    Pork chop entree

The food and the service were amazing. The portions were huge. My wife and mom split the shrimp and grits. I had the pork chop entree. Both dishes were prepared to perfection.

We had a wonderful time with the girls on Wednesday night! We sat at the bar which was great, our bartender Becca was amazing, she gave us really great recommendations and was fun and so nice! We started with the oysters which were fabulous. Really fresh, not too salty and the oyster crackers and watermelon sauce that comes with them was surprisingly tasty. We had calamari, burrata and fried green tomatoes to share, and then went for the surf and turf. Everything tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot for a girls night out or special occasion. The menu is definitely expensive but worth it.

My family has come to this place for decades while briefly driving to the south of the island from our rental up north. Maybe 10 years ago it got a much spruced-up interior! It might be the best restaurant on the island, although others pretend to be. With a big party for late-lunch (we did make a reservation, which is advised), we all got served quickly with nice various seafood sandwiches. And some local beers. I forgot to take any pictures except for the one beer. We had a big ol fun conversation. I was a little worried about having so many people (9) but it worked out fine.

Entrance to interior dining. We did patio.

Return visit. Always fit this place in when stay at South Topsail Island / Beach. Cute (on the smaller side, far from over commercialized, quaint) main commerce intersection on this more residential portion of the Island. Super convenient to where we stay "SEA VISTA MOTEL" which was built in the 1950's, post WW II. This area housed missle testing facilities just around or prior to that time period. One or more of the observation testing structures stand and or has been repurposed. One is not park of a motel. The other seems to be residential or office? Possibly more. The food, drink and atmosphere have always been positive. Indoor and outside options. Also an adjoining shop. Walking distance to ice cream, cofffee, putt putt and just businesses that make beaching so ahhhhh good.

Came in after the Beach to try the Cappuccino it was so delicious that I ordered a second one. The girl who helped us was so nice and patience! We try all 3 desert they had on the menu that day :] thank you so much!!!

    Menu on 6/3/2025 ...

We booked reservations for 6/3/2025. Arrived & were sat at a booth in the bar. They were out of Crudo & the smoked trout dip by 5:45 pm. Waitress said that the trout dip is coming off the menu soon & they got no fresh fish today. Disappointing. The place was busy for a Tuesday evening. We'll probably be back, but will consider checking the menu before.

One of my fave spots in Topsail! Oysters are always amazing and the cocktails are fantastic! Food was delicious we got a little of everything!

This was the only place I saw around that took reservations for brunch so I booked it for a girls brunch while my friends and I were in Topsail. Upscale for the beach but a lovely environment. Our server was sweet and attentive. Fun little gift shop next door if you had to wait. I ordered the Farmhouse omelette, friends ordered chicken and waffles and the eggs Benedict. Presentation was lovely. Food was good. Only negative was refusal to split the check. I can understand credit card charges for a small charge but these were not. Luckily we were good friends with Venmo so one person took the bill but could be awkward for another group.

We came here to dinner on a Wednesday it was nice and was able to sit on the patio which is super nice and great atmosphere. Service was great and very attentive. We started with few drinks which were all so tasty and great. I had the Cesar to start which was excellent and refreshing and amazing. We had the short rib over gnocchi and amazing flavor we wanted to lick the bowl. I had the pork chop which is my favorite to get especially when a restaurant knows how to make a pork chop. Such a good decision cooked to perfect medium. With a sweet but not too sweet plum sauce. Over grits and greens. I devoured that. I would definitely come back the patio is super nice and the food was amazing. Great cocktails. There are comments about the price and it was more pricey than most places around the area but the quality, and flavor is worth it. Our bill was like 120 maybe it wasn't bad in all honestly

This is a very nice spot in walking distance to the beach with a cool outside bar. Very very delicious food and great service!

We come to Topsail once a year and I always look forward to dinner at the Beach Shop and Grill. The crab cakes are a fam favorite, and for appetizer you don't wanna miss the fried green tomatoes. Service is good. And the vibe is on point, with a relaxed feel that's more nice than most beach spots.

Drinks were really good and service was nice and attentive. The crab cake Benedict and shrimp & grits were delicious. We also got oysters as an appetizer and they were good. The sticky buns were not as gooey in the middle as we would have liked, but the whipped topping was nice.

They carry a few of their beers to serve as well as wine and liquor. Ever wish you were having a cocktail at Salty Turtle while your partner was enjoying a beer? Well now you can! The Cove is a "club" so you'll need to sign up for a membership at the bar before you can enjoy some drinks, but don't worry it's free to join! We enjoy coming here on Wednesday nights to play trivia with friends that is hosted by Meeser Eddie. My favorite drink to sip on when coming here is probably the spicy margarita. It's not on the printed menu, but you ask and your wish shall be granted! On Wednesdays they also offer $15 bottles of Prosecco. Yes you read that right $15 for a BOTTLE of Prosecco. Nothing beats coming to play trivia with friends and sharing a great bottle together. The staff here is always so friendly, it's clean, the service is fast & the cove itself provides excellent vibes. I think it was the special because it was almost ready for the dumpster, She said she thought the sauce tasted odd. But later her stomach wasn't feeling well I ordered the steak sandwich, And specifically asked if the steak was chopped up, As I do not like fat or gristle in the bites of my steak sub. It was large chunks of steak that the fat had not been trimmed off of there were a lot of bites that I had to simply expel onto my plate. When Kimmy our server, asked, how was the meal? I told her and she could clearly see that I did not eat most of my steak sandwich and I had spit out a lot of it. When the overpriced Bill reached our table, A tall man with a big beard came to the table and asked how was the meal? I told you him about the steak sandwich. And he asked, If we were locals I said yes we were. And he said this, Well, maybe we can take care of it the next time you're in... HE SHOULD'VE TAKEN CARE OF IT THERE AND THEN Not sure what that's really means, Since now I will never be going back. And neither should you As you read the other reviews, it is CLEARLY an overpriced menu. With overpriced drinks Just like the Owner's other "bar and grill" in Sneads Ferry Spaggia (sp)? We went there a while back and found the same thing to be true. I think they're a "couple" from New York and wanna come down here to SouthEastern, North Carolina and charge New York prices Now, I reached out to the owner the next day and never received a call back. My advice. Don't waste your time OR your money
