    Sweet and hot chicken

This is one of my favourite fried chicken places. Their garlic and soy sauce and, sweet and hot chicken are soooo good. They are always very nice and provide great service. The restaurant itself is a little outdated and hidden, but the food more than makes up for it!

Didn't expect to find korean fried chicken in this area - Everything we had was really yummy and I would recommend! We got: - Crispy Chicken Burger $11.25 - BLT $7.75 - Boneless K-Chicken (garlic soy sauce & cheese snow) $31 Everything was fresh and very flavorful. This place gives me diner vibes, and it serves up korean fried chicken! Noticed they also have a lunch menu set for $13 that includes 7 pcs fried chicken, fries and pop - seems like a deal to me and I'd love to come back to try the lunch meal!

K Chicken Burnaby Great food, service and ambiance! Not your typical Korean restaurant. Food: Everything's delicious. Must-try: Cheesy Mushroom Burger, Chicken Burger, Sweet and Spicy Chicken Service: Great team, very accommodating! Atmosphere: Clean and nice place to dine in.

The formerly Norland Grill is now a Korean chicken joint. The prices for chicken are reasonable. We have tried all sauces and they are all so flavorful. The family who make the chicken are so friendly. We tried their lunch special and it was good individual size.

The korean chicken place which is in the middle of nowhere but hey it was quite good though i gotta give it to them. The chicken sandwich was not bad since it was not bland and got some flavour. The spicy chicken isnt spicy enough and quite sour so its not that good. Nonetheless, the soy garlic was amazing though. It got to the level of chicko chicken! Definitely i would go back for the soy garlic. Cheers!

I was…read morepleasantly surprised to discover that Soju is quite spacious inside and that it actually has a cozy ambiance for happy hour drinks. Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. And I am hopeful about finding items to my liking because they offer a fairly diverse food and drinks menu.

It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

I dont really like jambong, so I'm super glad 88 noodle house lets you choose 2 jjajangmyeon! Perfect combo. For the meat dish, you can get tangsuyuk or gganpunggi. We chose the gganpunggi (sweet chili chicken). Jjajangmyeon was ok. Nothing too special about it. Good portions. The gganpunggi was also a good portion! However, I found that it was mostly batter, and since they use a mix of tapioca starch and other as breading, it gets jello-y when not completely cooked. The flavor was really good, but I was disappointed with the batter to chicken ratio. I will continue my search for this type of combo!

We always get the black bean noodles. Flavour is consistent, tasty, and it comes out quick and hot from the kitchen. We rotate between the sweet chili chicken and the sweet and sour pork. This time we got the sweet chili chicken. Flavour is good and comes piping hot and crispy. However, I did find the breading a bit heavy and there is a lot of fat in the layers. Same goes for the sweet and sour pork. I love their coating and the flavour is great, but sometimes I just get a coated piece of fat which is a bit off-putting. We also like the japchae, but find it has a bit too much onion for us. Ok cold nights we like to get the 88 noodle soup. Hot, peppery, slightly spicy. Goes well with the pickles they give you. Service is always quick and polite. No issues there. And the seating is spacious with lots of booth seating.

We also got prime grade beef short ribs, marinated short ribs, and brisket point. I would say this can easily be shared by 4 people because it's a lot of food! We ate all the meat but had a lot of the soup and rice left. It was $140 for all of that which when split is pretty good! My favourite was their brisket point. Their soup was also veryyy comforting!! My other two friends got their glass noodles and Korean pancakes. The glass noodles were delicious!! Very flavourful. The pancakes I thought were a little too oily. I would definitely come back! The service was fast but I thought it was very strange that they wouldn't provide more than 2 takeout boxes for a table of 5.

The flavors were deep and comforting, just what you'd want from a good Korean soup. The decor is not much but quite intimate and cozy. The only downside is that the quantity of meat felt a bit on the lighter side. The kimchis, though, were really good as it was fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced. There was no welcome tea or rice tea, which I kind of expected, but the service was prompt and friendly. Alcohol and other drinks are a bit pricey, but that seems to be the trend everywhere now with the strike. Overall, a great new addition to New West. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu
