I finally had a chance to get down here and it does not disappoint, if anything it's incredible. Debra, George and the staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. They small batch roast the coffee each week, and chatting with George the roaster, it only lasts in store about 7-14 days. So you know you're getting some truly fresh coffee. The smells are intoxicating, they always have a sample available too. Gotta check out the peanut butter. All three were fabulous. Grab a team member and get a sample. Many bulk food items including baking goods, spices, nuts, oils, vinegars and more. Definitely worth a quick trip to see them if you're a fan of Sprouts. Better bulk at reasonable prices. read more

I really enjoy the coffee selection here. This is a store that sells snacks, oils, teas and coffees to the creatives. For me though, coffee is the only reason I am a regular. It's the only place outside of the grocery store that I buy coffee from and I'm grateful for it! read more

Debbie and Evelyn during my visit were stellar. A thorough overview of the options throughout and assistance when I needed to bottle my olive oils. Mr. George was in house roasting their delicious signature beans the day of my visit and how lucky to do what he does for the community! Bulk everything coffee beans, herbs, spices, flour, candies/chocolates, dog treats, laundry and bath essentials, to your pantry BD Provisions brings back times of yesteryears in today's busy days. Appreciating simple ingredients procured local to global, and curated with zero waste in mind. Islands of bulk items are grouped accordingly with nuts seperated furthest towards the back wall, each bin labeled with ingredients, origin, and price per pound. It would be helpful to include dates of when spices were replenished, bins were last filled, and when certain items like the pistachio energy bites and granola were made fresh! The team here are especially attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable at your service. BYO clean jars and containers are encouraged. Let an associate know if you bring yours, so they can pre-weigh while you shop. I love this locally owned shop! I now buy all my oils; vinegars; freshly roasted coffees; teas; and several dark chocolate candies there! They have a wonderful selection of spices & fresh teas and so many other carefully selected baking products! I cannot name all of their beautifully displayed products at the moment; however, I can say it is well worth your time to visit. Bottom Line: Gourmet shelf-stable bulk foods store with a friendly staff. BD Provisions opened up around April 2023 on southbound Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Basically it is a gourmet grocery store selling shelf-stable foods in bulk such as bins of fun pasta shapes and vats of olive oil. The store is very organized and clean. BD Provisions has sections for coffee and tea, baking ingredients, pasta and grains, nuts, snack foods, candy, olive oils and balsamic vinegars and pet treats, among others. You can scoop or pour the desired amount of an item into a bag or bottle provided by the store or you can bring in your own Ball jars. On my first visit I indulged in various candies and snack mixes like gummy bears, honey roasted peanuts, lightly salted almonds and "Peanut Butter Chocolate Krunch" mix. I also bought a little bottle of essential oil and some cavatappi pasta. I debated the cilantro rice and ranch dressing mix but I didn't have a specific plan for those ingredients so I'll get them next time. I am also eyeing up some of the infused olive oils and the S'mores cookie mix. BD Provisions doesn't carry anything that is refrigerated (or if they do, very little) like milk and eggs so this is definitely a supplementary stop to the usual grocery store run. Customers are allowed to bring in their own standard Ball jars instead of using the store provided bags and containers. Customers can bring in a standard Ball jar and then exchange it for another Ball jar that has been sanitized by the store. I am not sure on what they consider a "standard" Ball jar size but I know they will weigh it and deduct then deduct the actual weight once the jar is filled. Since this is a gourmet grocery store things are a little on the pricy side but its a fun experience and you can just get what you need for a certain recipe. I really appreciate stores like this when I just need a little of an infrequently used ingredient for a specific recipe like two bay leaves or a half cup of bulgar wheat. I am honestly kicking myself for not discovering BD sooner--what an epic find! This place is a hidden gem, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for everything I didn't even know I needed (and now can't live without--balsamic, vinaigrettes, and freshly grinded herbs for premade dips). This place is just so lovely. A little pricey, but that's just the area and the selection, so...it is what it is. You can find every type of flour, grain, granola, and treat you want. Plus, fresh coffee and beans, all sorts of gems here. The smells alone are worth the trip. The staff is great, not too intrusive but always there to help you out. You absolutely should try a mini buckeye, just for fun. You'll definitely walk out with a bag full! read more
