Was here a couple year ago and it was memorable, especially the fries. Went back in Aug/25 just for the fries and the staff not seem to know what I was talking about. They were all children. Could not even get a glass of water until I went to the cash register on way out and asked personally. The fries were pathetic. Am suspecting the ownership has changed. Jump started dinner service as the only patrons at 3:30pm, so naturally we scored the best lake view table. Found the Power Bowl plenty satisfying with its generous assortment of veggies over a bed of quinoa & greens edged with crunchy toasted pecans. Shrimp or chicken can be added but I found even without the protein, it was powerfully filling & tasty. My partner enjoyed the Fried Chicken Sandwich featuring a gooey sauce and a substantial bun that held the whole thing together. French fries were hot with a crunchy exterior. And we couldn't resist splitting the chocolate cake which presented as a warm, flourless delight topped with caramel sauce. Decided to stop here for lunch as it was convenient after we explored the waterfront. My wife had a salad, I had the beef dip. Food was good but not a level 5. Waiter was businesslike and suitably courteous. I am not sure if this is a Canadian thing as we encountered it at most of our meals in Canada, but we were not offered refills for our beverages. Attended my cousin's wedding here and everything about this place was incredible. They had an oyster and shrimp bar, serving a wonderful selection of fresh oysters from all over the country. The bar service was some of the best I've experienced. The ladies serving were so personable and excellent at problem-solving, and going the extra mile for service. The venue had room for a live band, and they cleared the dinner tables efficiently to make way for a comfortable dance floor. Their salad was a departure from the usual Caesar or spring salad. It had chick peas and flavour. Excellent taste! I had the prime rib, and it was perfectly done and the sides were also very tasty. The location is so picturesque. It's right across the street from the lake front, so you can go and catch the sunset while you wait for dessert Overall, if I were in Goderich again, I would definitely come back to try their regular menu. read more

Great spot right by Lake Huron! We had patio seating and was able to enjoy a great view of the lake with our dinner, which was magnificent. Although we were intermittently distracted by a bee who kept flying too close to our drinks. For food, I ordered the burger with salad. It was a decent tasting burger, albeit slightly bland. Overall, I would still recommend this if you are visiting the Lake Huron area for the first time! read more

We were in Goderich for the day and on route to the beach when we spotted Beach Street. The patio has a gorgeous view of the blue water. There aren't too many options on the lunch menu, but I ordered the soup of the day (tomato) with crab cakes. I loved the presentation of each dish, and they tasted great. Not sure what other dining locations there are in the area, but this is a great choice close to the water. read more

Th old Goderich Train Station was relocated on the beach on the shores of Lake Huron. The patio tables offered a beautiful view and the perch and the vegetarian coconut curry entrees were delicious. We highly recommend. read more

The only thing I found good about this restaurant is the location.....The food is over priced for what you get plain and simple. Atmosphere is over done and not matched up to the food selection. Kinda like a wannabe upscale crabby joes. Opening a quality restaurant requires quality food. If you want a nice view and a high bill for average at best food, this is the place to eat. Went back again to give the place a second chance, big waste of time and money. Food was overpriced for what it is, service was slow at best, and the management leaves much to be desired . To hear the proprietor complaining about the grain elevator interrupting his business due to noise and dust being created, was just sad and pathetic. The elevator is at the heart of crop exports from Huron county and does millions of dollars of business per year and has been in that location forever it seems. How someone can set up a business in a harbour and then complain about it being a working harbour is beyond stupid and just shows the elitist attitude that permeates out of this establishment. Stopped in for lunch. Overnighter with my Mom. Beautifully restored interior. The food was exceptional...fresh ingredients, well prepared, flavorful. I had the seafood chowder which had chunks of salmon, shrimp, and mussels in it. There was a lot going on in the dish...complex flavors, well cooked ingredients. Mom had the perch. Lightly battered and not overcooked. Wish I lived closer because I would go back and try something different. read more

Beautiful Location on the beach in Goderich! The historic Station has been transformed into a classy restaurant. Had lunch there on the patio, phenomenal view! The service was fast and friendly. The severs wear uniforms which compliment the settings. Choice of meals was good and the special, an open face roast beef sandwich for $13. was excellent! They split the meal for us, without having to ask. This restaurant is in the perfect location and it great addition to Goderich! read more

The only place to get a drink and a real meal directly on Lake Huron south of Port Elgin. The food is nicely presented and well prepared. There is a good selection of beers on tap. And good value for money. Pleased to see that some of the service hiccups they experienced in the first few months after opening last year have been resolved. Service is pleasant and attentive. Definitely worth a visit for the beautiful view and excellent heritage restoration alone. read more

Ambitious concept for a restaurant in the old Goderich train station, which was literally moved to be closer to the lakeshore. Had the perch dinner and a beer, which were both respectable; the family seemed to agree. The view from the patio can't be beat, and the interior decor is amazing. The food is okay, but overpriced. The host (or manager?) was not particularly friendly, and our waitress was spacey. After ordering dessert, we were told that the only ice cream they had was pistachio. We asked to cancel our order, and we were told, "They've already been made up. It'll be fine." It wasn't. The ice-cream was gritty and tasted nowhere near anything like pistachio. The location is great, but really not worth a visit. read more

I had a Monte Cristo Sandwich. The bread was soggy, the cheese had not melted and the fries were a lump of soft, but yet overdone greasy fries. I do not know why they would serve this. My partner had fish (haddock) and chips. So her fries were like mine. But the coleslaw had tipped onto the fish making the batter taste like vinegar and become soggy. While the coleslaw was tasty it ruined the fish - the main part of the meal. Why they served this mess is beyond me. Great location too bad about the food. My husband and I both order salads at lunch, if the waitress was better trained she would have informed us that what we were ordering was an appetizer size, or offered to get us lunch-size portions. That I can forgive, I suppose, but the lack of training of the servers compounded with the average food taste made for a very disappointing experience.
