Sandy Key condos are very nice and competitively priced for the area. SK is an older condo complex, but well maintained condos with direct beach access. There is a beautiful long and wide beach in front of the condos. There are two pools, a hot tub, grills, and an exercise/weight room. We've stayed at SK for the past years and highly recommend SK for the quiet stay, but with immediate access to restaurants and attractions. read more

We leased unit 327 at Sandy Key Condos. The unit was remarkably clean and well kept. The furnishings were al up to date and great working condition and newer looking in appearance. The unit was easily accessible via a a nearby elevator that we never had to wait on after pressing the door opening button. The pool area and furnishings were all in perfect condition and the grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept. Trash shoots were says clean and odor free and the transportation carts were easily accessible and always available. This vacation destination deserves an 11 out of 10 rating. Location was a bonus as well! I woukd highly recommend this complex and the unit we leased for an entire week! Kudos to the realty company managing this unit, they were very helpful and courteous. A special thanks goes to the unit owners for their expertise in decorating and maintaining this spacious unit. read more

Sandy Key is the place to go! We stayed in 621 and booked through Perdido Realty Vacations. They were super helpful and great! When we first arrived to our room, one toilet was a bit clogged. We let the office know and they had someone on their way immediately. They got it fixed and we didn't have any other issues. The room itself was very nice and appliances were almost all updated. This place is nice and quiet, so if you are looking for a relaxing vacation close to the water, this is it. I recommend checking to see if the Blue Angels are flying around the time you're visiting, they are worth the drive towards Pensacola. One amazing bonus here is that they have a place to put beach equipment overnight instead of hauling it day to day. Overall, we had a great vacation and stay. This is a great family place, we've been coming semiregularly since 1993. The condos (mostly 2 BR, some 3 BR) are overall clean, nothing is broken, everything is there. If something is not as it should be, the staff is quick to fix it. There are three buildings with "only" 8 floors each (all ocean facing from the vey large balcony). Many other places nearby are dozens of floors, which leads to a crowded beach. Here there is usually a lot of room to spread out. On the beach, you can rent a recliner (with pad) and umbrella from a third party business (with young worker on the beach to help you). Condos have everything you would want, including the oversized balconies (most with dining table to seat 6 people plus lounge chairs). Full kitchen and washer and dryer in all units (needed for the swim suit and towel laundry "traffic") The beaches are VERY clean in general, even after the BP Oil Spill. The spill fallout was tough on their business, despite the fact that there was hardly any visible issue with the beaches, the media seemed to convince people otherwise. The key-shaped pools are very popular with the kids. They are unusually strict and inflexible about food in the pool area. Kids need snacks but the security will give you a hassle if you open so much as a bag of chips (despite the nice umbrella tables). They are also strict about pool hours in the evening (no sitting around it after 10p). Note this place was decimated during Hurricane Ivan (2004), so you'll notice a lot of new things in the facilities. They were closed in 2005 and reopened softly in 2006. They have a small gym, DVD movies at the desk, tennis courts, and plenty of parking (included). The location is very close to many restaurants, grocery stores, a golf course (Lost Key), and the World-famous Florabama Lounge and Package. Rent weekly for the best rates. read more

Unit 315 at Sandy Key Condo's did not live up to it's photo's. It looked tired. The outdoor furniture was rusted and the table was very chipped. The kitchen cabinets are starting to peel, the coffee maker was falling apart, starting to look dated. The beds are old, no comforters on the beds so you could see the box springs had their liners hanging down. Poorly lit in bathrooms and bedrooms. We had to find the wi-fi router and install it. TV's are small. Coffee table worn. Second pool closed, hot tub closed and second walkway to beach gone. Keys did not work well in the lock. Just a warning! Also the knob on the bedpost was broke. read more

First I want to say that my review is primarily related to the unit we rented. Sandy Key was nice and the white sandy beach was absolutely beautiful! We stayed in building 1, unit 418. Upon arriving to the condo, I thought the unit was nice. It wasn't fancy, it appeared to be clean. My wife and I brought our daughters and planned to cook breakfast and a few dinners at the condo. The condo was advertised to sleep 8. I say this because there were exactly 8 plates, 5 bowls, etc. We were surprised by the lack of dishes. A few days later, my brother in law showed up. They were in building 2, unit 423. When we walked into their unit our jaws dropped! This unit was decorated beautifully. Really nice beach themed furniture and decor. Super nice! I immediately went to their kitchen to check their plates and bowls... They were loaded with 20 plates and I didn't even count the bowls. Nice cook wear, matching dishes, matching drinking glasses, etc. Back to unit 418 in building 1. The largest frying pan was scratched and had already started to rust. The refrigerator was leaning on the wall, not sure what that is about. The microwave, the number 1 and number 2 buttons don't work. The TV in the rooms were nice and I liked the on demand feature. The carpet in the master bedroom was a bit dirty. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and really, my biggest complaint about our unit was the kitchen. For what you pay, you should absolutely have a well stocked kitchen. In my photo there are 7 plates. One plate was in the dishwasher. Oh and the plates didn't match. I would have been embarrassed to have guests over for dinner! The drinking glasses, a large variety only a few matched, but there was a large variety of coffee mugs, they didn't match either. The exhaust fan in the master bath didn't work. So while we would certainly return, it would not be to building 1, unit 418 and we wouldn't recommend that unit to anyone! read more

The condo, 273 , was beautiful. Very nice furniture, clean, plenty of dishes and cookware.The beds were comfortable and the balcony was large and had nice outdoor seating. All condos are right on the private beach with white sand . read more

Do not stay here. We got there in the evening and when we got to the unit our condo door was OPEN and there was a key left in the door. I was there with my children and was extremely disconcerted and did not feel safe to enter. The after hours person Christina who answered the emergency line was rude and made me feel like I was being ridiculous like I was mad about a toaster or something. read more

The beach has fluffy white sand and easy access. I love the family oriented atmosphere. Our condo was nice, clean, comfortable with big rooms. The balconies are huge and face the gulf, very nice. The grounds are kept nice and the pool is perfect when you would rather not adventure out to the beach. Close to convenient stores and many restaurants. read more

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, I was a guest at Sandy Key Condominiums in Perdido Key, Florida. That evening I was by the pool with other guests and went to the breezeway in Building 2 to use the common bathroom that is maintained and owned by Sandy Key. As I tried to exit, the lock and the door knob would not work. I began banging on the door and doing everything I could to get out with no success. After screaming and banging on the door for 20 minutes, a fellow guest heard my screams and stopped to help with no success either. I told her my husband (who at that point had thought I went back up to our condo) was at the pool and to go get him for me. She did and my husband along with several other men tried everything to open this door. At this point began to feel like I was going to pass out due to the temperature in the bathroom and my exhaustion of trying to get out. A friend found a security worker to get his help. He got some tools and gingerly tried to open the door with no luck. He then told the other people there he was worried that Sandy Key would take the cost to repair the door out of his paycheck. The other guests disregarded this man as it was more important to free me from this bathroom! Finally, after about an hour of being stuck in the scorching bathroom, but husband was able to completely bust the lock and handle off the door and I was able to get out. I exited to about 20 other guests standing around who witnessed this event. All I did was ask who the girl was who helped me and gave her a huge hug. If she had not stopped I could have been in there for hours since the people I was with all thought I had returned to the condo for the evening. In speaking with other guests that night, we found out that someone else had been locked in the bathroom earlier that night and was able to get freed within 5 minutes of working on the door. Unfortunately, I did not have so much luck. There was no sign on the door after that had happened and Sandy Key did nothing to warn its guests about the faulty door and lock. That night, I immediately emailed Sandy Key (Marlene Eldridge) and the realty company we booked our trip through explaining what had happened. I did not received a response until 2:52 the following day. The email from Marlene said she was sorry for the inconvenience and if I wanted a refund (which is what I requested) I would have to go through the realty company I booked through. Anyone who has common sense knows that Sandy Key is the responsible party. I sent several emails showing the bruising I had on my knee and hip from throwing my body against the door to get out. I have called Marlene to speak with her directly, I stopped in the office to speak with her while we were there only to be told she would call me back. I STILL have not received a call back. I have since been ignored by Sandy Key, Sandy Key HOA (who has been notified about this as well) and the owner of the unit we were staying in that just so happens to be the Board President of the Sandy Key HOA. On top of all of this, the elevators were broken during our entire stay, so I had to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs with a bruised hip and knee the entire week of our vacation. I think Sandy Key needs to own up to their responsibility for what happened to me, refund my trip and learn to take care of their guests. They have been nothing but unprofessional and disrespectful! read more

After 5 years of enjoying this condo, my family of 6 rental units will never be back after witnessing a personal vendetta by a Sandy Key employee against several customers, including one of our own. She harassed, falsely accused people of attacking her to have people evicted. We were not evicted, but witnessed the total lack of common sense by Sandy Key personnel, beach, maintence & front office, & abuse of power. We will never return and hope you think twice before renting a unit at Sandy Key. They have ruined our vacation! Now looking for a new vacation condo. read more
