Well, after my negative review (about the new pricing policy) they did reach out, which is appreciated. According to management, they will reinforce with their staff to inform customers about the new pricing policy when the appt. is made. This is only fair and considerate. Unfortunately, I still won't be returning due to the new pricing policy that doesn't allow for partial tanning prices (legs only). The prices are way too steep for my pocketbook. Tanning packages were suggested, but since I only have my legs tanned before an event this really won't work. read more

Will not be returning to this place! Prices are crazy ridiculous and they charge a $50 sign up fee!! For what??? Doesn't make sense a sign up fee??? Found a new place not far and it's right on Main Street called SOLAR ECLIPSE TANNING. Prices are much better, probably half of what Beach Bum charges. There's NO sign up fee... it's new and absolutely beautiful inside. I get so tan from their beds and stand up and I'm so happy I found this place. It's like a boutique tanning salon which makes it even nicer. They have spray tanning and some kind of teeth whitening too. The owner is very nice and gave me a free tanning packet :) Not paying beach bums ridiculous prices!!!! read more

I can't say enough of Beach Bum Nanuet!!!! It's my go to for tanning packages , detox wraps and the clean friendly environment. The girls are so kind and helpful. The assistant manager was in recently and he is the reason I upgraded to the diamond package. I would have never tried the beds if it wasn't for his enthusiasm and knowledge the day he serviced me. Also, Lizzie is the sweetest most helpful of all. I will be heartbroken when she moves on to bigger and better one day. However , the great service leaders are training the other ladies so the customer service will continue to be five star. They are very clean. One more time for attitude because that makes it more of an experience. The staff makes it an enjoyable and relaxing stop in my hectic day. read more

The ladies at this location are amazing the atmosphere is relaxing clean Jen & jessica made me feel right home jessica even offered me after tan lotion i'm able to do the fitwap & tan the location in manhattan changed their minds about you using the fit wrap and tanning the same day manhattan beach bum use exuses when i payed for a all access pass manhattan locations have a scam going on with the all access pass i didn't have to deal with this situation here here all access means tanning, air brushing, sauna all for a 150 dollars the manhattan locations have poor customer service skills since they hired new staff som e of the employees at the chelsea location don't even say hi to me or even check up on e wheni'm in the fit wrap the music is loud the staff is loud and they let people in the fit wrap with our appt taking up some of you The nanuet location has more class relaxed environment friendly well mannered the chelsea location in manhattan needs to learn custumer service skills read more

Went in for Pro Tan for my bodybuilding show and the manager Lizzy (9 years experience with pro tan) was as friendly as could be. She made the whole process easy and she knew exactly what she was doing. For any bodybuilders in the area looking for some great color for their show this is the place you need to go to. read more

Ahh, Beach Bum Nanuet - my happy place! Kelli (owner) & Joanne (general manager) are not only beautiful inside and out - they will go the extra mile to make sure you walk out of the salon a satisfied customer. The rest of the staff are courteous, and helpful as well! The beds and both stand-ups are fantastic - and the facilities are always kept very clean and sanitized. The bulbs are changed regularly, and both Joanne and Ali do an amazing job with the Spray Tans. The Mystic Spray Tan Booth (machine spray tan, instead of disrobing in front of a professional!) a great alternative if you're feeling a bit more modest. Great lotions and music selection too! I've worked in a tanning salon chain down south so I know the standards of a tanning salon. The salon was so sparse and disgusting, the girl working didn't even know what a VersaPro spray tan booth was. They only had mystic tan and they didn't sell additives. they only offered two shades of spray. then when I got into the spray tan room there were literally no supplies. they gave me a plastic shower cap there was no barrier cream except for a dirty bottle of dollar store baby lotion and wipes. she used two pieces of printer paper with double-sided tape on them for me to put my feet on so my feet wouldn't get orange. The booth itself was disgusting and dirty the top had old spray tan and dirt and dust on top of the booth, the room was dirty they didn't give you a towel to wipe anything off afterwards. I can't even express how repulsed and disgusted I am by this tanning salon. I honestly wanted my money back when I walked in the room but I figured I would just suck it up and take it as a lesson learned and never come back. read more

Though Nanuet was closed for business, they had answered the phone and stayed open to help me as I was catching an early flight out in the AM for a wedding I was in. Stopped in after stopping by the pool store and was happy I did. Just did a single session but the 2 girls working were lovely and knew their stuff. Wasn't expecting to pay as much as I did but I am happy with the results. I will be going back for a $10 airbrush tan special they run on Monday nights! read more
