The pain was so intense, immobilizing, plus normal OTC pain killers did very little, and there was no position that offered relief. In the past after "over doing" it a little rest I was good to go. After four days of taking it easy it was worse. On recommendation of someone with more chronic back pain I called Center for Musculoskeletal Care and was able to get a appointment to be evaluated by Dr Pys. The evaluation was thorough and used non-invasive technology to get a precise map of issues with my back/spine. The technology also clearly tracks the efficacy of the treatment(s). The practice is a wife / husband team who are as friendly as they are professional. They immediately began a treatment plan (with some homework) to target my issues. I felt some relief on the first visit but with each successive visit (and being "somewhat" diligent with my homework ) I was back to normal very quick. I plan to schedule more sporadic appointments for preventative maintenance as this makes sense to me to track condition and tune-up as needed. Hopefully this keeps my back pain behind me as it were! This occurred every single time I visited and it got to the point where I asked if this was how they treated all of their patients because I do not believe they could be in business if so. I am 30 years old and on my most recent (and last visit) I was essentially yelled at and told that I am no longer welcome unless I schedule twice a week. I was told to not take it "personally" and opted to walk out of the office as I was being yelled at because there's zero reason I should be subjected to this type of behavior as their client. They are unprofessional, rude, and not flexible.

I strained my back showing snow in Feb 2021, saw a couple of chiros, a couple PTs, had X-rays and an MRI -- nothing was helping. I coincidentally heard about Dr. Akin from a friend of a friend and started w/ him in March 2022. Our first appointment was enlightening: So many things not even related to my back that he picked up on that had been causing mild discomfort for years; for me, a locked up ankle that was causing tightness on that same hip and pain in the opposite heel and knee. A lot of drs will tell you low back pain is a result of a weak core.
