Tasty food! Everything we ordered was good. Top fav was the eggplant dosot! The fried chicken was pretty good too! Overall fair pricing! Place is small so make sure to go early if you dont want to wait

I was here on a Monday evening and it was still packed! Lots of customers. My table ordered the following to share: - Eggplant Dolsot - 9/10 - Seafood Soft Tofu Stew - 7/10 - Green Onion Chicken - 10/10 The fried chicken was fried to perfection. Very crispy, not greasy/oily, and very flavourful. The Eggplant was also very good and we also loved the banchans. Service was also amazing and fast. Lots of seating too. Will definitely come back.

It gets busy here at dinnertime as the restaurant is not that big. The food is pretty good and the portions are generous. The dolsot bibimbaps seem to be the most popular items here, but my favourite part is actually that they have a mini size option for their fried chicken. The green onion chicken is yummy! Their "spicy" items are actually quite mild and I would say more on the sweet side, which is good for sensitive stomachs but some people may prefer more heat. Overall would recommend :)

The Korean Fried chicken was good, big pieces, crunchy, and slathered in my preferred sauce. The service was good and they were attentive to our table needs, refilling our jugs without asking. The restaurant has a cool vibe, the kitchen is visible from the seating area, and a good place for drinks!

Good food with cozy pub vibes Atmosphere: The restaurant is quite small, with a few rows of tables along either end, and a few tables in the middle. It's decorated like a bar or pub, with a darker interior and is good for small groups, and is very casual. Food: The portion was a bit on the smaller side given the price, especially for the Korean glass noodles. The flavour was very nice, with it being on the sweeter side. The traditional dolsot was made with fresh ingredients and was very colourful, tasting as it should. The dumplings lacked on flavour, and relied heavily on the sauce which was still quite mild (imparting them with a hint of spice). The fried chicken was very nicely done, with a crispy batter and a lot of green onion on top to brighten up the dish, and you could tell the oil was hot and fresh as well. Would have loved to see larger portions for the sides and the banchan that is served typically at other Korean restaurants with the meal. Service: The server was very friendly and the food came fairly quickly, with the Korean glass noodles coming first and everything else following together. They were out of the way unless you asked for something and required their attention. Good Korean food without having to trek to K-town in the North York area, would definitely try some of their other dishes next time.

Came here on a Friday evening a group of 3. Dinner time was busy with a small wait at the door (but moves fast). Tucked away in small plaza, this Korean restaurant serves up some authentic Korean food. Come check it out! Food- ordered ttebbokki & some soy garlic KFC. For 3 people, we were stuffed. The KFC was yummy and hit the spot. We even went home with leftovers and more!! The chicken was yummy, crispy, meaty, sauce was flavourful, subtle, sweet and umami and so so worth it. Overall would come back and bring perhaps an extra body or two to finish the chicken, or .... Simply have takeout as well. Would definitely come back and try other dishes as well :) Recommended!

This place is a nice place for Korean comfort food! Their eggplant bimbimbap and fried chicken is very good! I've already gone back a few times! Service is also fast and efficient.

New location for Bap.Zip 2 in Richmond hill. It is a cozy place with limited seating space, bigger groups recommend to call ahead to reserve. The menu items are not too many, easier for someone like me to make decisions. They offer very good small side dishes, including cabbage salad, which is very fresh. We Ordered: Eggplant dolslot 4/5 Traditional doslot 4/5 Rice Cakes in chili sauce plus dumplings and seaweed rolls 4/5 Overall it's a good place if you crave some fast Korean food in the area.

Fried chicken with Green onion $14 yummy

A small but busy place for Korean fried chicken, stone pot rice and pork cutlet The stone pot rice with beef $23 is our favorite, the beef is so tender and tasty No 2 on the menu us the one with eggplant at $19, a little spicy though. The pork cutlet king $23 is huge with 3 big pieces which feed three people. Their fried chicken is juicy and flavorful as well. We always order the 7 pieces with green onion, very consistent and solid every time. The space is very small, can fit in 8-9 tables, so get there early to avoid line up. The atmosphere is like small bar, with open kitchen, very welcoming and upscale. The service is good, but can be more consistent. Overall, it is a solid Korean restaurant, with limited menu choices, but consistent, tasty items that they offer.

My friends and I came for dinner on a Friday night around 7:30pm and were seated right away. Bap Zip took over this space from Hoolala Chicken so you can still see remnants of Hoolala's interior and details. I suspect this may been a rebrand over new owners. We were given cold water and hot barley tea when seated. Our servers were nice and checked in on us throughout the night. What we got: - Spicy Squid Bibimbap - Soy Shrimp Bibimbap - Seafood Soft Tofu Stew - Special Sauce Small Fried Chicken - Green Onion Small Fried Chicken Final thoughts: Each of our entrees came with some side dishes (black sesame salad, radish kimchi, seaweed salad). The bibimbaps came with some soup and my stew had a raw egg for you to crack into the boiling soup. The soy shrimp was not for me, but my friend enjoyed it. The stew was loaded with seafood and not too spicy. The chicken was crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. Overall, good portions and flavor. I would come again.

It's my first time here. Upon arrival, wonderful servers greeted us and food came out in a very timely manner. The interior is so comfortable, and the lighting is warm and great. My friend & I ordered tteokbokki and cold noodle. The portion sizes and the food was not bad, you can't go wrong with either option but nothing extravagant.

Pretty good Korean restaurant. I personally liked their rice dishes better than the stews. They also have some lunch specials as well. Side dish tasted good and prices were reasonable. Service was also okay and interior was pretty clean.

Ambiance is casual, interior is clean, and service is fast and attentive. We ordered a couple of dishes and they all came out relatively quickly. The banchan (small side dishes) are refillable once only. My favourite banchan of the day were the bean sprouts and eggplant. There were lots of vegetarian and vegan options, such as the Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, Vegetables Bibimbap, Mushrooms Bibimbap, Vegetables Udon, Vegetables Fried Rice, Kimchi Pancake, Soondubu-jjigae (Soft Tofu Stew) in different variations, and more. The menu was pretty extensive, covering the most typical Korean dishes from the stews and grilled items, to a few Korean-Chinese dishes (such as Jajangmyeon) and everything in between. Steamed Vegetables Dumplings were quite small individually, but came in a sizeable portion. I liked the green onion garnish. Taste-wise, they were alright. Vegetables Bibimbap was excellent - good amount of mixed vegetables (spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, carrot strips, lettuce, bean sprouts) and the fried egg was perfectly crispy on the outer edges, with a still gooey and runny yolk. Grilled Croaker was also decent. It had a lot of small bones as it was a whole fish. It came served with purple rice, and we chose to add on extra lettuce. Seafood Knife Cut Noodles came in a big portion - with lots of slippery, thick udon noodles, pieces of seafood (mussels, clams, squid, shrimps, octopus), and a little big of vegetables (zucchini, carrot, onion). They came in a nice seafood-infused broth - perfect for a cold winter day. I'd come again for the variety of menu items they offer (especially the wide selection of vegetarian options), satisfying tastes, and great & efficient service.

The restaurant is relatively small, but the flavours are great, and the hospitality is first class. It was easy to like the restaurant right from the first visit as the first dish I've tried was the Korean pancake. A very generous in size with two options (seafood and a vegetable one). This, with an excellent selection of side dishes made the first trip an invitation to repeat visits to try some other dishes on the menu. Since that first visit, I've had a chance to enjoy dinner at Gamasot a few more times. My favourite dishes are Hot Pot Bulgogi, Galbitang, Pork Cutlet and Stir-Fried Beef. The portions are very generous, and all of them have that touch of home-made cooking. Overall, an excellent experience, and the one that you feel will never disappoint

Ordered takeout from this place…read more Ambiance - 4/5: it is a small Korean restaurant located in the Starbucks/No Frills plaza. Since it is in a plaza, there are plenty of parking spots. The place is small but they have maximized their seating arrangments. Decor is simple and clean. Service - 4.5/5: I called in the order. They were pretty fast with food prep too. Unfortunately, no takeout menu available. I found the menu on Uber Eats. They said that they don't make takeout menus anymore because they change their menu often. Food - 3.5/5: ordered the following: Banchan (came with the food) Seaweed salad - tangy, had shredded cabbage Kimchi Cucumber - smoky spiciness, slow burn Kimchi radish - crunchy, more spicy than the cucumber, tangy Oxbone soup: - came with salt on the side, add to taste. I only needed to add in about 1/3 of the salt - broth is bland at first but the ox flavour comes through later - no bone, just beef brisket slices - comes with glass noodles Pork belly - small for a whole pork belly, came on a bed of raw onions, a little dry - the nappa cabbage was shredded so I couldn't make it as a 1 bite wrap - the garlic was not fully cooked but surprisingly did not that raw spiciness (which I appreciate) - came with saamjang on the side. I didn't use much. I found it too salty and overpowered the pork belly - not sure if the rice is for this or the oxbone soup but I ate this with the rice Bulgogi dolsot bibimbap - not dine in so no hot stone bowl - lots of rice but there were still a decent amount of toppings!¡à - bland, came with gochujang on the side - added soy sauce, seasame oil and a small amount of gochujang when I ate it Accepts debit/credit/cash. 5% discount with cash, 10% if order is more than $100 before tax Overall 4/5: I would like to try dine in and take a look at the physical menu

Four banchan side dishes were provided with our meal including kimchi, mung beans & soybeans while no refills were offered. The only difference here is they do not provide a pitcher to pour water for the stone rice bowl after the main meal. Skip it or hit it?
