I decided on the delicious looking and huge banana nut muffin and boy am I glad I did! It was so fresh cinnamony and full of nuts. since I'm a creature of habit, I ordered my usual: a half sweet iced oat milk mocha latte with three shakes of cinnamon powder mixed into the espresso. I came here almost everyday we were on vacation. Their house made syrup are really good. Snickerdoodle was by far my favorite, but I also really liked the honey lavender. My sister really liked the Vanilla Island breeze, but it was a little sweet and so she asked for it with half the amount of syrup when she went back. Love love love this place! My friends and I were in the area, and we went here every day we could (they are closed on Sundays as an FYI). We all tried their specialty / in-season drinks, and they were absolutely delicious. I personally tried the Ube Sweet Cream Latte, and the Ube flavoring was the perfect balance between sweet and traditional Ube. Each time we went, we sat for 20-30 minutes and played some of the games available. This place definitely has a decent amount of seating areas, so it's perfect for a little hangout with friends. We noticed a large group of ladies having some sort of meet-up here, so it's definitely a spot for community. The servers were all also very friendly and helpful when ordering. Saw this place on Facebook and decided to stop by to try it out. The staff are wonderful and very helpful with explaining the menu items. They actually roast their own coffee which is special in and of itself. The coffee is excellent and they sell it on site. The atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. They seem to do a very steady business. The prices I thought were very much in line with other coffee shops but quality was top notch. We even met another nice couple that we had never met before. My mom and I went here for a coffee date while I was in town for vacation. She had heard great things and wanted to stop in. We each had a bagel, which are supplied by Bagel Dock in Calabash. There's a toaster and microwave available for customers to use for these. My mom loved her snickerdoodle latte and I really liked my peanut butter cold brew with peanut butter honey cold foam. There were groups of people playing cards and just hanging out inside -- it would be the perfect place for a book club or Bible study to gather. Morning coffee as I'm exploring the South Carolina coastline this weekend. I stopped in here and had a warm greeting and friendly faces. Great to see the owner being up front and present, making conversations with customers. There was a nice flow of folks coming and going on Saturday including a women's group. My cortado was excellent. Smooth and bright and very tasty. The follow-up cup of Ethiopian was just the boost I needed after a sleepless night. I love that they make their own flavored syrups! Stopped in for the first time today after hearing many great things about Be Known. The owners, Ron and Kristy are very warm and welcoming and make you feel as if you are a regular. The atmosphere is very relaxing with plenty of seating for conversation, reading and even working. In addition to coffee and tea,have a small selection of bagels from The Bagel Dock and a small selection of pastries. I got a peppermint white mocha and it was like the perfect hug in a cup. You can tell that they put love and care into every drink that they make. I will definitely be back again and will bring a book or 2 to read while I'm here. lol read more

The inside was cute and includes lots of seating options -- tables, couches, etc. It wasn't overly crowded when I stopped in on a weekday afternoon, so it could make a good spot for anyone looking for a place to do some remote work. The staff was great, but some of the clientele were incredibly off putting. A mob of old ladies showed up for some sort of domino game session. They were a loud and unpleasant bunch which shot the vibe straight to hell. Might not have been that bad if they weren't also a bit rude. Would have been 5 stars if not for the irritating "customers". Definitely worth a visit. Not sure if this a routine thing or not, but I would avoid this place on Mondays around 2pm. read more

First things first, coffee and atmosphere were great. But this place gets 5 stars for just exceptional customer service. We're visiting for New Years and I typically bring my own machine; yeah I'm a coffee snob. But unfortunately I left the most important piece at home, the portafilter. I was frantic when I realized it, as there's zero way to make coffee without it. As soon as I drove up and see Veteran Owned on the door, I figured my chance increased above zero. I walk in, order two coffees and explain my plight. Ron doesn't even hesitate. He reaches on top of his machine, hands me an extra portafilter, and tells me to bring it back when I'm done.
