Mostly they just struggled with answering basic resort questions from us and others inquired. "How do we rent chairs at the beach?" The young lady said, "sorry i don't know." I called to check on how to use the putt putt activity. Another young voice said "you just putt the ball on the grass and hit it." I laughed, "no sorry i need to check out equipment for it right?" She said, "you can look at it first if you want." So I responded, "do you have putters and balls that i can use?" She said, "yes". I responded "how do i do that?" She said "its free to use." I asked "where do i get the equipment?" She said "at the desk". I get to the desk and they tell me "i must leave my driver license to check out equipment." I had put the items out there so I would not get the inside of the condo sandy. I had done this for three nights prior with no problems. Monday morning they were gone. We asked the office, but they were no help. The lady in the office said you're not allowed to store items outside the unit. (No signs posted prohibiting it). So there is either a thief on the property which deems it unsafe or the maintenance/lady in the office took it when all she had to do was knock on the door and tell us it wasn't allowed. There are only 3 units on our floor so it seems odd that a thief would get on and off the elevator looking for stuff to steal. I suspect the office knows because our unit was next to the office and the office was not open on the weekend. A little kindness would have gone a long way In this situation.

The experience is usually always great. On the other hand, this year we had an issue with our condo. We had a booking for the week of 4th of July but the condo got sold and the new owners didn't want to rent it. No big deal, the association took care of it and found us another rental. The new condo was ok but needed some maintenance which they said they would take care of. The listing also said it could sleep 8. When we arrived, they had bought a new couch which didn't have a sleeper and never mentioned it. So now what slept 8 could only sleep 6 and we have a big family. The front office was not helpful and didn't do anything for the inconvenience. I understand that everything else was booked up because of the holiday but the front office was handling the reservation and did nothing for causing a problem for us. Other than that the location is great. It's just a quick walk across the street to the beach. There's also tennis courts that are very well maintained. The beach is pretty quiet except for holidays.

There should be covers on the kitchen chairs as they screech when moved over the floor. 10. The laundry toilet leaks. 11. At least one electrical outlet did not work---there may have been more. 12. There were rips and tears in the wallpaper which looked awful. I would have expected that the place is looked at by some knowledgeable person in between bookings to make sure it is in good shape. Obviously, it is not. In summation, it appears this unit requires extensive renovation in order to meet expectations of its guests. Maintenance should be regular, consistent and attended to on a schedule. This unit has been very remiss in maintaining its property. It is obvious the owner is averse to spending money on this unit. Because this owner has no interest in maintenance nor the interests of the people /guests whom they expect to pay for their lack of consideration, it is my recommendation this unit be taken off available condo offerings until it is properly maintained and upgraded so that guests may experience good times while using it. I really really wanted to like this condo because the patio and view were so nice; however, one thing after another happened and we ended up having to check out two nights early. From the moment we walked in, the condo had a very musty odor that we thought was just due to the cleaning products used, but turned out to be a very bad mold situation in the condo. You could tell that they had been attempting to cover up the situation by spraying and repainting the areas with mold, but they were never addressing the leakage issues and the mold was a major problem in the unit. We went and bought air purifiers attempting to make the unit work, but we have several people traveling with us that have terrible allergies and the longer we stayed in the unit the more sick we became from being exposed to the mold. The thing that finally tipped us over the edge and required us to leave early was the fact that we found a huge RAT (not mouse) in the condo. It was later divulged to us that the rat issue was known and that prior to our check in, poison had been placed in the unit. By the time we found the rat, it was half dead and had coughed up blood on the curtains. One rat was caught by the maintenance crew, but we continued to find rat droppings on the furniture and we refused to stay in this disgusting unit any longer. We were able to get a refund for all but one night. Throughout the process of talking to several employees trying to remedy the situation the issues we had were clearly very common at this property. I would never stay in this place again and I would recommend others to stay away as well until the management takes action to properly care for this property.
