We walked in and Lia was settling another guests tab, who was complaining she wasn't aware of the gel polish upgrade. I was annoyed and I butted in saying you should've known there's an up charge. If you're asking for gelish it's always more. Also, you saw the sign? Did the lady not know how to read? It's all in bright yellow spots. Extra charge! Honestly, I was just stressed. Like, just pay for it? What's an extra 19$. If we're being real, I was rude for that, but I was tired from a red eye and cranky. Lia was so kind though. Continuously apologizing for something that wasn't her fault. She helped us with our priority pass redemption and it truly makes having access worthwhile when you meet lovely people like her. The regular chairs were too small for me, and my friend was too short for the back. The Oxygen was nice though, weird future, but it's so extra for no reason. Next time I'll upgrade to the zero gravity. read more

Brandon had the time to give me a 1 hr lay down massage. I'm recovering from knee surgery and old injuries from a car accident in my SI, back, shoulder and neck. He fixed me up enough and helped me stretch so things weren't spasming anymore when I walked out. I went from grumpy to being able to handle the rest of our Detroit delay in less pain! Myisha gave me an upper body massage, primarily on my back as I requested. I honestly didn't expect the best quality service at an airport location but I got one of the best massages I've ever had. I'm a very small person, and have frequently left a massage feeling about the same because it seems that many massage therapists are afraid to put a lot of pressure given my size, regardless of the fact I've told them to dig deep. Myisha did an excellent job working out the tension in my back, and she was so sweet and welcoming. Throughout the massage, she asked me if she was providing the pressure I wanted, and she was! One of the secrets to enjoyable travel is taking the opportunituy to indulge in a bit of personal time amidst the hubbub of the experience. That was the case for me on Thursday, 5/22/25 as I journeyed home to Loas Angeles from Frankfurt via DTW. Having time on my hands and my hands themselves in rough shape, including two hangnails, I happened upon the Be Relax location on the concourse. Timing and luck were on my side and Reven was able to attend to me immediately with a manicure to get me back in the game. Yes, the service was top-notch quality, including a sea-salt scrub that left my hands feel smooth and envigorated. But more importantly, the services included time chatting with an insightful professional which allowed me to relax and appreciate the services while also capturing the benefit of positive social engagement. Occuring during an 18 hour travel day comprised of sitting in aluminum tubes alnoe among a crowd and only stimulated by either the seat back entertainment or other self-provided distractions, this time of quality social engagement was an additional restorative. The next time you are transiting through DTW and you have the time (took about 35 minutes or so for a manicure), avail yoursel of the opportunity meet Reven and partake of her nail care services. They shorted me on time. 2 women who sat down at the same time as me got up at the same time as me, when I asked about it, I was told the massagers decided to extend their time but they still got to pay a 20 minute price while I had to pay 30 minutes, when I didn't receive a 30 minute massage. I am not sure what I expected in terms of quality. I I guess I was thinking an "airport massage" was to a "regular massage" would be like a vending machine tuna sandwich is to a expertly prepared ahi tuna fillet. I was wrong, very wrong! My therapist (Kayla) was amazing and literally one of the better massages I have had in a very long time. To put this in context I get massages on a regular basis and have tried various places literally all over the world, so I feel qualified to rank her skills.
