Good bagel and a decent price point. It's centrally located (downtown location) but I was able to find street parking easily. They have helpful staff and a good vibe inside. Plenty of seating. I got a salt bagel with egg and cheese which was very good- a little smaller than I expected (I'm from NJ so used to huge bagels). This downtown Wilmington outlet of a place that originated closer to the beach has a wide bagel-based menu. I was impressed by their range of vegan options (and indeed kind of kicked myself for getting regular butter). It was easy to pay and quickly ready. The sundried tomato bagel had the tangy, savory flavor I expected. The bagel itself was fine, but not a great bagel, fairly bready and not rich and sour the way the top notch ones are. But compared to other shops, they were less flavorful and didn't hold up as well when you freeze them. Plus, THE LINE and the Covid protocols...Oh my. It took forever to get our order in. Maybe our fault for wandering in to place it instead of ordering ahead and getting it through the carryout window. But overall, just sort of alright. Tagged along with my bf during his work trip and found this spot. I'm 6 months pregnant and I was really craving bagels so I was devastated when I finished up ordering and realized I had left my card with him and he was then at work. The very nice guys who worked there handed me the bagel anyway and told me to just come back the next day. You could find me 10 minutes later sitting on a random bench crying and eating my bagel because I was so happy by their kindness. Today was the last day I'll be coming here. I've never had a pleasurable experience ordering here; however, today was the straw that broke the camels back. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and waited 15 minutes past the 30 minute order ETA.... Yes. 45 minutes for a bagel that takes 30 seconds to prepare. They said they were busy, but I've seen it busier so I don't buy that as an excuse. If you're looking for a better bagel and overall experience I highly recommend checking out one of the many other bagel shops in the area such as empire bagel or S&L bagel. Wasn't looking good just walking in. They force all the customers to corral by the door and then they yell at customers to shut the door because the A/C is on. (It is cool out side then it is inside). Then when you try to order, the staff has one of theoae stupid useless COVID windows up in your face and it is covered in signs so you can't even see the staff. Ordered two bagels and we always specify to have them toasted. Well they didn't toast them. When we asked if they could toast them they said their toaster was broken. This is a bagel shop!
