The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is that the food arrived on time (it was 6 minutes from where we were staying) and customer service was good. The food, however, lacked flavor and was underwhelming (especially for the price), and judging by the texture of the cheese, it looked like it was sitting out under a heat lamp--it reminded my of the gross pizza my college food court used to sell. We ordered 3 different pizzas: cheese, Buffalo chicken, and Hawaiian deluxe, and all three left us dissatisfied and with heart burn. The mozzarella sticks were nothing more than breaded unmelted string cheese sticks. Ordered a special, they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived on time, they apologized and said it would be another 15 minutes as they were busy. Bummer but no biggie, but then I noticed the bill seemed high. I walked through the pricing with the woman at the register, who couldn't explain the $5 difference. So she went to her manager and he told her it was $2.50 extra for thick crust on two pizzas. I pointed out to her that extra charge was nowhere on their paper or online menus (compared to certain different crusts which were indeed listed with an extra charge). The manager then came out and seemed quite aggressive in posture and tone, saying we haven't put them in the oven yet, do you want the thick crust for the extra charge or do you want me to remake them? When I heard they hadn't even been put into the oven yet, that was pretty much it for me, as I had no interest in waiting even longer (thick crust takes longer than 15 minutes in the oven, remaking them would have taken a while, and the whole discussion was at least five more minutes burned) just to pay for an undisclosed charge, especially in light of the manager's attitude. All he had to do was waive that fee in line with his published prices, and he would have had a sale. Definitely avoid! read more

We arrived a few min before 9pm to holiday rv park. I called several restaurants and attempted to order on DoorDash, but no luck. Everything closes early here. I called Beach Pizza and the man on the phone was super friendly. He said it would be about 45 min but our pizza arrived in about 20... and it was soooo good. I wish I could give this place zero stars. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. My family and I ordered delivery, around 7:10 PM, and they said it would arrive at about 7:50 the latest. It gets to about 8:15 (over an hour late now), and the food still hasn't arrived, so we called. They told us they hadn't started making the gyro yet (which 1. we knew was a lie 2. is the easiest and quickest thing to make), and that it would be until about 8:50. It gets to be about 9, and still no updates. So we call the store again around 9:10 (two hours after we ordered the food), and they tell us they haven't even made the pizzas yet! They were rude on the phone and REFUSED TO REFUND US after WE WAITED OVER TWO HOURS, and pretty much just told us to suck it up and wait 45 more minutes (although who knows when it would actually show up, if at all?) Overall, Beach Pizza ruined everyone in my family's night, and was completely unapologetic about it. Definitely don't waste your time ordering here, because waste your time is what they''ll do. read more

It is good pizza but we wont be going back - it is just not that good. They are not doing a good job to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We had a coupon, and all over the coupon page were links to online ordering - but you cannot get the specials on that platform. We decided to pay full price to avoid having to deal with money or CCs. We get there. The guy behind the counter had a mask on, but it was down at his chin. He did not raise it when my husband went into the store, and despite paying on line, he handed my husband a pen and the receipt to sign. My husband took out his own pen. Next time we want pizza we will go to one that does curbside pickup. read more

I emailed ahead to Beach Pizza to make sure they delivered to Pismo Beach, as I was coming into town with my son and friends for his 19th birthday and knew they wanted pizza and wings. I received the nicest email response from Sal assuring me our rental was within the delivery area. I so appreciated that communication. We ordered delivery 2x from Beach Pizza while staying in Pismo Beach last weekend. My 3 19 yr. olds said it was the best pizza they had ever had - their order was sausage, pepperoni and salami on the Beach Pizza special twisted garlic crust. The spicy wings were also PRIMO, and my BLT was absolutely delicious - great bacon, wonderful bread and ripe tomatoes. We ordered the spicy wings both times. Like others on here, we discovered Beach Pizza at the beginning of the pandemic, because I wanted to support local businesses. It immediately became our favorite pizza place! The online ordering is easy and accurate. The owner is always friendly and personable. And, the pizza is amazing!! My son and I get a half-and-half: pepperoni and sausage on his half; green peppers and artichoke hearts on my half. Sooooooo good!! Been ordering from here since they opened with no problems until today...today I order pizza online like I normally do, but got an error twice saying to call the store, so I did. Tried to order pizza via phone, card declined 2x, looked at my bank account and there were 2 pending transactions from Beach Pizza totaling over $88. When I asked to speak to a manager (who also claimed to be the owner) He admitted that they have been having problems with their website off & on & that sometimes it does this, but not to worry that they did not charge me & my money should be back in 3-10 business days. This is all the money aside from $4 left in my bank account for the next 4 days & no means to order another pizza. The manager/owner says he can't do anything about it. I suggested he shut down the order portion of his website until they figure out what is causing the site to put pending transactions on their customer's accounts but not actually sending them the order & thus tying up their money which he laughed at. Even though the pizza is good, we will never order from them again. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. And be prepared to be belittled and talked down to by the manager/owner if you have any issues or concerns as he does not know how to appropriately talk to customers & show concern for their issues of which his business has caused. In his mind they did nothing wrong...he provided no solution only excuses. Very poor customer service. Again will NEVER order from here again. read more
