I ended up waiting about 30 minutes in line, when I came at a somewhat off peak time. I had my eye on the Luis Style Sando so I ordered that. Think of it as part grilled cheese sandwhich and Nashville hot chicken. I ordered mild which had only a minimal kick to it. The sandwhich was delicious, the bread was perfectly toasted, nice melted cheese. What really stood out for Howlin than other fried chicken places was the slaw. There was something about that slaw that tasted better than any other hot chicken sandwhich I tasted. All together the sandwhich was delicious, got to order Luis style all the time now if I'm in the mood for a sandwich. Ambiance is very hip hop music and a hip setting. Seating can be limited when there are crowds. As much as I didn't want to believe they hype the acclaim is well deserved depending upon what you order.
