Well call it luck (sort of) my flight was delayed for several hours and call it luck (sort of) I really needed to get my nails done. Just my luck (for real) Be Relax was in terminal A and I had the pleasure of meeting Sabrina. What a wonderful soul, nail technician and just a really great person. Be Relax is typical airport vibe, you might get in or need to wait a bit for anything from a massage chair, a real massage or in my case a mani/pedi. Sabrina has been in the industry for 30 years and was knowledgeable amongst awesome as I mentioned earlier. Thank you for making delays at the airport worth while! read more

I called ahead and made an appointment for my layover. They took me early. I had a 30 minute chair massage with Brandon. My massage was fantastic - he asked what areas I needed to have worked and what pressure I liked. Throughout the massage he checked in to make sure everything was going well. We walked in after being asked if we needed help. I said yes we both want 30 min chair massages. There are 3 employees in there with no customers. The girl asked us to sign in and they would call us when they had a cancellation , wait what? I'm confused. They have no customers in the store, I don't understand. Then she confirmed that we were not even guaranteed a massage. Not sure what their business model is but this doesn't seem to be lucrative or effective. Need to mention- One employee is sitting in a massage chair and the other 2 after signing us in sit down at the nail table. I'd say this place is a racket! And management needs to look into the employee productivity. read more

I fly through DTW fairly often. Time-permitting, I always try to stop in for a chair massage or manicure at Be Relax. On my most recent layover in DTW today, I was able to enjoy a classic manicure to burn off some time before my flight back to LAS. They were full when I arrived with manicures and massages. However, I listed my name in their queue and was called 30/40mins later while I moseyed around the airport to get my steps in. I haven't had much time to squeeze in a manicure before the holidays. This was the most amazing manicure I've enjoyed yet! Yes, you pay a premium for this service since you're at the airport and it's super convenient . I never imagined a manicure could be so professionally done at an airport spa; highly recommend. They even graciously allowed me to spend 30 mins in their massage chairs following my manicure - it was pure bliss!! This was a welcomed treat!! read more

I went to BeRelax originally hoping to snag a facial between flights. Luckily for me, they didn't have that service available today. I ended up "settling" for a 45 min table massage with Brandon, which quickly turned into the exact experience my body needed before a transatlantic flight. I met one of the best manicurist I have ever met and she works at DTW airport. Her name is Reven. I snapped a nail on my way to my gate. In Delta terminal. I was in pain and just trying to get a Band-Aid or some glue. Walked by Be Relax, asked for help, and she repaired my nail within 10 minutes! I dropped by before my flight to see if they had any availability and was quickly greeted and warmly welcomed by two staff. There was 20 minutes before the next opening, so I decided to try one of their new massage chairs. After 20 minutes, I quickly felt relaxed with reduced muscle tension, which was much need after a multi-city trip. I then followed up with a chair massage with Marie, who was incredible. They absolutely never seem to have people to do actual neck massages even though 3 people standing around doing nothing. However they absolutely push the automatic chair massage. Came in for mani/pedi and was told it would be 30min. 25min later someone came out and said "it will be another 30min, she can take you after her break and we can't guarantee". Can't guarantee what? That you can provide me a service you made me already wait 30min for and now another 30min for what? Keep in mind, there were 4 of them there, 2 standing around doing nothing. Wont be back. I wish I didn't have to write this review but my experience was so bad I had to. I had a 4 hour sit in DTW and needed a manicure. There were two people in the store who seemed bothered when I asked if they would have time for a gel manicure. They said they were busy and that there was a change in staff at 2 PM and they could fit me in there. I came back at two and had approximately one hour before my flight. Which is plenty of time for a manicure. The nail tech moved at a glacial pace. 30 minutes in she had yet to apply color. I had to remind her of my time constraints. The prices were ridiculous. $62 for a manicure. As an airline employee I received a discount but that still didn't change the astronomical pricing. While on my next flight, my thumb nail color fell off! Just fell off the nail! Do not come here. You will regret spending your money here! read more
