We had breakfast in the morning which is held in the conference center next door. Lots of choices. Barking dogs, which I know aren't the fault of the hotel, were annoying. I really don't like dogs being allowed in hotels.

I have no problem with lobby bars as I have sat at many but letting people scream and yell, along with TVs blaring at 1130 pm near hotel rooms doesn't seem appropriate, especially at a Marriott. I was put in a room on the first floor (which is my preference) but since it was right at the bar area I knew it would keep me up and I had another early long day at work the next day I asked to be moved. I was then moved to the top floor all the way down at an end, around a corner and in a cubby hole. No way did I feel safe as an older person traveling alone in this cubby hole at the end of a hall and around the corner, it was actually very odd. I always ask to be on first floor and if not possible then near an elevator. Second, I walked in the room to such disappointment! For $275 save your money and run! The room was worn down, smelled terrible, the bed was hard as a rock, room not very clean and three of the four pillows smelled like a sweaty, dirty person. Sheets were terrible and did not properly fit the bed, to the point they were bunched up, wrinkly and uncomfortable. Never would I stay here again! I am so disappointed with the Marriott on this one.

We had a full kitchen with stove/oven and a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen table to seat 4. A couch with a pull-out bed, and 2 desks. Two queen-sized beds - and they were separated by a room divider for privacy. The pool is GREAT. And there are tons of beautiful plants around. Laundry facilities on-site. The rate was the best I saw in the area ($50 a night for the suite). And it was safe, with attentive owners there day and night. When my ex visited the area, he stayed in the same place on my recommendation and also had a great experience. We will be in Clearwater again, and will stay at The Orange Motel again, for sure!

Be a good guest, you'll have a great stay. My room, and many other rooms have been completely redone, and as I write this review, Room 31 is being redone. The owners are wonderful and the Property Manager very skilled and gets things done, when or if there are any issues. Quite secure with cameras ... and the most beautiful pool that's sparkling clean, everyday and only 7 minutes to Clearwater Beach, a 5 minute walk to the famous Rumba's and minutes away from other great attractions.

Upon arrival, they were told that the only available room was on the third floor and that the elevator was not working. The hotel claimed they had called me to inform me of this in advance, but I have no missed calls or emails from them. When I spoke with the manager, Kelly, she stated that there was a note on the hotel website advising guests that the elevator was out of service--this was also not true. The hotel showed no concern that they left an 80-year-old and an 85-year-old couple, both with mobility limitations, without accommodations on New Year's Eve. They repeatedly said there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, the manager, Kelly, was extremely unhelpful and even laughed during our conversation as I tried to find a solution for my grandparents, who also face a language barrier. This level of disregard, lack of empathy, and unprofessional behavior was shocking and unacceptable

Basically a mini suite with a kitchen complete with microwave, dishwasher, 2 burner induction stove top, coffee maker, refrigerator and stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, and pots and pans. It was very clean and offered so much more than we needed. King size bed was comfy and the desk was perfect to use for some work while there. The room doors are quite heavy, so you can hear when other people are entering or leaving their rooms if they allow the door to close on it's own. They also have a pool, gym, and convenience store on the first floor. In addition to the hotel being great, there are shopping plaza's all around with so many food choices. There is even a Publix across the street if you want to buy groceries for your room stay. We had a very pleasant two night stay here and if we have to come back to this area, we would definetly stay here again! A gem really for the price and quality! Thank you Candlewood Suites!

Also, I received no housekeeping during my stay. Housekeeping had one chance to get it right and they missed it. Room was a bit warm. Air conditioning blocked south of 69° f. Normally 69 would be plenty cool for a room, but in a hotel room with shower humidity and such, this means the AC is constantly turning on and off. I think this is probably a good hotel for a one night stay if passing through. All in all I was not terribly disappointed, but I was not blown away either.

They got a nice workout room with basic workout tools and a nice pool and hot tub outside. The pool area was always clean, and they were open till 11pm at night which was great. The breakfast was alright nothing too fancy. Their stuff was nice and really helpful. The Clearwater beach is like 20 minutes away (with the car). Next to the hotel is a small park, nothing adventures but good enough to go for a short walk. It was also easy to get from the Airport to the hotel (or back). I'd stay there again.

Room was very clean and bed sheets were nice and clean, no smell or stains(we had our own sheet set and pillows, just in case, you know, which we didn't even have to take out of the car. We haven't tryed free breakfast there since they have a breakfast restaurant next door, which had awesome homecooked food and decent prices. The heated pool was a pleasure, as well as free parking and internet. Staff was really friendly and helpful. We spent 5 nights at that hotel and overall me and my husband had great time and enjoyed the stay. The only downside was the ventilation system in smoking room, it was'nt working at all.
