Best Moving experience ever! We did not know the company, but got an Amazon Local Deal where we paid $95 for two people and a truck, for two hours of work. After reading the reviews on Yelp we went for it - and never regretted it: We did not have a lot of stuff, but we chose the hottest day of the year to move - made us feel so sorry for them! Ronnie and Q arrived a bit early. They tried to call me 3 times and left me a message to let me know of their changed schedule. I was so caught up in packing that I missed it all, but luckily we were home anyway. The guys were so friendly, soooo fast and wrapped everything so carefully before placing it in the truck. They even helped us unhinge a door in our new apartment! It was truly a great experience, if we ever move again we'll certainly hire them again! read more

Overall, I had a great experience with BCb Moving. Miguel and James were probably the quickest movers that I have ever seen, running up and down the stairs and into the trucks. They also lifted some pretty heavy furniture including a sleeper couch and a filing cabinet. The price is also very reasonable. My only complaint is that they arrived an hour and 45 minutes late from their previous job. I had a zipcar to return and an event to attend that night, so this put a wrench in my plans. They did explain that there was a couch at the last job that was very large and took them 1.5 hours to try to move without success. Once they finally arrived, they were very efficient. read more

Bottom line: Friendly, efficient, quick, careful, honest, professional and amazing value. I moved a two bedroom from a 3 floor walkup in Boston to an elevator building in Manhattan. These guys were amazing. I called super last minute for a June 1 move, and even though it is the busiest time of year, the owner came out to check out my apartment the next day and gave me an estimate. (Which ended up being spot on!) All of the other movers I called quoted estimates that were twice as high, but I shouldn't have even bothered. BCb was great. We had lots of heavy boxes, fragile ceramics in lots of unusual sizes and stacks and stacks of oil paintings. Our furniture was IKEA and pieces we had made ourselves. NOTHING BROKE, although it easily could have. Nothing was missing or forgotten! They took care of everything. They were on time, friendly, professional, fast and strong. The owner did everything he could to bring our price down when it came time to pay (I didn't haggle at all). The smoothness of the move was worth way more than I paid him. I used BCB when I first moved to Malden some years ago. At the time, I was single and moving all of the furniture from a two bedroom apartment to the fifth floor of a building with no elevator (quick moment of silence for my poor legs..having to make that climb every day). In addition to countless boxes of heavy books and shoes, I had couches, a huge electric fireplace, a tempur-pedic mattress, dressers, a giant tv, and a full dining room set. This is the first moving company I have ever used, and my biggest fears coming out of the gate were (1) they would damage my stuff..especially in the journey up such a long, windy set of stairs in a narrow hallway and (2) that since they charged by the hour, they would take their time so that they could charge me as much as possible. So fast forward to moving day, I was given a window of time to expect the movers to show up. two gentlemen show up EARLY with smiles on their faces, which was a great start to what I thought would be a stressful day. They know the Malden area very well and mentioned that they had helped most of the people in my building move before, so my move would not be a challenge. They strategically took the items off of the moving truck together and literally ran up and down the stairs with these heavy items without damaging a thing. A load that had taken me and several family members almost 6 hours to pack into the truck the night before was swiftly and neatly put into my new apartment (exactly where I asked them to put the items) in less than an HOUR. I was absolutely thrilled with the level of service and professionalism of the moving staff. The entire time they remained pleasant and light-hearted (cracking jokes a lot of the time)..which was a very pleasant surprise. If I had to move all kinds of heavy and odd shaped items up that many stairs, I would have probably gone mad lol. I recommend BCB to anyone moving to the area. read more

Used them twice, one for a 1.5 mile move 1 bedroom move, and the second for a 20 mile 2 bedroom and a full basement of crap move. The second move was especially daunting, we gave them less than a week's notice, and it was the day before Thanksgiving. My wife and I pulled an all nighter packing, then had to close on the house. We got back to the apt in the afternoon, prepped, and then the guys from BCb showed up. They packed and moved like pros, carefully packing the truck all the way to the top. Our apartment and house had 4 stories, so it was a crapton of physical work, which the movers seemed to shrug off. (I was dying) Great guys, would use and recommend again. read more

{Better late than never..} FAST. PUNCTUAL. EFFICIENT. Highly recommend! I moved on the dreaded September 1. Sam and Keem came right at 8AM as expected, and absolutely CLEARED my North End, third-floor, one bedroom in a matter of 90 minutes. INCREDIBLE. Speechless. I hardly had to carry a lint ball, they were so good about packing every little loose item into a box and carrying it out to the truck for us. After a quick break and drive to the new location, they, again, moved everything into the new house in a matter of 90 minutes or less. We used BCB for our move from the Back Bay in Boston to Somerville in May 2014. They did arrive about a half hour late, but called ahead of time to let us know. Moving sucks no matter how you slice it, so we were just happy that they showed up. Plus, we had a parking permit setup for all day, so it did not really affect us too much. Our movers were James and Marcus and both were a pleasure to work with - cheerful and pretty funny too. The whole process took about 4 hours - moving out, driving to Somerville, and moving all of our stuff into our new place. My one piece of advice would be to get a moving permit if you are moving to/from the city. I was shocked that James and Marcus were so excited that we had a permit in front of our building - they said they have had to walk up to a block or two to get to and from their truck because the customers did not get moving permits. So to speed up the process, do yourselves and your movers a favor and get a permit. read more

I moved from Chelsea to Somerville and had a fantastic experience with this moving company. The guys were very polite, cooperative, and very fast. The hourly rate was better than I've paid in the past and it took less time than I'd experienced with others. A wheel broke off of my desk chair and they came to me and offered to go get the replacement and fix it immediately! I was so shocked that they were upfront about it as I had missed it so I just got the part myself for less than $10 and fixed it. I highly recommend them. I just finished my third or fourth move with Bcb. This time, Miguel, Mo, Kelly, and Ngadi knocked out two pick ups, and a move in in just 4 hours, including travel time!! These guys are machines! They were friendly, professional and clearly know their stuff. They wrapped, taped, organized. They even went beyond the call to help my partner disassemble and reassemble his bed. We went with them based on reviews and were not disappointed. 3 stop move -- BF's place (Malden), my place (Southie) and then our new combined place (Southie). Each of us had about the equivalent of a 1 bedroom. Estimates and booking were easy via phone. Requested confirmation the week before and received it via email. Sam & Keem (hope I spelled that right) showed up at 9:30 on the dot, as promised. These guys were obvious pros from the beginning. Well mannered, nice guys, and ready to WORK. The whole thing took 4 hours. For 3 stops. Did I mention the last stop is a 3rd/4th floor walkup? Sam & Keem remained efficient, friendly, and amazing to deal with the whole time. Not a single thing broken. Not a single scratch. The total for our move, with a generous tip, was around $600. These movers will make you hate moving SO MUCH LESS. Despite being almost 2 hours late, the movers from BCB busted their butts moving all of our furniture to our new condo. This included hoisting our box spring and couch up over our balcony to get it inside. They worked quickly and effectively. All told it was about $550 for 4 hours of labor and the hoist for 2 movers. A little pricey but totally worth it. read more

These guys are pros! I used BCB Moving to help me transfer furniture and boxes from one apartment to another in the same building. A lot of furniture had to be carefully maneuvered down a winding set of stairs. They were very respectful of my things, and of the walls. They were also good communicators, well-organized and managed to complete the move within the expected time frame. I would absolutely hire them again. Great great movers! They were fast, efficient, affordable, and friendly. I would definitely move with them again. I used them to both move and pack up my kitchen. They were great for both. These guys moved my stuff so much faster than the guys who moved me in. They obviously knew what they were doing. While I give them five stars, they were almost too fast. I admit I am a bit particular about my things and some of them got bumped around a little bit. While there was no damage, and while there would likely have been the same number of bumps on the stairway walls if they had gone slower, I still wish they had been a little more deliberate, especially with some of the nicer items. BCB just finished moving me from Philly to Beacon Hill. This is a small company (rents a U-Haul and the main guy brings 1-2 friends), but very easy to work with and reasonably priced. I was allowed to store my things for 5 days between pick-up and delivery for only $100. My new place is on the third floor of a tiny brownstone, and BCB managed to get everything up there rather quickly and without issue. I'd definitely recommend them and second the adjectives used by NS in her description. read more
