Absolutely the best service I've ever had at a small shop like this. My best friend and I stopped in for lunch and I believe the owner, super nice Calabrese, behind the counter sparked up a conversation about Italy. He was so friendly and told us all about his family, background and a lot about the Pepperoncini Festival they do there. He even put up a video of a walking tour of Tropea for us on their TV, we loved every second we spent in here. I wish I got his name! If I didn't live in CT I would be here all the time! Now for the food, we both had the Francesca special and they were amazing sanwiches. Everything you could want; grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, pesto, red roasted peppers. Fantastic. Got an everything bagel, egg, cheese, & turkey bacon for $10. Taste was good but not sure about their sanitary practices because the guy who works the register grabbed my bagel without gloves (he also did that to everyone's bagels). I just called into the deli to ask if they had a Yelp page or somewhere I could leave a review. The owner picks up and says, "Yelp? I don't think we have one. Well I didn't set one up. But people do leave reviews somewhere!" while laughing out loud. These people are old school, salt of the Earth. They just want to see you enjoy your food and leave the deli with a smile on their face. I wish we had more delis like this still around. What a miserable bagel experience. I am on the verge of tears. I walk in and order a taylor ham egg and cheese salt and pepper. He then goes SO PORK ROLL rudely and interrupts me. He asks me and my friend if we are paying together and separate we say separate and he literally goes oh so you guys aren't close. He kept making weird comments the whole damn time it's the guy with the glasses we were so uncomfortable. The bagel tastes like paper and was so depressing. Also had ketchup i didn't say ketchup. One of our favorite family owned and run spots in Pt Beach, esp for lunch! The owners are there every time we go in, are amazingly friendly and welcoming. Food options are endless and their cheesesteaks are some of my favorites! Everything is made fresh, comes out fast, location can't be beat right in downtown Pt Beach. Prices are great and the whole sandwiches (dozens of options) are easily two meals unless you're really hungry. Always have creative and delicious specials; avocado toast with goat cheese and a few other items I can't remember is esp good. They bring the food out to your table with a smile and always talk to the family for a bit. Love supporting family owned and operated establishments and this is one of the best kept secrets in Pt Beach. Also run great student specials for the kids during the school year. The bagels are great. I was so disappointed to go in today and see a man behind the counter (the owner I believe) not wearing a mask. Additionally there was a customer with no mask waiting at the counter for her order to be completed. I will say that when I walked in, the nam behind the counter put a mask on covering his mouth. I would give this 0 stars if I could. The employees are terrible. We ordered and several people behind us were served before us. Here's the worst part, a women's order was wrong and she was trying to catch her train she just asked for her money back. After getting money back she went to take her bagel and the employee (older women with curly dark hair) threw a hot coffee at her. The employees didn't apologize to us and we were standing behind the women who got hit. We could have been scalded. Haven't even tried the food yet. But I'm already put off.
