New Richmond bb.q location! I first tried this Korean fried chicken chain a few years ago after watching the cast of Crash Landing on You devour the golden pieces on the show. When the plates of crispy fried goodness appeared on-screen, it was just too much; I *had* to have some... tout de suite! At the time, the only stand-alone bb.q I knew of in the area was the North Road location in Coquitlam (most of the others were operating inside H Mart supermarket locations). I remember rushing there after watching the show and ordering my own plates of crunchy morsels to get my fix. That first bb.q visit was extremely satisfying, and this Richmond location upheld the initial experience quite well. I only ordered two flavours here since I was between meals, but the chicken was just as crispy and flavourful as before. The employees were extremely nice and welcoming. There is ample parking in the lot behind the restaurant, and they are currently open until midnight every day, woo! Midnight Korean fried chicken runs FTW! Consistency is extremely important for any restaurant chain, so I'm glad this location was on par with my previous visits. Will definitely be back, next time with more tummy room!

Very easy to get to, great parking Reasonably priced, crispy chicken. Decent service. The only thing is menu isn't that big. They got rice wine but no sweet soju. It feels a bit more like a cafeteria than a bar/izakaiya. But other than that. Great option if you are craving Korean chicken. Food 9 service 8 ambiance 8 value 8.5

Clean restaurant with ample space. The hostess was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The cheesling fries were recommended and did not disappoint! My favourite was the Lemon Salad Chicken, it was flavourful and chicken was cooked so well, tender and juicy!

Great food. Large portions. We got the 3 orders of boneless wings and they all came out piping hot and full of intense flavor. We also ordered the bbq chicken over rice, It came out in nice dish and was more than enough food for a hungry pre teen. I will definitely come back when in vancouve

BB.Q Chicken serves a variety of healthy, flavourful dishes that leave you feeling full and satisfied. My party and I tried a number of different menu items to kick off their new summer brunch menu lunch, which included croffles, pizza, and sandwiches. These had chicken, seafood, and greens so you weren't left feeling overly full and greasy, but rather refreshed! Service was very prompt and our server explained each item to us as they came out, and all items came out in a very timely manner. The ambiance was casual and no-frills, which was perfect for the hot summer night that we chose to dine in. I'd love to come back and try some of their pure Korean Fried Chicken menu items, as that seems to be their specialty.

No wait to be seated on a weekday at 11AM. Decently close to the trolley station as well so it's walkable if you're rolling on public transit. Here's the thing, you can have a 3 star or 5 star experience depending on your order. The roast goose was pretty mid, too chewy and a bit gamey. The roast pork skin was so crunchy that it was almost hard to eat and the meat itself was also slightly tough. However, the char siu and soy sauce chicken here are life changingly good. Char siu is so fatty that it pretty much melts in your mouth and the outside is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The soy sauce chicken is just incredible. The scallion oil is the perfect bright complement to the uber tender, almost slippery chicken. Genuinely didn't think soy sauce chicken could be the best item at a Chinese bbq place, but HK BBQ showed me how it's done.

Their business is situated in a busy mall and it's more of a take out place vs a sit down restaurant. They also operate as a butcher shop. All are amazing, especially the steamed chicken!! I ordered this by mistake once and didn't realize something so simple could be so delicious. The ginger scallion sauce they provide with it is so good. Everything always tastes fresh. Prices are great too, especially with the US to CAN conversion. Highly recommended!

Strolling up, there was a line. Good sign. The meats in the window were glistening and dripping delicious juices. Through the corner of the glass you could see the meat carver chopping each order and placing it in containers with their signature sauce. We waited a short time and were greeted at the counter. Almost every customer before us was Chinese and I'd watched the staff speak with them in both Mandarin and Cantonese, but both employees spoke to us in English (sincerely appreciated). We ordered a small amount of fatty and lean char siu and some roast duck, which he promptly selected from the window and chopped to order. The fatty was a bit much for me, but the lean char siu was absolutely delicious, and the duck had a nice crispy skin and juicy meat, all of which was delicious too. The sauce took up to the next level. IDK what it is about the soy served with bbq but it's either infused with the seasonings of the meat or the two combine in your mouth to make magic. Parker Place is a solid stop for this type of cuisine and a good starting point for exploring it in Richmond. I look forward to comparing them all over future visits.

FOOD: Food was so yummy! We got the lunch menu and we tried everything! I really loved the marinated beef options! I recommend doing the non-marinated meets first and then working to the marinated meets to not only preserve the grill (even though you can change them out) but with how heavy and more complex the flavors get, I believe thats my best route always! They had cold noodles, which comes in a small, single serving bowl. I loved having that first as an appetizer because it was so refreshing, especially on such a hot day! We also got the ssamjang and lettuce to accompany our meats, best choice ever!! The butter corn was super yum too, not too overwhelming or heavy! What we did was we finished the butter corn and added garlic, that you can get for free, and crisped it in there! Not only does it add flavor, but if you want to toast it, it wont fall through the grill! They also have a plum margarita which I tried and it was super yum! I think a lot of people won't go for this option, but as someone who always loved salted plums and likes to try new things, I did not regret choosing this over whatever other popular drinks they had. This is my fav underdog! For dessert, I had the dough sticks (which they put as an appetizer) and ate it with the vanilla ice cream they offer (one per person!). Such a yummy combination. For another dessert option, they have almond milk, which was also delicious! If you're not familiar with this dish, the consistency is a cross between pudding and jello, where it's soft and pillow-y but holds its shape however way you scoop it. The taste is subtle, slightly sweet, overall so good. 10/10 for this food experience! AMBIANCE: This is a place that you shouldn't feel pressured to dress too nice in. T-shirt and jeans kind of vibe! But the aesthetic of the establishment itself could totally warrant cute pictures in a more dress-y outfit! SERVICE: Shout-out Iris! She was so sweet, so accommodating, constantly checked in with us, 10/10! Always making sure that whenever our plates started to look a little empty, she was there to take our order! Every question we had, every order we wanted, anything and everything Iris was there for us! So awesome, so sweet, thank you so much Iris for taking care of us!!!

Every item we ordered was well prepared and true to the HK flavors you'd expect -- nothing overly salty or greasy, just balanced and satisfying. We tried half a BBQ duck and the three-meat combo with rice, and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous, and I especially appreciated how generous they were with sauces -- a small detail that goes a long way. If there's one area for improvement, it would be the food temperature. Nothing came out piping hot, which left me wondering if the dishes had been sitting out for a bit -- or perhaps the restaurant just doesn't see as much volume during off-peak hours. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but hotter plates would elevate the experience. Pricing was very reasonable, especially with their ongoing specials, making it an easy choice for a casual meal that delivers on flavor and value. Despite the quiet setting, Yummy BBQ deserves more attention -- it's a solid spot for classic HK BBQ done right.

We intended on getting the à la carte menu at first but realized that based on how many big eaters we had, it was more bang for our buck with the all you can eat menu. We chose the lowest tier of all you can eat and there were some people who preferred seafood; even if you upgraded to the highest tier the selection in our opinion, didn't get drastically better that it was "worth it". We had a party of six and was seated at a long table with a divider. When we got to our seat, the staff had placed the divider at exactly the table edges connecting the two stove but it was so squishy and uncomfortable for 6 people that we had to move the divider over a little. There's a time limit for all you can eat however with one stove and us not knowing that the vegetables came raw and in full foiled packages, it took a long time to grill anything. Our waitress came over many many times to remind us about the time limit and even then... we were well over our time limit even though we only put in two rounds of food. One stove shared between six people was awful. It's not like our stove could cook any faster even if the waitress rushed us. We were even ending the meal with s'mores and the waitress couldn't wait any longer and brought over the bill. We had to put down our s'mores stick to pay the bill so she could leave us alone to finish the meal... the restaurant was not busy, there were plenty of empty tables and there was no one waiting in the lobby. Did not appreciate the service here. Overall, food was greasy and not memorable (as I just tried a different grilled meat spot a few days prior). The portions were weird. Most of the dishes were severely under portioned so we made sure to up our portions for round two. Our time was up before we could even put in our final round three order. The staff also didn't respect some of the items. We put in ice cream on the first order as people wanted to use it as a grease palate cleanser and it was only when we followed up with the waitress did they say "oh we thought it should be served at the end of the meal instead since it's a dessert". Perhaps following the orders of what customers mark off would help with better customer service....
