I wouldn't recommend this place. Came in for an alignment (yes some of my suspension components were not properly mounted and that's on me). Was told I need a new rack and pinion assembly and that some of my others suspension components were worn and loose and that they refused service due to that. Took it to a reputable shop and they said the opposite and are doing work on it now. Pricing was okay, I think $99 for an alignment. Overall not the best experience and won't be coming here again. read more

Had a Groupon for an A/C refresh. Brought the car there, after looking at it for about 45 minutes, the owner guy came and told me that I need to replace the fan of the car. Instead of $69 groupon, he gave me a list of $430. Wow... Glad I didn't get anything done and cancelled the Groupon. Turns out reading all these other reviews, this place seems to be doing this shady work to a lot of people. Wish I read the reviews before going. Glad Groupon stood behind me. I tried giving this shop the benefit of the doubt... being such a trashy looking place. They initially gave the appearance of an honest company and in fact they had me fooled that they might actually be good people. Nearly $10,000 later and my 4wheel drive still does NOT work. To top it off, they will no longer warranty their work for me because they know that they cant fix the issue. But rather than refer me to someone that can fix it, they keep taking my money. What made it worse it they laughed at me the last time I picked my vehicle up. As if this has not been a stressful enough situation, I do not need them laughing at my situation. I suppose I am the sucker that kept bringing it back to them, and shame on me for thinking that they were honest. Kings of the Dishonest Up-Sell. Took care in for exhaust work and called me later that day with a list of problems. A couple were legit, others were dishonest and all meant more $$$ for them. Synopsis: 1 - Tried to sell me a expensive transmission service with a false claim that was easily refuted. 2 - Gave me one price on the phone, then raised the price by $80 when I picked up. 3 - Up selling is their business model. Don't send your mother here. Case #1 - I had just did a full service to my transmission months ago during an engine swap. Included new seals, fluid and new torque converter. When Be Smart Auto called after my exhaust work was done, they stated that the Transmission Fluid was BLACK. Tried to get me to buy a full tranny service because there are "lots of moving parts" and black fluid means metal shavings. Tried to up-sell me again when picking it up. I have them two chances with "Are you sure the fluid was black?" I then personally re-checked the fluid and it was new and beautiful RED fluid. Clearly they are dis-honest or incompetent. Case #2 - The only reason I gave this shop a chance was they are close to my work. Quoted on the phone a parts cost of about $80 and a labor cost of $85. Then at pickup (after the scary up-sell report) they were charging me $160 for the part. (You can buy this part for $80 at any auto store) This might be an honest mistake, but we everything in writing before-hand. They did discount the part's re-sell and refunded $60. Case #3 - My listing of serious issues with my care included, (1) beyond the lie about the transmission, that (2) I had rust in my brake fluid, (3) my front end needed the bearings all re-packed with grease because the hubs were loose (yes grease keeps bearings tight), and I needed (4) front end work done. I wont argue about having loose steering, but please don't try to convince me I need to spend $$$ if I want to be safe. read more

My niece got a groupon for an alignment from these guys.. they told her she needed new inner and outer tie rods.. and it would be $700.. well guess what. I bought and put in tie rods on already back in Sept/ Oct. So WHY DO I NEED NEW ONES???? Way to try and take advantage of a teenage girl who may not know much about cars.. but isn't dumb enough to fall for mechanics crap. I do not recommend. read more

I bought a Group_On for this place a few months ago, preparing for my February emissions. Although they changed the law in Utah about having to get safety, the price was good enough not to try to return. The parking here isn't fantastic, but the service was. I tried to make an appointment and they said no. But when I got there, I had to wait, because they were "swamped." But it didn't end up being to long. And they still checked the condition of the vehicle, so I still got my safety part covered. Which was good. I found out what the smell coming from my engine was. Nothing too bad, which was a relief. They were very friendly, and affordable. I might drive back here for repairs when needed. I see some reviews in 2017 about being ripped off, I hope they have changed since then, it'd be nice to have a repair place I can trust. read more

Now our truck runs worse than it did before we took it there, which really shocked me because I had other work done on two of my other cars and they did great work. I'm so disappointed. It seems unfair to judge them based on that, but it makes it hard to rate 5 stars. Customer service, these guys get 5 stars all the way, from beginning to end. Super helpful finding time to get me in, patient with choosing which tires/price, and great even when giving my keys back. My car had been in several different mechanic shops for a month and a half and no one could help me. I brought my car to Be Auto Smart and they had my car fixed in a few days. They even called me on New Year's Day when they were closed to let me know it was their priority. They made my car a priority so I could leave to get back to college and finished a day early. When I walked in they greeted me by name and made me feel very welcomed. One guy even called and yelled at some mechanics at Tunex that screwed me over and did his best to help me out. Total shady mechanic!! Took my truck in to find out why my driver door vibrated and leaked air. They said they could only GUESS it was the weather stripping and wanted to charge me $200. Then they told me my battery was shot and wanted another $200 to replace it and kept asking me if I wanted the work done. I knew my battery was only three years old and wasn't acting up at all. They charged me $50 to tell me this, when every Auto place checks your battery for free. Took it to NAPA and guess what? The battery was just fine. And btw, the door hinge just needed to be tightened. I promise I'm doing my best to tell everybody not to spend your money on this crook. read more

I had taken my 12 year old Subaru in to another shop quite a while before and was told there was all kinds of things wrong with it. Needless to say I didn't have the money ( over 200k) to fix them all so I let it just sit for over a year. I got tired of not having a vehicle so when they opened last year I took it over there and told them (showed them what the previous shop had given me) and they looked over the list. He told me he would check it out get back to me. He did just that. and it was only 1200 to fix everything and get it up and running and inspected. He was even so kind as to kill a few spiders he found had made a home in it. It is so rare to find places like this anymore...especially when you are single and female and know nothing about cars. I grew up with a dad that had friends who would always take care of my car issues so I never had to worry about it until recently. This place is so awesome and I really like that they are sooo close to me and I trust them implicitly..have a few issues right now so I will go back for those and inpections in the next few days..... read more
