I was a cashier all through HS and my line never moved this slow! I asked her if I made a purchase would I be able to get cash back. She said sometimes?? Clearly the staff was not very helpful. So I picked up 2 items that I wanted and waited in that line that was at a complete standstill. Once I got to the register and my items were rang up I pushed the request to get cash back on the card reader. Instead of simply granting my request I was informed of a fee! I had never experienced this at any other family dollar store that I've ever been to. Also, this fee was not mentioned by the staff member that asked at all - not that her answer was helpful in any way. I'll definitely be avoiding this store in the future.

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.

It didn't occur to me until they'd left that the rails must have been reversed so yet again the gentleman returned and spent at least 45 minutes to reverse the rails with much better results. They broke the blinds, damaged/chipped the wood on our furniture, lost our sofa pillows, they stuffed our belongings carelessly in a bag, our clothes were on the floor and they did not care to pick them up until I brought it to their attention. They discarded the tape rolls around the apartment as if it was a waste disposal basket. They put our sofas back as a toddler would put a toy back together. And honestly a toddler would had done a better job. The movers were negligent and extremely unprofessional. They took cigarette breaks lengthening the moving process and transferring the smell inside the space and around our belongings.One of the crew members was extremely rude and arrogant. He took our tree and banged it against the door when moving it out. Slammed the roll of black bags on the floor. He could have care less for the job he was performing. Because we paid for professional, white-glove service, we expect items to be handled with extreme care. The carelessness of the staff has resulted in leaving us with a very sour experience and it was totally the opposite of what was denoted to us in our initial conversation and in the reviews.
