Inkwell is my favorite small, moody cocktail bar in Omaha. My friend and I discovered it because…read moreit's halfway between our houses, and it quickly became our go-to spot. The Old Fashioneds are some of the best I've had anywhere, and Aaron is one of the most talented mixologists in the city. In fact, Aaron is a big reason many people keep coming back. He's exceptional at what he does, and every drink reflects that level of skill. The espresso martinis are fantastic, but the "Not Espresso Martini" was an unexpected favorite that kept us coming back. One of the things I love most is that the menu changes seasonally, giving us a reason to come back and work our way through the new cocktails to find our latest favorite. The bartenders are knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their craft. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and full of character. There are actual typewriters throughout the space, which perfectly fits the literary theme and adds to the experience. As a fun touch, my friend always receives a book with her receipt and reads a random paragraph before we leave. It's those little details that make Inkwell feel like a hidden gem rather than just another bar. If you're looking for creative cocktails, talented bartenders, and a unique atmosphere, Inkwell is absolutely worth a visit. Such a vibe.

I've been to Inkwell Bar many times and it's been a reliable go-to for a while now. It's a small,…read moreintimate space--maybe seats around 30, with room for more if people are standing--so don't come expecting a big, loud bar. That's actually part of the appeal. Drinks are solid and consistently well made. Nothing gimmicky, just good cocktails done right. The ambiance is fair but comfortable, and the size makes it ideal if you're looking to have a real conversation with someone without yelling over music or crowds. Location is another plus. It's very convenient if you want a drink before or after a Westside game, or just need a low-key stop nearby. If you're after a cozy, intimate spot with good drinks and a relaxed vibe, Inkwell Bar delivers.

I ordered the chocolate martini and it hit the spot. Service was quick and attentive, especially with how busy it was for the holiday. Perfect spot for a festive night out. We'll definitely be back.

I was already out west and spotted they were doing "The Grinch" Christmas pop-up--perfect excuse to stop in! The place was adorably decked out in full Grinch theme--super cute and festive inside, totally got me in the holiday spirit. They had a fun seasonal menu going too, so I tried the churro martini and the espresso martini. Both were deliciously desserty and hit the spot perfectly for a 9pm nightcap. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and whipped up great drinks quickly. You can tell there are some regulars who love the spot, but there were also plenty of us pop-up newcomers--it felt welcoming to everyone. The space is cozy and on the smaller side, so I'd say skip bringing a big group during peak hours, but as a solo visitor, I easily grabbed a seat at the bar. I'll definitely be back soon--their regular cocktail menu looks amazing, and I hear they have fun weekly specials. Highly recommend checking out the Grinch pop-up while it lasts!

Served cold with a light layer of foam. The vibes are intimate and is a great place to hang with friends. They have a huge menu of cocktails, beers, ciders, and some snacks. The parking is okay. I'm here in opening hours, and it's packed out there. Not sure whose biz is flooded. This fine location has several people, but most arrived after me. Cools folks, too, FWIW The bar is rustic wood, with worn wood barstools. Charming. There are a varied set of tables with comfortable seats. While not huge, it's a reasonable sized bar. One TV at the far side of the bar. The bartender is cool. Someone called her Charlie and she responded. Served me a Manhattan with double the sweet vermouth, as requested. Hasn't quit moving. Whoever owns this place must be quite pleased with their work. I appreciate the black clothing worn by them. It's a look I favor. It's especially great when one's partner is at the nearby salon. Comfortable and inviting. Been here before. Will be here again!

The location is intimate and unassuming, not at all what I expected. We chose to do the prix fixe menu with the wine pairing. This is absolutely the way to go. You get four courses and leave totally satisfied. Every single course was incredible, enough that we had to exchange bites from each of our plates so we could each taste how amazing each dish was. The only thing that didn't knock our socks off was the wasabi Caesar salad; it was good bug not incredible like the other dishes. This isn't a cheap night out, but it's great for a special occasion!

They just gave it to us and walked away. They asked us how the dish was when we just received it and then we took a bite and couldn't respond and she goes you're silence must mean a good thing except that wasn't the case. We were both chewing slowly because we didn't like the dish. But one was definitely worse than the other.
