Bbq chicken & Teriyaki Beef Bánh mì $15 with free tea.
    Mark G.

This was not my first time here but it's been a while. This past Saturday there was a Jazz festival at Caltech and I decided on buying two different Bánh mì sandwiches to take to the show. The price of the sandwiches have risen, but what hasn't. Looking over the menu I ordered one teriyaki beef and one bbq chicken Bánh mì. The sandwiches were $7.50 each a great value and when my order was ready the lady asked if I would like a free tea. Both sandwiches were great. The teriyaki beef was not overly sweet, like some sauces are, and the meat was very tender. The bbq chicken was equally as good and the baguette was fresh with a nice crunchy crust. The inside of the sandwich and a good amount of veggies. I look forward to many return visits.

I was in the Pasadena area one evening. I saw Pho Banh Mi Che Cali. I'm used to seeing them as Banh Mi Che Cali more so in the San Gabriel Valley area. Thought I check out this location with Pho in the biz name even though I didn't try their Pho for my first visit. There is a very small parking lot in the back behind the restaurant. Get here during low peak times if you want parking. Street parking may be limited. Good inside and outside seatings are available. You may choose to order via self-ordering kiosks or at the counter. I chose the counter option. Staff was friendly, nice, and helpful. I was eyeing their sandwiches, baked savory and sweet pastries, and desserts. I ended up getting a handful of items to-go as shown below. I actually ordered twice. I wanted more food LOL. Prices were reasonable. I feel this place is somewhat of a fusion between Vietnamese and Thai foods. Self-service veggie condiments station available for dine-in only. 1st Order: 1. Lemongrass chicken sandwich was very good. Definitely get again! 2. Spicy fried rice with chicken was delicious. 3. Pork banh pate was so very very tasty. 4. Mung bean non-sesame ball needs more filling and sweetness. 5. Coconut jelly was fantastic! Would get again. 6. Pandan tofu was bland. Needed more sweetness. 2nd Order: 1. Pork loaf sandwich was decent, but needed more pate. Veggies were very fresh. Bread was soft at the time of purchase, but after toasting it in the toaster oven the day after, it was nice and crispy... very good! 2. Egg rolls were okay. Nothing special. I will come back here for their yummy sandwiches. I will have to try their Pho next time. Happy Pho Banh Mi Che Cali!

Right on Colorado Blvd. Across from PCC this place has got great Pho. Prices aren't too bad and the food is delicious. Place your order at the counter and the food will brought to your table. Nothing fancy here just good food. There is parking in back that is shared with another business. It is a massage spa. More parking is available on Colorado Bl. The wait staff is typical of this type of establishment . Great place for friends and late nights. I came with friends around 9 and the place easy busy.

Got some delivery. The banh mi obama was pretty good, nice pork patties, good bread but could have used some mayo. The egg rolls were good as well as the fresh shrimp roll. Good yang chow fried rice.

Ordered a grilled pork banh mi for pick-up because I've been craving it for months! lol It was such a good sandwich. The baguette was fresh, not tough & chewy. The pickled veggies & herbs were fresh. The grilled pork was salty & umami.

Nice place to grab a quick meal. I got a bbq chicken banh mi and it was delicious. The sandwich was big and they were generous with the filling. I love how they put lots of veggies in it. Everything seemed seemed fresh and made to order. The egg rolls were okay and I probably wouldn't get it again. It tasted fine, just needed a little more filler.

12.23.2o24 Free drink 2pm-5pm with order of pho/noodles, vermicelli or house specials. You can even add a topping to the drink! The pork wasn't very good because it was very tough. The shrimp, however, was very fresh and favorable. The spicy beef noodle didn't come with a lot of noodles. The honey green tea was decent.

One of the cheap Pho and Banh Mi spaces in the area, quick and casual vibes. Pricer than places that have BOGO but it is in Pasadena. The customer base is typically college students from PCC so it's priced accordingly. I do recommend getting your money's worth through its Happy Hour where you can get free drinks. Take advantage of the self serve bar for extra veggies (bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, basil, etc.) for your soup. You order from a kiosk. The service is fast and great. The sandwiches are filling with nice homemade buns. The Pho has a rich broth and comes piping out.

I went here on March 30. My favorite part was the pork, it was grilled to perfection. It was a big bowl, I felt so full after eating it. The server was polite and got us the chopsticks we requested since we didn't have any utensils. They have a 15% off deal when we went so we also got egg rolls for takeout. They had a renovation so the walls are tile. I like the ambiance, it's pretty bright inside.

It comes with chilies and fish sauce for you to pour on top. The rice cakes are served warm and are super smooth and soft. The thai chilies it comes with are spicy so don't use too much. The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. If you are craving Brodards in OC this place can satisfy your craving. Their che ba mau which is a 3 bean dessert has a lot of beans inside topped with coconut milk and shaved ice. Not much mung bean either after stirring it literally for about 4 seconds the mung bean basically disintegrated into the liquid. The liquid.. watered down skim milk, not a trace of coconut flavor anywhere. I didn't know you can mess up Che Ba Mau until I had it from here.

It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.

The quality was solid, and everything came out hot. The chicken wings were great, the garlic green beans and cucumber salad were amazing, and the signature spicy ramen was really good too. It was a bit greasy, almost like birria, but the meat was tender and the broth tasted like it had been cooking for 48 hours deep, rich, and full of flavor. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Korean beef. It was way too sweet and didn't really give Korean BBQ flavor. The meat seemed more steamed than grilled, and not even vinegar or chili oil could save it for me. Other than that, everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for.

As someone who loathes super sweet drinks and food, this was just right. Perfect for a hot summer's day. My dope ass friend and I ordered the spicy garlic chicken rice and shaken beef garlic noodles. The spicy garlic chicken rice is a signature wok dish featuring flash-fried chicken, broccoli, and jalapeños tossed in a bold, savory garlic sauce served over a bed of hot and fluffy rice. It also comes with some popular Vietnamese veggies like lettuce, daikon radish, and pickled carrots. The chicken itself was soft, tender, and flavorful. Truthfully, this dish was mid compared to that of the shaken beef garlic noodles. It was also a pretty hefty portion of food. The shaken beef garlic noodles were hella fire. You would be remiss if you didn't order this, y'all. That's like going to Disneyland during Halloween season and NOT taking a photo with the gigantic ass pumpkin. Tsk tsk tsk. Anyways, this dish had thick, incredibly tender, mouth watering, and juicy cuts of wok-seared beef tenderloin and buttered onions served over generous portions of al dente savory, garlic-loaded noodles. As a fan of garlic and onions, this dish hit the spot. Also, this was a "wet" noodle style rather than a dry stir-fry. The generous portion sizes make it a heavy, highly filling meal. Staff: So I arrived earlier than my friend. They technically were not supposed to seat me until my friend arrived, but because the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived, they told me to sit down at a booth to wait for my friend. Thanks, Mariska. She was very welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Bone Kettle has become one of my favorite restaurants, and it's one of those places I keep coming…read moreback to because it's consistently amazing. If you come for dinner, do yourself a favor and order the Brussels sprouts, they're only available at dinner, and I genuinely get them every single time. They're that good. The noodle soups are always incredible too. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and no matter how many times I've been, the quality has never changed. That kind of consistency is hard to find and really keeps me coming back. The service is always friendly and the food comes out surprisingly quickly, even when they're busy. I also appreciate that they're a tipless restaurant with a 20% service charge already included. It's nice knowing the staff is taken care of without having to think about calculating a tip at the end.

I think ill still go back because it's just so homey and simple yet delicious; i feel like it's that one place where nothing can go wrong IG: @nom.noms.only
