I'll start by saying my dad's side is Chinese/Jamaican so I have the honor of knowing what real, great Jamaican food should look and taste like. Whoever Jackee is should be proud because this is what all plates should look like even after delivery! Fresh cabbage, bright and tasty ackee and saltfish (not too salty at all) two big slices of sweet plantain, yummy rice and peas (peas not dry) and surprise two pieces of fried dumpling as a cherry on top. Since I had a long day at work I also ordered chicken and beef patties and coco bread to hold me over. These damn patties were the flakiest, so yummy! As this location is in the Northeast of the Us I'm not surprised it's delicious, I'm just pleasantly surprised and looking forward to trying more next time I'm in town. Make sure you go earlier in the day before they sell out of items on the menu ! I was looking forward to trying the jerk chicken, but I suppose that will have to be left for next time. Red snapper was one of the few items they had left for the day. The rice and plantains were delicious. Cabbage was a bit too oily for my liking. The fish was flavorful, but tough. I'd probably pass on the fish next time, but I definitely want to give their other menu items a try. read more

Ordered via Uber eats! Was excited to try to new West Indian place. I can't speak for their service, but, their food was not good. I ordered oxtails, rice & peas, with cabbage and plantains. Oxtails were tender but lacked the "normal" oxtail taste. Rice was dry and had oxtail sauce on it which tasted well under seasoned which tells you everything you need to know about the oxtails. The cabbage was not cooked well. Tasted like it was soaked in vinegar for days. Not edible. I wanted so bad to love this place :(! Would be willing to try again if they get a new chef! Bland chicken curry. Doesn't taste like curry seasoning at all. They blamed DoorDash for leaving out a meal we clearly paid for and it was on receipt then told us to go through DoorDash and they can't help. This was our first time ordering here and we'll definitely be back. The staff was so friendly, the place was pristine and the prices great for how much you get. As far as the food, we got the oxtail, jerk chicken and beef patties with coco bread. It was absolutely delicious! Perfectly spicy and seasoned, the meat was super tender and cooked with love. Patties were nice and crispy on the outside and the rice was cooked perfectly. They also have a great selection of beverages and juices. It's hard to find good Jamaican spots like this in certain parts of Long Island and we're so glad we discovered this gem. read more

I love supporting minority businesses however after ordering my food for pickup, I was surprise when I got home. Either It was the wrong order or I was jilted! I order curry chicken, jerk chicken and 1 oxtail. I received 3 curry chickens. Come on! Everyone was hungry so they ate the under seasoned curry chicken but check your order at the counter! Ordered through Uber Eats. Was really looking forward to some West Indian food, because I come from the city where the food is amazing. I ordered two oxtails and both orders had hair in them. What's the odds of both orders? Clearly they are very unsanitary because there was hair on the few bites that we had taken. After seeing this, my family and I lost our appetite. This food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the shrimp roti, Jerked pork, Curried chicken and beef patties. Everything we got was amazing! Obsessed with this place. We got curry shrimp, jerk pork, fried chicken and waffles, jerk pies, and all the plantains and rice we could eat. Food was awesome, portions were big, prices were super reasonable. Everyone there was friendly and sweet, and DK even helped us bring the food out to our car. Above and beyond. They mentioned that they are family-owned, and it really shows in how personable the staff is, and how incredible the food is. We're going back once a week! I ordered stew chicken & it was awful. My family ordered oxtail, they said it was awful. There was no flavor, at all. Usually the problem with Jamaican food is that it is too spicy, this food was bland. Rice was super dry. I won't even get into the environment of the restaurant.
