This 3 star review is not for the work, but, for the difference in prices I am charged for the same service. First visit for dipped nails was with Mike. I was charged $31.00. The next two times I came, I was serviced by two different gals and charged $33.00. This last time I came, I was serviced by young man and charged $35.00! I just don't understand how different operators can charge different amounts for the same service? Not sure if this is the normal practice, but, makes me hesitant to return. read more

Went to this salon this morning shortly after they opened specifically for a pedicure for my daughter and myself. We waited for nearly 20 mins before we were given spa chairs. We waited 33 minutes before my pedicure finally began. I asked for the basic $$20 pedi+ callus remover and French tip. I timed the lady doing my pedicure and she was completely finished cleaning my cuticles, removing my callus and painting my nails in less than 6 minutes! She didn't do the hot stones, 5 minute massage or lotion the basic pedicure included. Then as she wrapped up another employee began to attend the lady that arrived after us so I spoke up and asked "when will my daughters pedicure start?" And I got a silent gesture. I decided to speak up and politely state that she forgot a few elements of the basic pedicure and that I don't want to be charged for services I did not receive. She responded "I won't charge you for French tip" so I said I still want French tip but I'm not paying for a basic pedicure because that's not what I received. So then she changed it to I won't charge you for callus remover. She never apologized or anything. She also attempted to charge me $20 for my daughters pedicure even though the gentleman at the door told me it would be $17. For these many reasons I will not return and I would never recommend. One star for location. read more

I really enjoy going to Gala Nails Spa for the convenience in location. They are all very pleasant and make sure they are engaged with you as their customer. My best advice is to ignore any negative comments on Yelp for this nail shop. I've been a customer for two years and I love this place. It is absolutely the best nail shop in Glendale. The salon is clean, peaceful and relaxing. The team that works here is highly professional and are always willing to fit you into their schedule. They spend the time to make sure your service is just right. The facility is pretty and very clean. I would give this place a zero if I could. I had a refill on a full set done here, I noticed the same day that few were cracked, and the very next day two of my nails were broken. I took them all off and went in next day to fix it. I set up an appointment and had to wait over 30 minuets for the rude men to tell me that they refuse to give me my money back and they will not do a new set on me, wether I pay for it or not. He embarrassed me in front of the people in the line, and was very rude. This place seems to be nice, until you ask them to fix the bad service that they did on you. Do not let them trick you in with lower prices, it is lower for a reason. I will not come back to this place again, and I advise to look somewhere else. read more

I've been coming here for a while now, and it's usually really great, but today was just horrible!!! I booked my appointment well in advance with Ruby, and she started on my fill. Then another customer came in, who had apparently booked a pedicure with Ruby at the same time, and Ruby asked if Van could finish my nails, and I said sure since I was more than halfway done. Well, Van was so busy with her personal call that she totally ignored me when I continued to tell her I wanted a design. When I finally interrupted her from her call, she said she was busy and didn't have time... Why bother helping out when apparently your personal call was more important? She should have declined to help. When I approached Ruby and told her I was unhappy with this situation, she asked if I could wait 30 minutes and she would fix my nails. I told her no, the person getting the pedicure should be the one to wait since I was there before she was. I was just told sorry, and that was it. Worst customer service... this is not how you retain your clientele. The work is good here but how you treat your customers is more important. Really disappointed- I thought I had found my new nail shop; but this last experience provided proof that I need to keep looking.... I went to have dip nails and pedicure. I picked a pedicure color to match the nail color I had selected; pedicure was done 1st and was great. Dip nails ended up being a very different color that what I selected (and what my toes had. Already been painted. I pointed this out to the staff - they just said sorry; no offer to correct and still charged full price. Very disappointing. Less than 2 wks ago I had a full set of white tips applied, 4 have now popped off. I've NEVER had this issue in the past. Upon contacting Gala nails, requesting a new full set as other nails look questionable, they refused, wanting to repair those needing it and charge for a fill for the rest. Additionally, they will not see me within the next few hours or tomorrow afternoon as they are too "busy". My full set with my daughter's dip came to $90 with tip. DO NOT GO HERE, they do not stand by their work, and, considering the quality are extremely overpriced. read more

So glad i decided to stop here. It is such a cute and clean nail salon. Upon walking in the manager sat me down in the chair i would get my full set done and brought me a cold bottle of water. He was very nice and welcoming. My nail tech was Stacy and she did the best job on my nails. They came out perfect and were everything i wanted. She took her time and did not rush through any process, she even helped me pick a nail color and there were tona to choose from (very good brands). She was friendly and we had a conversation the whole time. I have not gotten this good of a nail job in forever. I am definitely going to be a regular here! Will probably go back this weekend for a pedi. To make this place even better is that they are running a 20% off special until labor day weekend. I walked in and was greeted with attitude. No hi how are you just what do you need? I asked if they take walk-ins and if so do they have time for a pedi. Since I've moved to Glendale , I began to come here since it's the nearest place to my house . I came by this Sunday , asked for a full set and pedi . Once I changed my mind to a gell manicure since my daughters had gotten a little overwhelmed & where ready to leave . I came here looking to find a new regular nail place since my usual place was always booked up. The first 2 times I came here were okay, my nails didn't look as good as the place I used to go to but they were good enough. I came in this morning to get a fill and the ombré nails as well as a pedicure and I have never seen uglier nails in my life. Not only were they ugly but he also made me bleed multiple times which you can also see in the pictures. I showed up at about 9:30 and they still weren't open even thought it says they open at 9. They're rude and judgmental, I had asked like the first time I was there how much something was and he said "too much for you". I only came here again bc my place couldn't fit me in and I didn't know what other nail salon to go since i was running short on time. My normal nail place was closed on Sunday and we came here because it was open close and convenient. I tried to be optimistic when we walked in and were barely greeted with a nod towards chairs and no friendly hello. When we were finally sat in the pedicure chairs we still had no conversation with the tech and the nail color was painted on very haphazardly and the temperature in the salon was very warm. I left with over 4 mosquito bites and a paint job that I could have done better at home with. Super rude and I am very displeased and will never be back. I still shake my head thinking about this awful experience and I'm disgusted. I paid money to wait around, be ignored and for someone who clearly had no idea to do nails, do mine. I went in on the 14th my nails started lifting two days after and turned yellow (with a gel top coat-should not even happen with gel), went in today to show the owner and he didn't seem to care. The front desk girl said he would take care of it. When it came down to it another guy did my nails. He charged me full price for my fill, before he started the fill I saw he was going to use pink powder and told him, the previous lady used a clear powder. He still went right head and filed my nails with the pink and now I have two shades of acrylic fills on my nails. What kind of service is this, horrible!!! read more
