The flavor profile of every dish was on point. We started with the samosa chaat which are fried flaky pastry balls of potato and peas topped with spiced onions and chickpeas. They were served with a sweet sauce as well as a spicier creamy sauce. Both were good. We loved the sweet sauce. The shamis were patties of the beef and chicken mixed with lentils and spices and cooked with an egg. The lotus crepe was filled with cookie butter and strawberries and topped with more cookie butter and a biscoff cookie We cannot wait to come back here. All the dishes resonated well with us and the staff was friendly and helpful in us deciding on our dishes.

Seasoned and spiced perfectly with the fluffy texture of the puri, so so so yummy. I would definitely recommend having the Aloo bujia because without it, the breakfast will not be complete. The Aloo, channa and the beef haleem were perfectly balanced and not too overpowering with their flavors. The Beef haleem hit the spot! With the hot fluffy, and a little crispy naan. They complemented each other very well and if you want a little tang to it, you can add on the extra garlic and onions with it.

The…read morerestaurant has a casual, welcoming vibe and is known for serving authentic Pakistani cuisine with bold, rich flavors. We started with appetizers like vegi samosas, spring rolls, pakora, and aloo tikki. Everything came out fresh, crispy, and full of flavor, making it a great way to kick off the meal. For the mains, we tried a mix of dishes including lahori channa, beef haleem, beef nihari, butter chicken, chicken pulao, and vegetable noodles. Each dish had its own depth of flavor, from the rich and comforting slow cooked curries to the perfectly spiced rice and noodles. The nihari and haleem especially stood out for how hearty and traditional they tasted. These types of dishes are known for their deep, slow cooked flavors and are staples in Pakistani cuisine. We also had items from the mixed grill along with fresh naan and white rice which tied everything together perfectly. The portions were generous and great for sharing. To end the meal, we tried desserts and drinks like mango delight, fruit custard, and rooh afza which were refreshing and a perfect sweet finish. Service was friendly and the space is great for groups or family style dining. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're looking for authentic Pakistani food with a wide variety of options and comforting, flavorful dishes.

You're greeted at the door, and the waitstaff asks if there are any questions. My recent favorite is saag paneer because you can taste the ginger, and it has a nice texture that pairs well with naan or rice. I usually go with a group, and we each order an entree and share, so there is variety. My friends liked the shrimp tikka, and it wasn't too spicy. Looking forward to our next meal at Taj.

Both times I went there was a fully equipped bar downstairs but both times we were never given a drinks menu. I was looking forward to a cocktail since I saw some on their website, but I'm not going to order a fancy cocktail if I'm not given the drinks menu at the restaurant. We asked for a glass of wine and a beer instead, but that can also be risky (especially with wine) when you don't know what the price will be. I don't understand why the drinks menu isn't automatically handed out with the food menu. They had some beer taps, but as a beer person I can say the Hefeweizen was definitely off. Old, flat, darker in color than normal. The food was just ok, not bad, but nothing to ever come back for, especially at $20 for a couple of pieces of chicken and a side of rice. Service was also just ok. So quiet that it was hard for me to understand what was being said to me. No facial expressions, no words that would make us feel welcome and wanted there as guests. Third time might be the charm but I'll pass.

"Bold Flavor, Warm Service, and Comfort on a Plate"…read more Dhabewala Indian Shack delivers vibrant Indian flavors in a casual and welcoming setting that makes you feel comfortable right away. I ordered the Butter Murgh, made with tandoori chicken strips, green chili, bell pepper, and a rich cream based sauce. The chicken was tender and well seasoned, and the sauce struck a nice balance between warmth and subtle sweetness. It was indulgent without feeling too heavy and paired perfectly with basmati rice. My girlfriend had the Dal Tadka, a comforting blend of two lentils finished with burnt garlic and fresh herbs. The garlic added depth and aroma, giving the dish a layered and satisfying flavor. It is a reminder that simple ingredients handled well can be just as impressive as anything else on the menu. We also ordered roti, which was soft, warm, and ideal for scooping up every bit of sauce. It complemented both dishes beautifully and tied the meal together. Service was genuinely warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive without hovering and made the experience feel relaxed and personal. That hospitality goes a long way. The only reason this lands at four stars instead of five is that while everything was very enjoyable, it did not quite cross into unforgettable territory. Still, it is a dependable and flavorful option in Stamford.
