We arrived to a full parking lot and you can imagine my fading excitement as I watched the two remaining chocolate frosted yeast donuts be bagged for the two customers before me in line. Don't get me wrong: Everything else looked great, but if it ain't chocolate I don't want it. I swallowed my pride and asked if there were ANY more of the prized chocolatey treats in the back. The staff took pity on me and FRESHLY DIPPED two for me. They were still warm when I got to the car and tasted what's now my favorite local donut. I was down the strip a few shops for an event, so I popped back to The Big Bean before they closed for their "Not Ready for Winter" coffee concoction. Another winner! I also picked up a couple of biscotti for later. When we did finally get around to trying them, they were incredible! Very hard and crunchy as a biscotti should be, and perfect for soaking up some coffee for dunking. And the flavors are perfect. Other people were ordering their breakfast sandwiches, which honestly looked and smelled incredible... I just didn't have room for food that day. Or, I would have totally ordered one just based off of others' orders alone! The real five-star facet here, though, was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were. I don't think team members get enough credit when they go above and beyond, but please take the time to tip or at least acknowledge the fantastic folks here!
