After my mothers cat Mittens passed away, she brought her to the Erie County SPCA and paid for a private cremation. She was told she would receive a postcard when Mittens' remains were ready to be picked up. Everyday my mother checked for the postcard hoping she could finally bring her baby home. After more than a month with no postcard, she called multiple times and left voicemails and sent an email asking for an update. None of her messages were returned. Eventually, after being unable to get a response, she went to the SPCA in person. That is when she was told they had "lost" Mittens. Staff told her this had never happened before and that Mittens was likely "disposed of." When my mother asked what that meant, no one would give her a clear answer. She still has no idea what happened to her beloved Mittens, whether she was disposed of in the garbage, cremated with other animals, or something else entirely. She has been left with no answers, no closure and just told her that she would receive a check refund in the mail. What makes this even more painful is that our messages went unanswered for weeks. We can't help but wonder when anyone was planning to tell us what had happened. We only learned the truth because my mother went there herself. Losing a pet is heartbreaking enough. To then lose the opportunity to bring her home because of this level of carelessness has caused our family immeasurable pain. Mittens was deeply loved, and she deserved to be treated with dignity and respect. And she deserves to be home with her family. We would not want any other family to experience what ours has gone through.

We called this place THREE times to enroll our puppy in classes. The first time, a man answered and…read moresaid he wasn't in the office and that he'd call me back in 10 minutes...he never called back. The second time, a woman answered and told me she'd call me later that day...she never called. The third time we spoke to a new woman (on speakerphone) who told us the day, date & time of the class and she confirmed our enrollment. We showed up (15 minutes early per their request) and there was one older employee doing agility with her senior dog, she largely ignored us. Then another woman, also an employee, came in asking us what we were doing there. We said we were there for puppy class and wondered where the instructor (and other people/puppies) were. She said that the instructor's Poodle was having surgery that week so there's no way she would have been starting a new class that day. Ridiculous since both my husband and I clearly heard the date & time AND immediately we both set reminders on our phone. We really wanted to take our puppy here since they have a pretty nice looking agility course and their classes included an intro to it, but they're so disorganized. It is clear that the owner(s) and instructors don't communicate too often or too well. I have five friends who recently got puppies and asked me if this place was good and I told them to steer clear from it.

Bailey is not one of those chill pitties you see on Instagram. She's feral and obsessive and exhausting, kind of like a guy I once dated in college. My most recent visit to Veterinary Alternatives was our second visit. Our very first visit about a month ago was extremely impressive. We had been seeing another vet with no real results. At our first visit to the other vet, Bailey was put on a long course of antibiotics and a steroid. I'm pretty sure those meds interrupted her gut health because we had to go back a second time when she started throwing up and showing signs of pika. During that visit, she was injected with some kind of peptide, and then not long after that, her nose started peeling. It was just one thing after another and at least $300 per visit. That's when I finally turned to Dr. Koenig. Our first visit was about 90 minutes and was extremely thorough (as you'd expect in an hour-and-a-half-long visit). She told us some things about Bailey that we hadn't realized - like that she had a leg that she didn't want touched and that she had a heart murmur. She did some chiropractic type adjustments with her and cold laser therapy. We went home with a couple of herbs and didn't cost as much as my 15-minute visit with the other vet. The second visit was a follow-up to see how the herbs were helping with Bailey's leg and with her ... let's call it neuroses. I was struggling to get Bailey to take the one pellet because it couldn't be taken with food, so I couldn't report back on that one. But I believe her nose is almost completely healed. She is still a bit neurotic. As I stated above, somehow Dr. Alisa was able to get those needles in Bailey without any objections. She laid still on an infrared mat, and we went home with a refill of the one herb that we were able to feed Bailey with food. Having a vet whose treatments align with my own beliefs is so reassuring. We use holistic at home for ourselves and I believe we are seeing some results with Bailey as well. I believe in preventive care as much as possible, and that's where we are right now - getting some healthy habits and herbs to get Bailey back to where she was and to continue on a path of good health. Even if you never go for a follow-up visit, I encourage you to take your pet in for a consultation and see if it's a good fit.

Dr. Koenig noted some tenderness in his back which actually I had noticed but really didn't think much of it. She was wonderful and gave both dogs acupuncture and cold laser therapy after their evaluations. Honestly, the one with the heart condition hasn't been coughing hardly at all and the other is more spry . What I really liked, besides the wonderful treatment, was that it wasn't like a vets office at all and that there was a nice comfy bed that the dogs got examined on. Neither dog was stressed at all during the visit! During Covid the doctor does allow one pet owner to go in with their pet. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Koenig for your holistic veterinary needs

Megan has many years of agility experience under her belt and it shows! She is very patient with new teams starting out in the sport and is helpful in correcting both ends of the leash. We have also dabbled in Canine Fitness classes with Leah. She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the anatomy and physiology of dogs. Knowing that Leah strives for continued education keeps my mind at ease when she works with my pups. Each student has a custom plan tailored to their particular needs, as well as very detailed homework to do after class is over. This is the nonjudgmental environment that my husband and I have been looking for since my first pup was 8 weeks old. I wish we would have found WLTC sooner, but it's better late than never!

They will not refund our money after providing no services for us!!! NO WHERE does it say "no refunds" or anything along those lines. They've given us the run around for weeks now, saying they'll pass it on to the CEO as they're the only one who can process refunds - we've heard nothing. Again, no service provided and kept our money (and $750 is not a small amount!).

Miranda is a puppy/animal behaviorist and trains by the positive enforcement clicker-method. My puppy is, of course, brilliant, so I love it when he catches on that he's supposed to accomplish complex manuevers such as "down" or "sit" or "don't eat". Miranda also works with problem dogs, and I've heard only good things about her. I'm taking off a star for the physical location, but I'm sure the rent is reasonable and it's not like one can make a fortune off of dog training and doggy day care.
