The valet is $40 overnight but you can get your car as many times as needed. The check in experience was easy and the manager Heather was the best. We were informed our room was upgraded which was such a nice surprise. They also explained the amenities including a pool, hot tub, roof top lounge, free pop and popcorn at 4pm, 5:30pm dinner kick back with free drinks, and breakfast. The building was previously a federal reserve bank and still has the original bank vaults in the basement area, which are now meeting rooms. The food at the breakfast and 5:30 kickback were fairly good for a hotel buffet. They had a nice variety of options and it saved us from having to go out for these meals. Everyone working on staff was super helpful and kind. They checked on us while eating to see how we enjoyed our meals. We loved our room! Did not expect to have two TVs and a nice sitting area. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean. It was a 10 minute walk from the PPG arena where we went for a concert. My third time staying at a drury plaza hotel. They are the best!

I very rarely take time to write reviews…read more But, being a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, I am aware of the difficulties in finding reliable and affordable transportation to and from the airport. I was in dire straits when my brother informed me he needed a last minute, late night ride from the PGH airport to my mom's house for the holiday. I was under the weather, and he could not secure a confirmed ride from the typical ride share companies due to the last minute and after midnight arrival. I was thrilled when my search for last minute airport transportation connected me to Reliant. Not only was George, my contact who answered a direct dial available, but also he was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and funny. I was able to secure the ride for my brother immediately, and the fare was remarkably fair! I received updates on the pickup and delivery of my sibling and feel confident that Reliant has a solid service for typical and unique transportation needs. My brother, who is a world traveler, said that George has a clean car, was on time, didn't fall asleep at the wheel, knew shortcuts, engaged in yinzer babble, and declined an additional tip as I had already settled the bill. If I wanted to talk to someone to book a service, I would go back to 1985, locate a White Pages phone book, and a push button landline phone and waste a few hours.

Service was overall good at each venue. The lobby restaurant didnt open until 5pm. However the pub was able to accommodate our needs. The adjacent bakery and coffee shop was a nice venue to have. We parallel parked on the street in front of this hotel where they allow 15 minute parking while checking in. After that, if you have a vehicle, the parking options we were given were pretty astronomically priced. One can valet at this hotel for $45/night, or if one wishes to self-park, the staff here recommended the garage across the street under the US Steel building which they told us would cost up to $35. I'm not a fan of valet, primarily because when I'm ready to leave, I want to be able to get into my vehicle and drive away, rather than waiting for someone else to fetch it, so we opted to self-park at US Steel. That garage happens to be managed by Metropolis and we were charged more than $32 to park for about 2 hours while relaxing before driving to dinner, and then were charged another $32 to park following dinner until we departed for the airport early the next morning - so $64 to park for a few hours in total, which was jaw-droppingly expensive. The front desk staff at this DoubleTree were friendly and welcoming, the warm chocolate chip cookies they offer to guests at check-in at this chain are always appreciated, and we were placed in a mini suite, with a relatively large living area with a couch, chair and large TV, and a separate bedroom with another TV. Contrary to comments I've seen in some other reviews of this hotel, our room appeared to be recently updated and modern-looking, with everything in good repair. The bed and comforter were very comfortable and we both slept well here. While we didn't have much chance to explore the area around this hotel, there was a convenience store attached to it, and the Penguins hockey arena is just a short walk away.

The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good. Fairly good food and basic bar. A bit more expensive than it should be. The hotel is approx. an 8 minute walk to the convention center and 20 minute walk to PNC Park. If I was to come back to Pittsburgh again I would not opt to stay at this hotel.

There was a security guard, but he wasn't checking anyone's tickets as they were coming in. There are vending machines for drinks and snacks. The restaurant looks like it's been vacant for years. There are a handful of places nearby to grab a bite if you have enough time. We began to board 30 mins before our departure time and left on time.
