I love that it feels like a family-run restaurant. There's something about places like this where you can truly taste the love in every bite. Now, let's talk about the food... WOW. I had their pho, banh mi, and spicy fried rice with chicken and shrimp and honestly, I can't even pick a favorite. Everything was next-level delicious! And as a huge fried rice fan, I have to say this is my top fried rice from any restaurant, period. Oh, and their egg rolls? Crispy, flavorful, and ridiculously good. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the experience is just all-around amazing. This is one of those places I'll be telling everyone about. If you're thinking about trying it just go!

Of course, I went in because I already know the quality of their food. I always find their noodles fresh and chewy, and the dishes are rich in texture and flavor. But this time, since I was by myself, I didn't order a noodle dish because I was just by myself. So, I ordered the beef roll, which is also to die for! Just really enjoy their food overall. If you've never tried Noodle Street before, definitely check out their menu and give their noodles a try. This particular location was clean, the staff was nice, and the wait wasn't long when I arrived. I would definitely come back again! I'd like to add one more detail. While I was waiting for my food, one of the staff members, possibly the manager, Justin, came over and asked if I'd like to have a small bowl of broth on the side. I said yes and was impressed by that offer. Why? This young man understood that I had ordered only the beef roll, which is a dry dish. Having a little warm broth on the side made it much easier and more enjoyable to eat. I had water, though, but I personally never drink water before or after my meal, so the broth was definitely a perfect complement to the beef roll. This is the first time in my Noodle Street eating history that I've been offered something simple to enhance my dining experience. A small gesture that I think is worth mentioning, as it showed that he was attentive and had very good common sense when it comes to customer service. Thumbs up to him, and an extra star from me for this location.

Food and Drinks: I got myself a peach jasmine iced tea. It came in an old school can type container, which was very unique and cool. The drink itself was very fruity, floral, and refreshing. As someone who loathes super sweet drinks and food, this was just right. Perfect for a hot summer's day. My dope ass friend and I ordered the spicy garlic chicken rice and shaken beef garlic noodles. The spicy garlic chicken rice is a signature wok dish featuring flash-fried chicken, broccoli, and jalapeños tossed in a bold, savory garlic sauce served over a bed of hot and fluffy rice. It also comes with some popular Vietnamese veggies like lettuce, daikon radish, and pickled carrots. The chicken itself was soft, tender, and flavorful. Truthfully, this dish was mid compared to that of the shaken beef garlic noodles. It was also a pretty hefty portion of food. The shaken beef garlic noodles were hella fire. You would be remiss if you didn't order this, y'all. That's like going to Disneyland during Halloween season and NOT taking a photo with the gigantic ass pumpkin. Tsk tsk tsk. Anyways, this dish had thick, incredibly tender, mouth watering, and juicy cuts of wok-seared beef tenderloin and buttered onions served over generous portions of al dente savory, garlic-loaded noodles. As a fan of garlic and onions, this dish hit the spot. Also, this was a "wet" noodle style rather than a dry stir-fry. The generous portion sizes make it a heavy, highly filling meal. Staff: So I arrived earlier than my friend. They technically were not supposed to seat me until my friend arrived, but because the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived, they told me to sit down at a booth to wait for my friend. Thanks, Mariska. She was very welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

My order had 2 pieces of oxtail which was reasonable for the price. However, when we got home, our takeout order only had one piece of oxtail. This is very disappointing!!! First of all, you guys charged a mandatory 20% tip for takeout orders, but to shortchange your customers with their takeout is WRONG! Extremely disappointing! You just lost a customer!
