I was honestly shocked by how I was treated. I live in this neighborhood and work in the service industry myself, so l understand that busy nights and difficult situations happen. My group reserved a room for karaoke and when we walked in the bartender- Ali Lux- started yelling at us immediately. She refused to serve any of us because she said that one of us was "too intoxicated", even though she clearly wasn't. She then stated she wouldn't serve our whole group and we stated that was fine, we just wanted water because it was so hot (102 degrees) further more we just wanted to use the karaoke room reserved that we had prepaid for. She then preceded to yell at all of us infront of everyone there and called us very derogatory names. She also told us we had to leave. We asked why and she kept calling us names and forced us out and made a scene to lock the door behind us while still yelling at us. We were also warned by bartenders at another bar that she was "awful and extremely rude" and that he "hoped she didn't kill our vibe". 0/10 recommend. I am a resident of Blackstone, and frequent the area around Farnam, and was appalled this Saturday night by the service I didn't receive from Reno's. It was 12:30 AM and the bar was not fully populated. My girlfriend was trying to buy something out of the vending machines and a bar tender said to the both of us "we're done, didn't you hear me you're being disrespectful, we're done bitch get the fuck out". As a service industry member, I am downright disappointed by the service I received, since the own bars hours state that they are open until 2. That is no way to speak to a patron who was under the assumption that your establishment is open. read more

This place is amazing. I love to sing karaoke and it gives the added bonus of having private rooms where you can be silly with your friends. They charge per the hour per person and it's reasonable. They do require an ID to be held for the room and they also have a bar. The employees are all super friendly and are accommodating. The bar has fun themed drinks and are inexpensive. It's clean and they sanitize the equipment. However, my only issue is the incense that they use; it bothers my nose but it's only prevalent in the bar area and not present in the private rooms. Such a fun spot! I believe this is the only spot in Omaha that focuses on private room karaoke. While there might be openings for walk-ins, it's best to reserve a spot online, which is fast and easy to do. And there are rooms that'll fit groups of two to fifteen easily. Once in a room, the staff will come around and bring you any drinks you order. Using the karaoke machines is easy, too. To make it super easy, use their website to search for song codes and queue up the jams! So far I've only tried the tiny Tokyo-inspired room. Can't wait to get back and try some other rooms with themes like Christmas and tropical. The drinks are good, too! The house jam is a bottle of Laughing Buddha and a shot of soju, not bad for under $10. This is a spot to bring your coworkers and out of town family/friends when you're looking for a fun night out on the town. Great for birthday parties, etc. Oh, and if you don't want to grab a room and sing, that's cool too. What a fantastic gem in a cool city like Omaha. We came in during their happy hour, which allowed for free karaoke. FREE! we had so much fun we stayed for the pay karaoke. Cost is super reasonable: 5.00 per person per hour. You get your choice of different karaoke rooms, which is great. We opted for the 60s room, complete with a disco ball. You control your sing list from your phone. This is not your typical karaoke space...it's typical Japanese style karaoke where your embarrassment is only contained to you and your closest friends/frenemies. Drink prices were super reasonable (I live in Indy so that may be skewed because no drink is reasonably priced there). Zach was a great bartender and took time to show us how to work everything in the room. Great place to skip work and go to during the day, have a reunion of your besties on a Wednesday night, or relive your almost famous moments on the weekend. Highly highly recommend!!! read more

I haven't written a 5 star review in a while and Reno's rightfully deserves one. Actually, if I could rate this place 6 stars it would get it! What a fantastic addition not only to Blackstone but also Omaha! We reserved a room here that seats 8 in our party. It was the '60s Room and it was easy to book online. Before the event, I "favorited" many songs from their robust catalog via their website under my email address sign in. None of us in our group are professional singers, as far from one as you can get, and we butchered several songs but had fun doing it! End of the World by REM and We Are The World were certainly a highlight; more difficult to sing than you would think. A helpful bartender would check on us from time to time making sure we were well hydrated . . . or not. Great time here and will certainly be back for another poor intonation session soon! read more

We has the 60's room for 2 hours. It was such a good time! Here is how it works. You should reserve a room online as this place is a hot spot. You and your crew have a private room to sing, drink and have a great time. At the moment, the price is $5 per person, per hour. This is a deal! I met my people and we paid for the room up front. They can split the check for the room rental so everyone pays for their part. You can start a tab up front if you want or pay as you go. I recommend going the tab route, just easier in my experience. Once in the room, you can order drinks. Let's talk about that for a moment, shall we? Mother of the merciful! They make something called a Soju Mojito and it is dangerous! It goes down very, very easily. You can order it by the pitcher ($40) and get about 4-ish drinks from it. They also do other drinks in pitcher form. I don't think the drinks are "pricey", I think they are priced on par with other places in the Blackstone. Remember, you are not coming here just to drink, you have your local dives for that. Selecting songs is super easy as well. They have a small catalog in the room to help get you started but there is a much larger selection found online. Access the website, find the song you want, enter the code found on the upper right hand side of your screen in the room and the song queues to your room. Easy as cake! We were there for two hours and it seemed to fly by. I can't wait to go back. It reminded me of La-La-La's right outside the main gate in Misawa, Japan. I cannot wait to book another party at Reno's Karaoke--we had such a great time! I decided to plan my work holiday outing for my leadership team; this team consists of about 12 people that range in age from 30-60's. I can tell you that when I first threw out the idea as a suggestion, there were a few certain team members who said they would attend but would not participate (party poopers). Half way through our time at Reno's and those people were the same ones singing their lungs out in our private room! The staff at Reno's were warm, friendly, and overall just great. I loved that I was able to easily make the reservation online and then also check out their song selection online as well. Drinks were very reasonably priced. I only booked the room for 2 hours, but wish I would have booked a third hour. We tried to stay the third hour, but the room was booked after. Awesome place!!! With free rooms every Sunday, we had to hit up Reno's for a little after dinner party. The two bartenders (I didn't catch their names) were so awesome and cool. They have great prices for drinks and food selection of music. You're able to create a playlist before your actual reservation time, which is nice so you don't waste a lot of time in the actual room looking up songs. We stayed for 2 hours in the 60's room and there were 5 of us total. The entire facility felt clean and COVID conscious which was much appreciated. Would recommend!!!! read more

We had the Disco room and it was a blast. 15 people sat comfortably. If we wanted drinks we just put a sign in the window and the server stopped by. The staff did a great job of taking are of everyone. We all added songs with our phones and they automatically queued up, no annoying dj to deal with. I usually can't stand karaoke, but it's a lot easier to let loose when it's just you and your friends in a private room. I recommend booking online before you go. I've been to Reno's around five or six times since it opened, and until this last Friday I would've rated it my favorite karaoke spot in Omaha. In the past, Reno's had a lot going for it: quick and conscientious customer service, fair pricing, and an excellent song catalog that featured a wide variety of music that was accurate to the original recordings. I loved going there, so I was looking forward to another great night. Unfortunately, it was not to be, because it seems like there have been decisions made that remove a lot of Reno's shine. The biggest issue for me is a major change made to the karaoke catalog and overall sound system quality. The older catalog was great, but the current catalog features cheesy background vocals, songs that aren't in the right key, and missing or incorrect lyrics. Additionally, the sound system has major balancing issues; the music is deafening and the mic levels low. We had to ask the staff to re-balance the system so we could even sing, and they seemed confused "why we wouldn't want the music as loud as possible." Painfully loud music volume isn't fun - it's painful! And the mics need to be balanced with the music, because we want to hear each other sing, which is kind of the point of karaoke. The staff was quick to comply with our request, but the catalog and sound system's abrupt drop in quality is unfortunate; if you are a major karaoke buff like me, this drop in quality is nigh-unforgivable, but I'm sure they assume that if everybody's drunk, no one cares. Not true, and they've lost my business because of it. The drop in karaoke quality also makes the price harder to justify. Oddly, though my friends and I had split the bill for room time in the past, this last Friday the staff stated the room had to be prepaid on one card, and we "could Venmo each other some money" if we wanted to split it. Thank god they had an ATM. I had joined their email list because they have coupons that say you get a free hour of karaoke for joining, but I told them I had joined and had the email, and we didn't get a discount. I didn't press it, but that really bugged me too. This change of handling money is not ideal; I assume it's changed because of issues with the previous method, but I wish it could have been resolved differently. So if you're planning to use that coupon, fight for it. Finally, our room service was not great. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and kind, so I hate to even bring it up, but we did not have good drink service. Our waitress, who was very sweet, came in once five minutes into our two-hour session, and showed up twice about ten minutes apart in the last twenty minutes of our session. For the rest of the time, we did not have drink service to the room and had to leave to go to the bar to get drinks. The bar was filled with some people, but when I bought a round, the waitress and bartender were waiting for orders, so they weren't crazily busy. It was a big change from previous times I have been there; before, the staff were really excellent about checking in every 20-30 minutes to take orders. I am simply sad that standard seems to have slipped in the past few months, because before I felt very appreciated and well-served, and the drink service is part of the benefit of getting a room. I am sad for the changes that Reno's has undergone. It was my favorite place, but I guess I'll have to go back to traditional karaoke at a place like The Verdict instead - it will be the same experience, but much kinder to my bank account. read more

One of the best nights we've had in awhile! We are always going to the same bars and we wanted so try something different. We reserved the Island room for 7 of us. When we got there we ordered drinks right away, the bartender was so fun! We were put in our room and a server came to check in on our 5 or 6 times throughout the whole hour we were there. The private rooms are very cool and the selection of songs was good. We went in the winter and there are significant issues with the HVAC system. When you walk in, it felt as if a pool is hidden somewhere in a special room. The humidity was unreal, my hair frizzed up quick. The air in the rooms was not comfortable. Our bartender took 20 minutes to serve 3 people drinks, and another 10 minutes to get our fourth person a drink. Clearly bad at multitasking (as 3 of us are bartenders and know to get drink orders for the same group at the same time). Our room was good, but the bartenders told us that they were closing at 1:15 and cleared our song selection, without any warning. It seemed like they just wanted to go home on a not busy Saturday, but for a room of 10+ service industry employees, we were upset by the lack of respect by the staff, who seemed like they didn't want to be there. read more
