Both services were top-notch! She used hard wax, and it was a pain-free experience! The results were very clean, too. Erin was very thorough with the facial. We went over my daily routine and she gave suggestions for products, never pushing for me to purchase salon/spa brands. She took her time doing extractions, which I am very thankful for! Other aestheticians I've been to never took the time to clear out my pores like Erin did. I was so relaxed after the massage (bundled in with the facial), I was ready to take a nap! I had such a positive experience at Glow, I already scheduled a follow up facial appointment. The location was very convenient to get to as well. She offered me a hot, lavender scented satchel for my shoulders, which I accepted. After that I was asked to fill out some paperwork and then was moved to a relaxation room. All of this was great! Then the massage therapist retrieved me ..... She walked me to a room in the back. Asked me what time I arrived (which was 20 min early and the massage started 10 minutes late). She then inquired if I was asked questions by the staff in the front, to which I answered no. The masseuse then proceeded to tell me that I should have been asked questions and the staff was not doing their job. After that was a long sigh and I was rushed through a series of questions, told to remove my clothes down to my "comfort level" and she left. The 60 minute massage lasted a grand total of 45 min. After, I was escorted to the front and left to pay. I likely will not be returning to this location as my massage was shorter than what I paid for and the massage therapist was less then friendly.

The procedure was minimally uncomfortable, and she gave very clear follow up instructions. I had bad experiences at a salon in Medford and swore them off completely. I was on medical leave from work and working through some CPTSD. I figured I might try to work through my racial trauma regarding nail salons... I was scheduled to see Lisa for my pedicure and dip w/ tips manicure. She immediately rubbed me the wrong way by ushering me towards the more expensive polishes and then rushing me as I tried to select a "cheaper" one. This was the only time I remember getting a pedicure that I didn't pull out my phone to play a game or listen to a podcast. It was so quick. Too quick. She was rough with my cuticles, and didn't put any lotion on my feet (I left the salon ashy). The polish looked fine, but within 2 weeks started chipping. I can't remember the last time I had toe polish chipped. It gets better. I wanted my nails in a squoval. I wanted red on most nails, and a nude color with a leopard design on the rest. She didn't listen and didn't care. She applied the tips and immediately started trimming the sides off. I stopped her and repeated I wanted squoval. She acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I said, "Fine, let's do rounded." Dear reader- kindly direct your attention to the attached pictures. She gave me thick talons. She did not listen. And she did not care. Once she put a clear coat on, I went to exam her work and she told me not to move my hands. I was exhausted at this point. I realized at home she didn't do any work cutting or cleaning cuticles. Now I realized it had nothing to do with messing up the nails. She didn't want me inspecting her work. She knew she did me dirty. Yet when I went to pay, (via Venmo, to the owner's account) she kept tap-tap-tapping on her Venmo card and saying "TIP. TIP. TIIP. TIP." I told her I can only do one thing at once. And I have ADHD. But she kept doing it. She did not listen. And she did not care. Tap tap. TIP. Tap. TIIIIIIPP. I hate that I tipped 18%. I should have given her the few dollar bills at the bottom of my purse. Oh. I'm not even done! The true kicker... I had my watch and chain bracelet on, as I always do. I took them off and planed them near the phone stand as the manicure started. Before I went to pay I could not find the bracelet. Only my watch was there. I'm looking for it and she keeps telling me it's in my purse. No. It's not. But I looked anyways because I just knew... As I was "looking" in my purse, she miraculously finds it, near the wall that I never went near. She took my bracelet when I went to wash my hands and was banking on me not paying attention or just being a stupid monkey. The owner, Tiana I think her name is, seemed pleasant. But she needs to get rid of Lisa. She insulted my intelligence and stole from me. I laughed as she gave me a stamped loyalty card. You treated me poorly, and I'm supposed to come back? There's a reason so many women, especially Black women, are choosing to do their own nails at home.
