Cute, cute vibes at this lil Calabash coffee spot. Truly does give off a cottage feel, both in the shop, and due to the fact that it's located in a small village with other adorable shops. Lots of warm, welcoming boho energy, complete with friendly baristas. The menu had a decent number of coffee options to choose from, which I greatly appreciated. While the drinks that we ordered were both a little underwhelming compared to some other local coffee shops we've tried along the cost, they were still good. Note that the shop it self is reallllly small inside with very limited seating and a cramped feel while waiting, so anyone who struggles with feeling claustrophobic might want to plan for that. read more

I am joyfully obsessed with this unassuming little gem! I happened to notice it as we drove past, so we popped in for a cold drink. They have a great, widely varied menu of both tea and coffee drinks, with options all across the caffeinated to decaf/herbal spectrum. We both got the Mango Ginger Green Peach iced tea (with added lotus bean for a caffeine boost), and it was delicious!!! It's the perfect drink for an afternoon at the beach. On top of the drinks, they have a lot of baked goods, and an array of cute little knick-knacks. The interior of the cottage is adorably quirky, and there's shaded outdoor seating as well. The staff were lovely, and very good explaining all our options and what each beverage is like. 100% enthusiastically recommend the Coffee Cottage! read more

Love , Love , love this place. Coffee is roasted locally. They have these hibiscus teas that are sugar free and very , very good. When my wife and I drive in to the beach, we delay getting to the house so we can get a tea from these guys. The staff is personable and orders come out quick. They remember us from visit to visit! Can get packed and it's in a very small location so I would not recommend taking a group and expecting to hang out inside. read more

I was in there this morning with a friend of mine having some coffee. I was appalled to find out that they have no restrooms for customers. My friend had driven from Pawley's Island and needed a restroom and to not provide that kind of facility at a place like a coffee and tea place is just unacceptable to me. Relatively easy to find, the bright green building sits back from the main road. There is a large parking lot in front serving all the small businesses in the shopping area so can get crowded, but there is more parking available than most areas. I didn't see a specific handicapped space but there are many spaces adjacent to the building. There is a sidewalk further from the entrance which is a bit easier to travel than walking across the shorter distance, so choose your parking option accordingly. The interior is cozy and inviting even if a bit crowded. More than a couple people in line to order would require snaking out the door. There are a few comfy chairs and small tables inside as well as outside seating in the shade. The menu of specialty drinks is extensive as is their listing of flavor additives. The Salty Kisses is a salted caramel and mocha coffee drink which was just about perfect. The flavorings are high quality and the coffee base is excellent. This may be the best salted caramel drink I have had. My dining partner had a fall seasonal apple pecan cinnamon, which was apple pie in a cup. Another outstanding coffee drink. We also selected a couple items from their pastry and sweets case. The cherry Danish was excellent with plenty of cherry filling. The apple fritter had noticeable chunks of apple. Both tasted wonderful. Among the many coffee options in the area, the Coffee Cottage has to be at the top of the list. read more

Found this gem while passing through Calabash off Hwy 179. I think the place looks so cute from the outside, I love the outdoor seating area, then once you step-I. inside of the store, and you'll see the cool set-up, cozy decors and the atmosphere! Definitely a good idea for coffee date. I ordered the drink of the week "white chocolate pecan" it was made perfectly; with the creamy taste and sweetness! I didn't had any of their baked goods, but they do have variety to choose from and they looks delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and will make sure to stop by again next time I am in the area. read more

This coffee shop is located in the Calabash Cottages group of stores and most recently housed Turtle Crossing Cupcakes & Bakery. It's the shop closest to the parking lot. The coffee shop has the same owner as Calabash Garden Tea Room, so they already have a record of great service and selections. This store offers the typical coffee choices, along with an excellent selection of tea (as you'd expect). I especially enjoyed my iced chai latte today served by a friendly barista. The interior is undergoing some changes as they transition to a coffee & tea shop. Right now it's cluttered with a lot of "treasures" which I was told will be removed soon. There are a few tables inside and several outside tables with seating. WiFi is available if you want to do some work under the trees while enjoying your treats. Fresh scones, cookies and muffins are offered at a reasonable price. The Calabash area really needed a casual coffee and tea shop in this area, so I'm glad I found the Coffee Cottage. read more

Well.... I was not impressed by the peppermint mocha! I believe the coffee was burnt! It tasted like cigarette ashes! My wife had the apple crisp frappe that she enjoyed.
